Is that coupon valid until march NEXT YEAR??? I'm looking into becoming a Rigger, but I don't want to invest that much into a course until a stage where I'm very committed to it. Thank you for the video!
Boi how I definitely understand you when you said you don’t understand half of the actual vtuber modeling/rigging processes here on UA-cam. I’ve STRUGGLED for so long so thank you for this!
Great video! I immediately bought the course xD I'm a professional Live2D rigger myself, but I'm always trying to learn from others! Not to mention in my non existent spare time I've been working on creating higher quality beginner tutorials because I know EXACTLY what you mean about the current L2D landscape!! I hope you keep on keeping on!
@@MariYumeCh Agreed!....btw I, too, had issues getting the videos to play ^^; so you're not alone there. Though in my haste, the discount code didn't connect when I was trying a second time, so here's to hoping customer support will give me the discount/credit you 🤪
Alright, i'll bite. This offer seems too good to refuse. Been really wanting to learn LIve2D for a while, but been skeptical as to where to begin. Judging from your experience this should be a fun one at least!
From one smooth brained boinghead to another, you really have been a huge inspiration for me when it came to Vtubing. You're the one that pushed me to make my own model and your tutorials and advice saved me thousands of dollars in doing so. Once I get the money, I'm gonna check out the classes because as a newbie VTuber maker and (soon enough) rigger, I wanna improve my art and also be able to learn how to rig my own models
I've noticed that I can only really rig a model if it's a chibi in like 3 days... My normal model has taken me about a week at this point. Luckily I still have about 2 weeks to complete it! ( I'm almost done at this point. :> )
I'm currently working on my first model but I started with a bust model and not a fullbody model to learn and understand live2d first, it's been literally 3 days that my days look like: waking up, working on my model for 8h, go to sleep. This is my 3rd time trying to learn how to rig but I'm not going to give up this time and I can't wait to finish my model! Btw nice video, you really did a nice job for a rigging made in 24 hours. I relate to most of what you said and it's nice to see a newbie like me sharing their experience
Enjoying the process and learning the techniques. I agree that learning Live2D is pretty tricky and it is pretty impressive to learn it in 24 hours on rigs a vtuber models.
DO NOT FEEL DISCOURAGED ANYONE i just recently tried riggin a model, and this is the first time i've tried, like, ever, if you can get a basic understanding, if there aren't any things it should take you 2 - 3 days more or less. if you feel like you can't do it, look aruond for tutorials, scavage the internet, WHATEVER YOU CAN! i struggled with keyforms but here i am, able to rig a model, the only reason mine look like crap is because I SUCK AT DRAWING, if i, a COMPLETE beginner can do it, you can too!
I agree it's hard to find vtube tutorials on youtube. Either it's something specific which can be useful when you know, or split into parts. There is one channel my friend who made my model sent me which was useful, but they split into different videos.
I can totally relate with being a perfectionist. One thing I learned making my first model is that having lines/markings on your face can make meshes and angles 10 times harder, a lesson I learned firsthand being a furry with a literal line going down his face.
Okay I might actually give Live2D a try again and go about it in a similar way you did. I dabbled in Live2D a couple of times for over a year now, and honestly, no matter what tutorial I was following or could find, nothing could explain the little issues I’d come across 😭
I wish i would've found this video sooner, literally just finished rigging a cat model which took me 4 days and a half, but none of the yt tutorials were as clear as that class seems to be, i should save up for that class cuz i rlly wanna be a vtuber
yeah live 2d tutorials on youtube are mostly mid and like a lot of them are from like 2 years ago and L2d has probably changed a little bit since then, ALSO as someone who rigs at least mid quality half body models on L2D Free you can actually do a decent ammount of stuff with it if u choose the right parameters and do a half body that doesnt need a huge canvas
Rigging hell.. 1st circle is those who realized the texture atlas is too small, or the mesh is bad late into the process. The 2nd circle is realizing that changes made without a deformer and parameter selected become permanent - and realized some time during 10 hours organizing parts and trying to make a good hierarchy; you bumped an unknown number of things making the model look disalined, distorted, and wrong before any actual rigging starts.
I am willing to spend as many hours, months, weeks, days, or even years as it takes to make a Live2D modle just so I can test whats it like to be a VTuber and plus I like putting hard work into my projects keeps my brain from falling asleep
Honestly the yotube tutorials are definitely hard to learn from because teaching is not a skill everyone has. They may have information and knowledge but to be a good teacher you need to be able to digest and communicate it in layman's terms for most average learners And for the most part, people had trouble finding professional level of rigging tutorials due to riggers gatekeeping their knowledge by purposefully withholding information or misleading the audience under the guise of "tutorial", or waste alot of time by asking people to watch their 48+hour long VODS, and most people won't watch them because of terrible attention span, and most of it is just the rigger chatting with their chat and wasting time. It's a frustrating line because "trade secrets" have pros getting customers in a niche market, but if other people want to learn, it's going to come from wasted time and energy from trial and error. And like you said, time is finite, no one wants to waste time when they don't have to. Good video, and you did very well for your rigging challenge 👏 👍
5:56 I have never understood how people find rigging to be hard it's just basic geometry.... but then I turn around and ask WHY IS COLORING SO HARD TT😢😢 ... anyone Wana swap jobs
can someone please explain the allure of vtubers to me the exaggerated voice tones and obvious extenuations in the way they say certain words is so grading for me
Ah this looks so cool, I might have to save up money and try this course. But i was wondering who made your model? Its really good! I tried looking in the description but the link there doesnt work and just says that account doesnt exist?

The “not much booba to work with” comment sounded so tearful, geez, oof. I felt the ouch in that.
:OO tysm for this! i'll update you later of what you teach mee >w< 💚💚
me speedrunning designing, figuring out how to split layers, drawing, learning the program, and using my model with 10 hours left in my free trial
i have rigged a few models, and i can rig my models in about 4 days to a week if im motivated. if not it will take me a month.
There I was planning to do it over the summer vacation
Can I create a character on a MacBook Air?‼️‼️

how much is the cost of live2d?
will we be seeing this vtuber model during stream?
