Can only imagine how amazing the rainy season is there, the trees filled with morning dew, cold light fog, being able to watch the rain fall through those windows and that sky light and the sounds of the birds when the rain stops. To live in the forest would be my dream come true.
And then imagine the glass walls covered in bird poo, dirt and loose leaves. So you think to yourself, I'll deal with the cleaning tomorrow. So it continues until one day the house looks like a cat litter box from the outside.

Antonia Vie Exactly! Why people comment with outrge and cursing because of the price ~ that sense of thwarted entitlement seething just under the surface. Unable to conceive concepts because they are obsessed with money. I can't afford this , but I get the concept , and I'd love to have one! I can dream!
Yes- however one must be fully able bodied, strong and average sized to manage well in that house. Unfortunately as junk food tastes take over many wouldn't be comfortable there. It's not for everyone, but some of us can dream. And, yes, such detailed features ARE expensive. I get sticker shock every time I look at quality things....Those glass doors alone must be over $100K!
Antonia, a word from a writer: ditch the word "very". With it, you lose credibility, both as a person and as a writer. Otherwise, I get your drift but disagree that anyone would want to live in that gunmetal-gray, lifeless box for very long, including its creator.
I wondered about bird strikes as well. But, aside from that, and the need for a very special site, I really like it. I would love sleeping up in that loft. The felt may be my favorite feature.

*+Kirsten Dirksen* This just popped up in my 'feed' after all these years and it has been a pleasure to revisit this fabulous dwelling. It may not be to everyone's taste and I am not usually one to be into monocolour schemes. However, this is so thoughtfully constructed, so mindfully put together that it is definitely on my top ten of favorite structures. I won't list all the ways it ticks the boxes. You've already shown that. It just pleases me that after 3.5 years, I am still impressed by it. And clearly it has been of interest to close to six million others so maybe there is hope for others. Just so long as we don't forget that those that constantly find ways to accrue excessive amounts of cash (obviously off those that the system takes it from) should find ways to find housing solutions for those that such a structure would be more than enough for many. Bravo to the designers as well!

I just went to their website to check out some of their stuff because I thought it was beautiful, $5,400 for that floating bathroom vanity, $65 for a soap dish, $100 for a bathroom towel. Oh and that kitchen island that they showed? Yeah $50,000... These guys are beyond words.
Mosquitoes!? Incredibly posh place to choose between being stifled by heat or eaten alive. The ladder and zero backrests on all seating means only very young wealthy person would like it.
Excellent design! Would make a wonderful, magical retreat for the woods or country or city life even! I love it!

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. The place, the interior, the solutions, everything is just perfect. We only have one container, so much less space, but still your project is very inspiring to solve some details. Thank you very much for the beautiful video.
SUPER COOL! My wife is really into the tiny homes, whereas I'm more into the small, container homes, both made to our specifications. I'm hoping that we can get something this cool built when we're financially ready, though we would never, EVER spend $600,000 on a house. That's ridiculous. Something similar to this could be done for under $200K and I'd be just as happy with it.

wonderful but who fills the water tank and from where ) where does sewage go to ...and washing machine when emptying ..None of this is explained ...I like as nature is super etc etc
+Denstoradiskmaskinen that much I heard but only in as much as is in a cylindrical area underneath . Have relistened and relistened 5 times and I know there is water storage and sewage .How these are filled and emptied with mains pipes or an approved sewage pit is vague ..Very vague .Having lived on a canal boat there have to be tanks and correct filling points plus disposal points ,,,,, It just is covered ooooh so briefly Love your videos but this was mainly talk about enjoying nature ..This we know how to to do .:) If a fraction of the time had been given to basics as was given to opining closing windows it would have been a balanced video ..
+Denstoradiskmaskinen OK there may well be a cylinder ..What capacity ? Not a word How the water gets to that cylinder in the middle of nowhere .Talk about silly If the facts were made as clear to us as that the designer loves nature .... fine.... I love nature but there are practicalities to be consindered.Fair to self , fair to nature --
+HelenaMikas all these cabins in the middle of nowhere are great but they never explain how they get electricity or how the plumbing or sewage system works.
+HelenaMikas It's probably just two tubes running to two opposite spots of the lake: One sucks water in, the other spits sewage out. At least that's how I would do it :).
It's 2019, four years after the unveiling of the VIPP Shelter and I have not been able to banish my thoughts about this home to the rubbish bin. It's always there, relentlessly popping up in head at the most unexpected moments. And when I binge watching HGTV I find myself comparing what I see before me to the VIPP Shelter. Most homes are sloppily designed. In contrast, the VIPP Shelter is like a razor. It's sharp, focused, a singularly perfect object. The VIPP Shelter is more akin to a Ferrari than a home... oh, ye doth protest too much. When you look at a Rothko don't say that it's not a Vermeer. The VIPP Shelter is a new kind of masterpiece. It needs nothing more.
Redesign the interior, add a screen, motorize the glass windows, and add a metal shutter over those windows to protect from storms/burglars and you have a good beginning. Modualize it so that customers can order things like extra bedrooms, bathrooms ect and you have a great product.
I really like the concept, and your suggestions would be great options if this is going to be their market. Many are discussing the pricing of the unit. Sweden's costs for everything are far more expensive, but for people that are Scandinavia are aware that outside of Northern Europe you could be looking at lower costs. Redesigning the interior has many challenges, like the noise dampening, the costs for motorising the glass windows of that weight, and your suggested metal shutters could detract from the clean lines that they have achieved. Screens are quite common in America, but you do not see this in homes outside of North America. These screens also have some setbacks due to the risks of running into them when it is new. That could a serious health and safety risk. Their appearance would make the clean link to the outside and compromise its appearance. The same would apply to the metal shutters.I have seen some higher grade barriers that you are suggesting, but these would not only diminish the space but would take away from the style and potentially add a considerable cost factor for this unit. They have some great ideas from this design, but I agree that there might be some options to personalise your unit. Environmental laws in Scandinavia are far more restrictive in nature, so expanding the plumbing and water usage could be prohibited, especially when you are considering this type of dwelling so close to the lake. Outside of Scandinavia Environmental Laws are far less stringent, so these good suggestions could be more feasible in places like America where environmental restrictions have been eliminated. These compromises could result in the loss of safely enjoying your lake. I would take all of these issues into account and would likely refuse to build something of that nature in countries with lowered health and safety standards.
You'd see the sunrise in the morning :) It is an awesome house. Just imagine a village of these inside a fully abundant community. An abundant community is more than self sustainable. It produces enough to sell or give things away to neighbouring communities.
You can use solar panel for electricity, bio gas unit for kitchen gas, you have a nice idea, but it can be more eco friendly if you would have use the local soil, mud, wood and stones for building the house.
Anyone who has lived in a heavily wooded area can see the drawbacks of this shipping container house. No locks on the doors? But I guess you don't need to secure you're stuff while out in the woods.Trees drop stuff all the time, not just in the Fall. The roof and skylights are going to be covered with twigs, branches and leaves, not to mention bird crap and bugs. You'll need to be constantly cleaning up there. Opening up to enjoy nature is nice on the drawing board, but there is way more to nature than a breeze. Insects, birds and mammals large and small inhabit the woods, all looking for shelter. They're going to love this place. Climbing the boulder staircase is going to be so much fun, especially in the rain or snow or when they're icy, especially with no railing. And who could live in what amounts to an exhibition at a zoo? No window coverings? At least install the glass that turns opaque when an electrical charge is put to it. They broke rule number one: form follows function.
this applies for hotels i guess, with a lot of boxes like this would be a good idea for business-hotels since it serve the clean everyday right.... as u said wouldnt be good for real home, only hotels... also security provided.
Complaining about people being able to look inside of this space is ridiculous. What do you have to hide? Don't buy it then! You complain about the material used on the walls. But wool has self cleaning properties. Can you afford this house anyway? Didn't think so! The Sky lights will be full of bird poop and leaves? Didn't you see that the ceiling was easily accessible? Do you seriously thing someone that has half a million to spend on a design house has your worries? A lock at the door? Really? That is your worry when you see this house?
I like the design exterior of the building. I like the windows how no one can't see in, but the owner can see out. My only complaint is that he should have built a staircase instead of a ladder because when one gets old climbing on one will be a struggle.
Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful!!! I want to minimalize my lifestyle as a photographer. This is a dream lifestyle and home, made for me! thanks for inspiring and sharing this. :)
This Bauhaus mentality and attention to detail and "mechanical" attention had me in tears. Truly gifted architecture is an art that people in the US feel has been lost since Frank Loyd Write, but that is ridiculous. I am building a 2.1336 meter x 4.2672 meter trailer camper and mobile office. Kirsten and her family inspired me to make some very theoretical decisions in my materiel choices and functional understanding of the frame of the camera for each view... which is the idea of doing a mobile office in the first place... Right? Thank you.
I absolutely love this. It is wonderful! The only thing I don't like are the walls soundproofing with that itchy material that would collect dust and grow mold if they ever got wet. Otherwise, everything is great. I wish I could own one!
+FoolyLiving I thought the same thing when he said the walls were covered in a wool felt. That material will absorb moisture and odors (whatever you cook/smoke/burn will be stored in the felt), not to mention lint. No pets allowed if you expect it to stay looking like that -- well, unless you get a pet with charcoal gray fur/hair.
+FoodOfTheGods Shipping containers seem really cool, but are functionally a poor choice for a living area. Hot in the summer and cold in the winter, low ceiling height and very narrow. I've finished out a couple of them now. Nothing is easy about working on them or turns out like you envision when completed. They are very photogenic though. Take a pic when the thing is done and everyone always goes, Wow!
1Howdy1 While I agree that living in a plain shipping container might be photogenic but highly ineffective, you need to insulate them. Good insulation and layering makes them perfectly fine to use them as a living space. Not to mention the minimal costs of doing so.
$585,000 (plus 12% for freight and installation) and it all can be yours. Everything included. Furniture, cups, linens, ladder, and flashlight. Sorry. No curtains.
Let's have a look at the sliding glass doors. They are closed now. I'm going to open them. Now I'm opening them. See how they slide along the rails. Done. Now the doors are open. See how they are open. Beautiful. In the surroundings. Wind is coming in. Because the glass doors are now open. Nature is outside is inside is nature. Enough nature. Now I'm going to close the sliding doors again. Note, how they slide. Beautifully. I'm starting to close them now. See, they are sliding along the rails just like we planned to. Because we are architects but we are not, we are designers, so we have a similar but different mindset. Did I mention how beautiful the doors are? And they are heavy too. They are closed now. So I open them again. Opening, sliding, feeling,... See, did you film this? I will show once more. What to do in the woods all weekend long? Sleeping, reading, burning, closing, sliding, feeling, cleaning many many square metres of glass windows. Let's open them again. See, still working, working out, sliding huge heavy glass door windows in the prefab industrial design cabin in the woods. ;)
+Arno Nühm you said just what I feel Do we need a video to open and close windows repeatedly ? I wanted more knowledge as to how water gets there ie ) to the house and sewage is disposed of ..None the wiser ...BUT i can understand how to open a window !!!
From the steps of rock to the top features of off grid austerity it is a beautifully innovative design. With the location being remote, your intuition is grand to understand the mechanical process is more important than being technological and electronic controlled. These type systems would fail in an emergency. The privacy of the bedroom is awesome in contrast to the open living area. Quite intuitive to have felt panels for acoustics. Would be a nice place to live.
My beautiful and amazing mistress He's Danish and apparently enjoys saying "kind of like". I cringe every time I hear a (fellow) Dane saying that. One major thing wrong with the design: Being built on stilts, the floor will be completely frozen in the winters coz they are very cold in Sweden. And placing the plumbing inside the floor which will freeze solid every winter requires a special draining mechanism to prevent ruptures. As a typical architect's mad dream. Impractical as hell but extremely designed.
@vondahe: There is no problem with the plumbing. In Denmark and the south of Sweden 80 cm under the ground level is deep enough to stay out of the frost. Only in the far north it would be advices to use an electrical heating wire to support your service pipes. For the part above ground that can be isolated with isolation foam. However this house is NOT designed for the very cold area's so to call this a useless design is a bit bold. There are many holiday houses build this way and it needs so extra attention but it has nothing to do with the VIPP design.
You could build a nice granny flat like this for 50-80K. The problem here is the 4 letter word VIPP & the fact that it is completely furnished by them, their modern mass-produced version of that 1939 8 gallon trash can is $469 dollars. So you can only imagine what all the other "one off" shelter pieces cost from them...
I love all of the people bitching on here about the price. This is a custom designed house by VIPP. Sure you could build something similar for less. I mean I could build a couch out of a number of pallets that "work just as well as" a $12k couch. That's not the point. Is this out of reach of most people? sure, but it's not meant to be for the masses. I may have clutched my pearls for a split second when I saw the price but realized immediately that I'm not in this market. This is a Tesla not a Kia. Also, once you've mastered more than one language you can comment on the "sunset in the morning".
nun yabidness Thankyou. One of the only comments posted here who understands the concepts presented. The ignorance of the majority of comments makes me glad I actually scrolled through so many to find yours and only one other worth replying to. 80% of the posts are repetitive monkeying! It's a pity closed minds don't come with closed mouths. Have a great day ;)
do not even compare this to a Tesla, least you can have fun in a Tesla, this was the worst house or building ever created...ever see the dystopian movie "Equilibrium" that is the guys house he built...you sound like a right plonker with "once you have mastered more then one language bla bla bla"I have four starting my fifth and work in construction as engineer...this guy is dead inside, everything black and grey and cold mechanical look to it,not joking a fucking submarine or prison cell is a happier looking place then inside that coffin with a window, and the bullshit talk about its construction..guys build million times better then that for fraction of the price...that thing is depression in a box.
when building a house or structure 99% of people rich or not count in cost,no building is cheap which is why people factor in cost...how dare you say people are ignorant because of this, this designer did nothing new,no new concepts, nothing mind blowing..he babbles on about being "connected to nature" in lay mans term this means lots of glass,he built a box with glass and expensive fittings and fixtures, give me or any of the builders around the world the same budget and we would blow your mind, this guy is using a brand name and firing the word custom around like we should be in awe of this house..a dark depressing box he built and forget cost,it is dull and bland inside, the bad guys house in Blade Runner comes to mind, dystopian style..99% of people want a warm friendly inviting place to call home and this is not, that is why people in the comments are shocked at this house and its price...I work as engineer in construction for past 30 years and can not see where the money went, this has to be one of the coldest dark depressing houses I have ever seen and it is you who are closed minded to think people are stupid or ignorant...more like people have their heads screwed on and do not fall for this "designer" bullshit, people who have an idea about construction and forget the look of it can not see where the money went.He is what we call in the construction industry a "chancer"..would not like to see him design and build a 4 bedroom two storey house, yes that will be 7500000000000 euro and then you look across at the house next door....wake the fuck up and stop calling people ignorant when in fact they are smart enough to see this is not value for money Vipp designed or not...guy is deluded, seen house like this built for 80k and nicer much much nicer, sorry if most people are not stupid or gullible and do not agree with you but this is fact of life..your comment makes you sound like the ignorant one..love to see the cost breakdown on this house..bet you would change your mind then...the man is deluded..even other designers would raise a eyebrow to what he thinks this is worth...it always always always comes to cost and if money is no object he would not get one home built as a designer that is for sure.
Greedy "business mans" they not create nothing except MARKETING and typical "design" from template and they want 1000% profit Real price of the box include all equipment is around 10.000$ -13.000$ plus 3000$-5000$ transportation and installation.
I can just imagine how many birds slams on that glass. We have a large glass window and our house is very open. The disadvantage is having to clean the windows when birds slam on it.
Patriot Jefferson Why do you think they will get upset? I would just ask them nicely. If they ask why, just tell them your trying your best to keep your carpet clean.
well i grow up in a Asian household so i take my shoes off every time. but when i go to my friends house, which is nonasian persons house and they do take off shoes but i never do ... or i forget about that.... so ... u are okay
vecernicek2 The Czech Economy and Environment make cheaper products and pollution. Maybe 20% of Swedish Economy, and Swedish Environmental Laws make the costs very expensive, where the Warsaw Pact nations had no such Laws, and almost 30 years later has not improved to Swedish standards. I would swim in that beautiful lake, but Rivers throughout the Warsaw Pact are filled with carcinogens. I have been on the Danube but would never stick even the smallest toe of my worst enemy in it!
I got ruined by too many slasher movies to sleep just one night in this house. I would be so paranoid to be watched from the outside by some serial killers :D
having a nice house sorrounded by trees, next to the sea water and see some wild animals in the morning..... I just love it. BEAUTIFUL.

this is amazing!!! you don't only buy the construction and the amenities, you buy the whole experience for you and your family

sunrise you mean
he said sunset several times. I thought maybe he made a mistake the first time but he kept saying it.

wtf poor guy
I really love the loft area and how it's designed.
Why are all the comments so negative on these videos? It is someone’s home that he is very proud of. And he is kind enough to show it to us
Beautifully built and very unique and steady. However the dark colours would freak me out at night, couldn't handle it.
It's beautiful, but I wonder if it turns into an oven in the summertime.

+HelenaMikas It's probably just two tubes running to two opposite spots of the lake: One sucks water in, the other spits sewage out. At least that's how I would do it :).
pepper669 but spit it out to where??
Absolutely the best mobile, prefab home on the net!!!
It's really a spectacular place you have designed...and yes I can appreciate the build quality and cost associated with it.
i,d like to have a container home, just like this one. its so beautiful. a window to look at nature. much love and god,s peace be with you all.
Absolutely clean and sleek modern design. Iove the centered fireplace and the kitchen.
I’m amazed that they were able to find a system of windows that was very transparent.
Great job!
It’s very important to their philosophy😂
Damn, i would love to be in there while its raining.
Imagine being there while it snows? That would be killer!
Will water spots form on the glass, though...?
Yeeesssssssss!!!!
Yes, I could'nt agree more.
Drinking Game: Take a shot whenever he says "Nature".
I passed out drunk half way through the video ;3
Yes... let's make fun of his use of English...
We could all give a tour of our homes in Dutch, right?
Pretty sure his native language is Danish, just saying
Michael Wilder ... shit. :)
what is this? childrens hour?
Now the property on the other hand is perfect
Your design ideas are simple and essentials . Your seascape view is serene The Glassdoor's are beautiful. The shelter speaks volumes to nature.
Redesign the interior, add a screen, motorize the glass windows, and add a metal shutter over those windows to protect from storms/burglars and you have a good beginning. Modualize it so that customers can order things like extra bedrooms, bathrooms ect and you have a great product.
You forgot to add, take 400,000 from the total
I'm in love with this house. You live so close with nature ♡♡♡
There’s the ramp that leads into the entrance
Don't forget Bobo the bear
Kim
Complaining about people being able to look inside of this space is ridiculous.
What do you have to hide? Don't buy it then!
You complain about the material used on the walls. But wool has self cleaning properties.
Can you afford this house anyway? Didn't think so!
The Sky lights will be full of bird poop and leaves? Didn't you see that the ceiling was easily accessible?
Do you seriously thing someone that has half a million to spend on a design house has your worries?
A lock at the door? Really? That is your worry when you see this house?
AND bugs flying in and out. I look at all these open designs and wonder...where do they live that doesn't have something you want to keep out.
This house is truly beautiful...
I like the design exterior of the building. I like the windows how no one can't see in, but the owner can see out. My only complaint is that he should have built a staircase instead of a ladder because when one gets old climbing on one will be a struggle.
We wanted something simple...manual things....being in nature....essentially a $500,000 box!
I absolutely love this home 🏡 the glass on both sides so open, like a glass tiny house.....❤️
Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful!!! I want to minimalize my lifestyle as a photographer. This is a dream lifestyle and home, made for me! thanks for inspiring and sharing this. :)
this Stone stairs will be very fun after rain... Or even at the morning because of the lake.
Is there a hospital near by?
This Bauhaus mentality and attention to detail and "mechanical" attention had me in tears. Truly gifted architecture is an art that people in the US feel has been lost since Frank Loyd Write, but that is ridiculous. I am building a 2.1336 meter x 4.2672 meter trailer camper and mobile office. Kirsten and her family inspired me to make some very theoretical decisions in my materiel choices and functional understanding of the frame of the camera for each view... which is the idea of doing a mobile office in the first place... Right? Thank you.
I love a good sunset in the morning ;-)
+mikecat23 don't they have sunsets in the morning in the southern hemisphere....sorry , couldn't help myself ; )
I absolutely love this. It is wonderful! The only thing I don't like are the walls soundproofing with that itchy material that would collect dust and grow mold if they ever got wet. Otherwise, everything is great. I wish I could own one!
+FoolyLiving Yeah nevermind. I just looked it up and it costs nearly $600,000.
+FoolyLiving
You can probably get an architect and the manufacturing done for less than 50 000, especially if you use ship containers.
1Howdy1
While I agree that living in a plain shipping container might be photogenic but highly ineffective, you need to insulate them. Good insulation and layering makes them perfectly fine to use them as a living space. Not to mention the minimal costs of doing so.
I love the handles on the trash can.
What external temperatures are ok for this house to live comfortably, without gigantic waste of energy?
That amount of firewood is bare minimum to last a week in below zero conditions, IF that floating house is properly insulated.
Far better than you think, it's double glazed and likely well insulated, also small.
Simply love it! It looks so beautiful and cozy. I just love the idea…….is amazing!!
Very cool! Small space, but with all the glass, feels open. Nicely done.
$585,000 (plus 12% for freight and installation) and it all can be yours. Everything included. Furniture, cups, linens, ladder, and flashlight. Sorry. No curtains.
They better throw in that flashlight. It's $90 on its own!
A $1000 per sq.ft. ---- good luck, I am not buying.
Its common in Scandinavia to have houses without curtains they are just used to sleep and wake up with the light in the morning
See, still working, working out, sliding huge heavy glass door windows in the prefab industrial design cabin in the woods. ;)
+Arno Nühm Last days of Rome my friend, last days I say.
Omg I'm dying! I had to fast forward quite a bit....I like the concrete floor.... And do those windows slide? Hehe!
+Arno Nühm
you said just what I feel Do we need a video to open and close windows repeatedly ? I wanted more knowledge as to how water gets there ie ) to the house and sewage is disposed of ..None the wiser ...BUT i can understand how to open a window !!!
+HelenaMikas He said they are hidden under the house--the ground.
+Arno Nühm rofl! Also, this is $585,000 - did they mention that? LOL
as my dad used to say ''what's the point in me lighting the fire if you lot leave the bloody door open?'' Great space:)
@@meagherpaul1 vlog showcasing the house...no problem it was recording during summer...relax mate...enjoy the house 🤭
At over half a million dollars, this is an indulgence for millionaires. Not for regular people anywhere.
Just because you painted it black it shouldn't cost 700 k

@@superresistant0 wow congrats you're an idiot.

Please hear how noisy is the metal cointainer "house"!
I'm trying imaging how noisy is when is rain...like percussion!
your broken english is strangely so beautiful.
Geo Cyo I agree haha
@@geocyo8835 Thanks;)!
600 thousand dollars for a shipping container with a fireplace and sink? Bit of a mark-up.
Nice
Love watching the sunset in the morning
did he say sunset in the morning?
+Sharon Theo but he didn't mentioned, "sunrise in the afternoon" lol
Lol
Is it special or what, you won't find that anywhere on earth, hence the price tag ;-)
Okay maybe at the poles hehehehe
"We wanted a system of windows that were very transparent" That's generally what windows are...
By having two Apple computers on the table ... ;D
Welcome to Apple's marketing campaigns.
Lol
He meant that the system should be as frameless as possible, with large glass panels so no distractions.
Greg, be a little kind. English isn't his primary language.
I am in love! Love the simplicity and well-thought-out design.
Fn love the fact that you can see the sky while laying in the bed! Now you just need a telescope right beside it
The key point here it's to find the right "hidden" location to put it..

I see me in this...ON THE BEACH!
это лучшее, что я видел) вы там вообще крутые !
i was thinking this would of been like 60k but nope 585k... hopes and dreams killed lol
You can probably build a better one for under 60k.
yeah i've seen good looking ready made homes similar to this for £40-60k. I forgot the name of the company.
I hate how just because they're a "designer" they think they can sell you 4 pieces of 2x4's screwed together for $500.
Those glass panels alone are probably worth upwards of 10-20k each
You could build a nice granny flat like this for 50-80K.
And think about how much money went into building and moving it with a crane.
And for that price I could get an ACTUALLY custom designed house with FAR better materials.
when building a house or structure 99% of people rich or not count in cost,no building is cheap which is why people factor in cost...how dare you say people are ignorant because of this, this designer did nothing new,no new concepts, nothing mind blowing..he babbles on about being "connected to nature" in lay mans term this means lots of glass,he built a box with glass and expensive fittings and fixtures, give me or any of the builders around the world the same budget and we would blow your mind, this guy is using a brand name and firing the word custom around like we should be in awe of this house..a dark depressing box he built and forget cost,it is dull and bland inside, the bad guys house in Blade Runner comes to mind, dystopian style..99% of people want a warm friendly inviting place to call home and this is not, that is why people in the comments are shocked at this house and its price...I work as engineer in construction for past 30 years and can not see where the money went, this has to be one of the coldest dark depressing houses I have ever seen and it is you who are closed minded to think people are stupid or ignorant...more like people have their heads screwed on and do not fall for this "designer" bullshit, people who have an idea about construction and forget the look of it can not see where the money went.He is what we call in the construction industry a "chancer"..would not like to see him design and build a 4 bedroom two storey house, yes that will be 7500000000000 euro and then you look across at the house next door....wake the fuck up and stop calling people ignorant when in fact they are smart enough to see this is not value for money Vipp designed or not...guy is deluded, seen house like this built for 80k and nicer much much nicer, sorry if most people are not stupid or gullible and do not agree with you but this is fact of life..your comment makes you sound like the ignorant one..love to see the cost breakdown on this house..bet you would change your mind then...the man is deluded..even other designers would raise a eyebrow to what he thinks this is worth...it always always always comes to cost and if money is no object he would not get one home built as a designer that is for sure.
It is absolutely breathtaking! ❤❤❤

plus 3000$-5000$ transportation and installation.
Beautiful product, Beautiful location
I am convinced this is the house from Batman vs. Superman
...How can you see the sunset from there from where you spoke of?
It seems that there's definitely a window watching lake side in the bedroom. I think It would be for it.
Amazing open to nature sliding walls!!
I can just imagine how many birds slams on that glass. We have a large glass window and our house is very open. The disadvantage is having to clean the windows when birds slam on it.
No screens for the windows....mosquitoes and flies will have a hey day with whoever is inside.
Who does that?
+Eddie Lai....I hate when people do that....even if it just for a few minutes...please don't step in my home without taking them OFF!
Patriot Jefferson Why do you think they will get upset? I would just ask them nicely. If they ask why, just tell them your trying your best to keep your carpet clean.
well i grow up in a Asian household so i take my shoes off every time. but when i go to my friends house, which is nonasian persons house and they do take off shoes but i never do ... or i forget about that.... so ... u are okay
Stop visiting their home....
I would love to see the sunset in the morning there.
Thanks for the idea. I'm gonna build this with 3 shipping containers for quarter the price.
Guys, it really is a nice shelter, but the price totally shocked me. For half a million Euros you can build a nice villa here (Czech rep).
vecernicek2 The Czech Economy and Environment make cheaper products and pollution.
Truly amazing prefab home.
How one get to build a house on a beautiful land like that? i wonder. And what you do about the waste, water, and electric?
Simple, bio septic tank, tanker and water deposit, or hole in ground, solar for electricity. Is very simple.
How many birds crash into those windows?!
hahahahhaahaa!
I was concern accidents such as the birds.
Asking the real questions here.
For real, kudos, my friend, hahah

Yep! That's the first thing I was thinking about. That will be nerve racking hearing the birds run into the glass. Not to mention sad for the birds.
I am in love...i can live in there and overthere for the rest of my life!!! 😍
I got ruined by too many slasher movies to sleep just one night in this house. I would be so paranoid to be watched from the outside by some serial killers :D

Ok mister Bacon
He did not mention it was a bird death trap. "Its All about nature" says the bird killer designer.
The architect has no idea how is living in nature. This shelter is a shit show in praticality.
