You'll have to play in the Oxbow to find the house in the swamp, and someone mentioned talking to quest NPCs after they've gone to bed... that is correct. You can talk to any NPCs in an active quest at any time.

I’m 100 hours deep in this game thanks to your first video lol! Great vid! One tip. Turn on fast crafting in game customization if you haven’t already. Otherwise, you will be standing there for ages as you get further and have to craft more. I enjoy watching you figure out everything! Happy gaming Don! 🎉
If you have a return quest, the sleeping villagers will wake up if you talk to them. Not to get a quest. Only a return. There are plaques on each building. You have to tell your villagers what to do at each station. Or you can do that under the management tab. Sorry If I missed you figured that out. I was multitasking :) Also firewood is best. You are right. You can make it at the wood station.
The best way to learn is to try stuff out! It's a wild ride trying to flirt with people xD The simple lumber station next to the woodshed i believe is only decoration. Also to make it easier to have water at the houses when you do get more villagers, buy the scheme for the wooden bucket. Also i believe you can talk to villagers who has a quest even though they went to bed, but not otherwise. There is a perk called "Water Dance", try it out when you get the chance ;)
I love this game and really enjoy watching you play! If you have trouble with deadly animals (the red ones in hunters sight/give sight a try on people btw) just run outside their territory boundary and they’ll leave you alone. Rocks can be harvested from rocky outcroppings usually seen along the roads (it’s easier to have a villager extract rocks). Make sure you really take time to look at the management window and explore it every time you add new stations because you can get new options sometimes like selling mature livestock. You can look at peoples moods and needs, move workers to different stations or homes, manage your workstations and what they need for them to do their job(put tools etc. in the workstation storage), you can even rename your farm plots and plan out what crops get planted in which plots and you can schedule it for certain seasons (it’s only helpful if you’ve got a villager assigned). You can make tasks and quotas specific for each season if you really want to afk micromanage your village. Also, take advantage of looking at your storage from afar, you can see what’s in each storage from the management menu.

Don't rush to get married, and flirt with everyone you can, that's the best way to increase your diplomacy, but buying/selling and completing quests also increases it. For farms, vegetables don't need a big one, the one you made should be enough for the onions or cabbages, but for flax and wheat you will need the biggest ones you can make, which I believe are 16x16. To put down fertilizer or plant seeds you need to have them in your inventory. Figure out something to start trading, money isn't hard to come by in the game, but pretty much every advance comes with schemes you can buy, and soon you'll need to pay taxes. Lastly, don't rush with the main quest, it's designed to send you around the map wasting time on walking. Play around in your village and figure out how things work. There are a lot of things you can do already, and some buildings that can help you. Getting lost in the different building and crafting menus could help with understanding how the game works, I found that the tutorials in the game aren't the best, and the management system is overcomplicated. Your NPCs don’t always show what they are producing. While they are in the vicinity of the work station they are producing. I’d strongly recommend investing a few hours watching qurius munkee’s early start from a few months ago. You’ll get a more enjoyable game, both for playing and watching. Also, your torch can fend off wolves very effectively. Cheers 🇦🇺
Not at all! I usually run multiple series at a time to keep things fresh for myself and the viewers, but that does mean some time in between uploads of different games

And build a food storage and warehouse as soon as possible and store your stuff in those. Every villager can take food and tools from those.

You should start to use your axe when you get attacked. It's much more effective than spear. Wolfs usually take two hits and die.

the fields are aligned to a grid that runs from North to South or East to West, try lining up right on one those directions and it may help

I usually flirt with my own villiagers that are free. I thought the nomads reset each season? Or do you just do that to get diplomacy up? Pretty smart
They way i leveled up my production was i made spoons. lots and lots of spoons, then i sold those spoons for coin.
hi there, under th customise game option in your main menu, you can change how long your season days can be. usually i go for 10 days
