Man.. the character design, art and the whole anime intro has potential. These are some amazing designs but the in game models and the gameplay 💀 The storyline is… interesting?
Gosh, the screen just feels so cluttered. That's my issue with a lot of these open world role playing games, they always have such a cluttery feel to them. ESPECIALLY the UI. And they always make things far too complicated with extra skills and buttons that aren't needed. That's one of the appeals of Genshin, it looks simple and clean and organized.
yeah I actually play the game before genshin and I thought the game was really fun (I'm a f2p player so this is basically a high tear game for me compared to other f2p games) though the daily tasks are really many and so long to do, completing thoose tasks everyday can be considered as you having no life. Genshin's daily tasks are actually really and extremely tame compared to this game. Im at level 150 (basically 1/4 away to reaching the max level (lv. 200)) the last time I played that game and even now I'm still quite confused xd.
Yes and the coop. I like coop but having the game full of people makes everything slower and more ugly, so much in certain areas like big cities usually that you cannot play. And then there are mounts. I am actually happy that genshin does not have mounts because for me, it takes a lot of the essence of exploration. You cannot explore in these games because the map is fricked and you need the autopilot plus mount. In genshin you could just wander and the auto pilot shows you the way but it does not force your character.

Actually, the storyline from the intro isn’t far off from Genshin. It basically described the fall of Khaenri’ah. The Gods got jealous of a godless land and destroyed it. It’s just that Genshin’s intro didn’t mention Khaenri’ah because it’s going to be important later, with the mystery of why the other twin chose the Abyss. The fairies, however, are very different. How they get their “visions” in this game is not. You appeal to the fairies, you get powers. You appeal/have similar morals as one of the gods, you get a vision in correlation. This game is a complete ripoff. Edit: I’ve seen some viable arguments in the comments, and I’m here to dispute them: first of all, yes this a a somewhat typical storyline for fantasy games. It’s the specifics that make it a copy. The gods destroyed the land because the people were thriving without them. Plus, there are too many other similarities, not just the storyline, to make it a ripoff. I was simply showing that Gratis was somewhat wrong in saying that the storyline was unique. Also, another tip-off is the quality of the game. If they were really tying to make an original, successful game, do you really think it would be so low quality? They would’ve been investing time and money into it, hoping to make it all up in sales, but they know it’s a rip off (or at least that’s how they sold it, given all the commercials and trailers) so they knew people would play it once out of curiosity because they play Genshin and then leave. I’m not saying that this logic would make Genshin, or any other fantasy RPG a rip off because they have some similarities to each other, but this game has too many for it to be truly unique.
We don't fully know how visions are granted yet. There could be a different reason than just "agree with my morals" and honestly Genshin has a kind of basic story too. It's the same as when people said genshin copied botw

If this was for PC, then I would actually play it I think. It's a nice in-between of Genshin and Lost Ark. And just the fact that there's a *character creator* in it and we collect *fairies* who float next to us always sells it.

In terms of familiarity, the game feels more like a mesh of different games (I mean, to be honest, almost every game is) but I just sense more ni no kuni vibes to it than genshin, but then again, the game started off with basically some elements from genshin. Though I feel like they did that on purpose to lure people into it considering genshin is like one of the popular gacha games out there.
nah, this kind of style has been here before genshin. kinda boring every fantasy rpg/mmorpg called "genshin ripoff" oh there is element playstyle > genshin ripoff oh there is player's companion > paimon > genshin ripoff oh there is gacha > genshin ripoff genshin is open word rpg. this game is mmorpg (which you easily identified by existence of "CP" or combat power) ngl, some of world design (area, building etc) is a ripoff
This had so much potential to be a good open-world game... If only the production team thought of hiring professionals to do the storyboarding, then it would've been enjoyable in it's own way.
I tried downloading Legend of Neverland on my phone and it honestly wasn't bad at all. The base attack of the MC is amazing actually, and was WAY more interesting because you can change the weapons you use. If anything, it was more like mobile legends of sorts mixed with your usual RPG. If not for the horrible design the characters have despite the amazing art, I would have played the game. I'm looking forward to Tower of Fantasy though. And even if the gameplay of LON is bad, at least the community isn't as toxic. And we're lucky no one says Genshin is a rip of from Honkai.
@@rinna.ishere Yeah but that doesn't give genshin fans the rights to hate on other games. The fact that Hoyoverse has people trying to copy them means they are successful, it's in no means a sign to ask Genshin+Honkai players to hate on other games which copied. Mobile Legends copied League of Legends and was sued for it (?) But look at them now, they are almost as famous as the one they copied/provide even better experience for some players so yeah. And I said that because there ARE genshin fans who joke about genshin fans who actually complain that Honkai copied Genshin. Yes they are that helpless lol

The 0:22 comparison clip is my video, as you can see the little water mark on the bottom right corner of the screen I’m featured in Gratis’s video this made my week THIS IS AMAZING! Much love!
7:44 Honestly, I don't get why that'd would have to do something with Genshin. It's not like they invented the elements (reactions) or something. Then you could go further and say Genshin copied from Avatar.
@@Scarlescent the terminology genshin used for the elements has been around for a while. And going even FURTHER back Aristotle theorized the four main elements with the addition of AETHER as the element o the heavens.
How curious. The game actually looks way better than I expected. Granted, my expectations were set pretty low, considering the abysmal quality of their promo videos on the official YT channel. Janky low res title screen graphics, text written in glorious Engrish, one guy (who is most certainly not a professional VA) doing all the voices with pitch shift to sound like different characters (don't do this - it sounds terrible and it's super obvious to anyone who hears it). Looks like the flower fairies are more like ELFs from Honkai Impact 3rd than Paimon from Genshin. ELFs are actually useful in combat - they take pot shots at enemies automatically, and even have their own ultimates that can be activated manually by the player. At 12:34 the art fits the general aesthetic for ELF gacha screens so well that if someone told me this is an upcoming ELF for HI3 I wouldn't question it. -changing visions, er i mean, combat styles on the fly
they took the base aesthetic, storyline, and mechanics ppl wish genshin had, then did it all about 1/10th as well
It’s a little different then changing visions, changing weapons is a lot smoother and faster paced then changing visions in genshin. Also mounts are in like.. every single mmo ever. The paimon like thing is also different, much more akin to a familiar then paimon as it does damage and actually has uses in combat. Your picking very specific odd correlations to comment on here which some aren’t even relevant.
finally another video from gratis, ur videos always make my day and calm me down from real life stress and everything else and reminds me that theres some great people left on this earth. thank u for everything u do and just making peoples day, keep going with ur work!!!
13:02 Imagine you're a NPC at Mondstadt and saw bunch of peoples riding a big damn chicken
the way i was expecting a nordvpn sponsorship only to get hit with the two week philippines trip and phone sponsorship instead
That was honestly a better game than I thought despite the ads…still I don’t see myself flying halfway across the world for this-
I was dissapointed it was not a Nord VPN Sponsor . but it was better so I can't really stay dissapointed can I xD
Imagine booking a 2 week trip to download a game.
Lucky for me, I don't have to imagine it.
I've been waiting for a new vid, love that this will be on my recommended
These genshin ripoff vids are very entertaining
4:39 theres actually another game created by the same creators of genshin called tears of themis or sum like that that has an almost identical pull system LOL
"we got genshin at home" ahh game
i like how the red big goblin's pearl spawned from his balls
This feels like ni no kuni, genshin, and honkai impact combined more then anything ngl
about too mention that
Love to see you back again ❤️
the irony that genshin itself was highly "inspired" by newer zelda ;)
If this was for PC, then I would actually play it I think. It's a nice in-between of Genshin and Lost Ark. And just the fact that there's a *character creator* in it and we collect *fairies* who float next to us always sells it.
i didnt wanna say this cause i think it might make the dude who went to the philipines to buy a fancy phone to play that game feel dumb, but you could probably try to get it on pc after downloading blue stacks x
ik i'm really late,
but i started playing a bit ago, and the game looks a bit different (as in,, better), and it's available for PC now
3:20 xiao from walmart
I’m giving you a like mainly because of your dedication. Flying halfway round the world for this video is just a whole new level. Haha
Make sure to try adobo, Philippine mangoes, and lumpia while you are there.
Balot with vinegar is a must try
Wo bin ich hier gelandet, einmal ein Genshin Video angeklickt und direkt ist meine Startseite voll 😂😂😂.
When 99% of your game budget went to opening animation and the other 1% you spent on Genshin.
It's quite amazing how so many games manage to quicky copy the asthetics of Genshin. Genshin truly made an impact on the gaming industsry...
The fantasy Aesthetics has been there since the dawn of jrpg, genshin only really made like an anime girl/boy gacha version of Breath of the Wild.
It has block craft syndrome
Genshin truly impacts
nah, this kind of style has been here before genshin. kinda boring every fantasy rpg/mmorpg called "genshin ripoff"
oh there is element playstyle > genshin ripoff
oh there is player's companion > paimon > genshin ripoff
oh there is gacha > genshin ripoff
genshin is open word rpg. this game is mmorpg (which you easily identified by existence of "CP" or combat power)
ngl, some of world design (area, building etc) is a ripoff
@@newthian1783 Which game? No one did it at the same artistic coherence as Genshin.
This had so much potential to be a good open-world game... If only the production team thought of hiring professionals to do the storyboarding, then it would've been enjoyable in it's own way.
that intro reminded me of glitter force. that kid was zooming dude what the heck why can't we swim that fast
1:28 into the video, I get a genshin ad, clearly UA-cam knows what to do
9:09 why the pearl come out from there;-;
Logic
I tried downloading Legend of Neverland on my phone and it honestly wasn't bad at all. The base attack of the MC is amazing actually, and was WAY more interesting because you can change the weapons you use. If anything, it was more like mobile legends of sorts mixed with your usual RPG. If not for the horrible design the characters have despite the amazing art, I would have played the game. I'm looking forward to Tower of Fantasy though. And even if the gameplay of LON is bad, at least the community isn't as toxic. And we're lucky no one says Genshin is a rip of from Honkai.
well... genshin & honkai are both from hoyoverse so
@@rinna.ishere Yeah but that doesn't give genshin fans the rights to hate on other games.
Also looking forward to TOF I played the beta and I loved it. It's refreshing to play in between when in a plateau of progress in Genshin.
@@prismafay702 Yes!! I would love to be able to play TOF, since TOF is like an improvement from LON and Genshin itself :) Besides, I'm sure the TOF fandom would be way way more forgiving compared to the genshin fandom, it'll be a breather
The racism towards black people and people of colour in general plus colorism does really ruin everything
I legit feel like downloading this, not for the story or anything (cause I heard that it’s horrifying) but THE ✨G A C H A✨
same
I don't care what you say. I want the bird.
Ironically I got a genshin ad in the middle of watching this
"Iris get more dmg than me."
Yes, this game is based on HOW STRONG YOUR FAIRY, not how strong your character
You know It's a good day when one of your favorite genshin content creators uploads a new video
When we needed him the most he came back with a ripoff genshin EVEN TRAVELED TO PLAY THIS GAME 💀
the fact that neverland stole ninguang and turned her into a pyro
6:21 I swear that's someone's voiceline----
Thank you for playing these rip off's you have saved me from playing them and wasting my money
"the wonderful *country* of north america"
sir that's a continent
9:10 i swear that orb came out of his hee-hoo
the boys season 3 epsiode 3(?) in the nutshell
pearl boy manhwa
@@aiganym.nazarbek I swear i didn't reference that 😭
Bro i just saw.. *IT HAS THE SKIP BUTTON*
Lol I played this game for a while. I knew what it was immediately from the thumbnail, the bird and Iris.
Looks like they blew their whole budget on the intro and the character art.
"The Yayoi"
I thought that said yaoi for a second-
5:08
THATS SOMEONE FROM DATE A LIVE
Tips: In this game there's also hidden chest in some corner of the place.
Last time i played this game was a year ago, it have grown well in my opinion. I even remember back then they don't even have cutscene, just a plain old back to back chat
this man's voice makes my headphones vibrate off of my head
1:37 *loading* WUT
Oh we all know this one- LMAO
Also missed you f2p king 😭 I was excited for you to come back! Hope your doing well!
The 0:22 comparison clip is my video, as you can see the little water mark on the bottom right corner of the screen
I’m featured in Gratis’s video this made my week THIS IS AMAZING!
Much love!
4:14 that bird just heiled didn't it
I think I found another one, it’s called Noah’s heart
The cat traumitized
I’m so happy to see you posting again! But can we just appreciate the things this man does for us
That animated intro was some s tier tracework. They did an amazing job
7:44 Honestly, I don't get why that'd would have to do something with Genshin. It's not like they invented the elements (reactions) or something. Then you could go further and say Genshin copied from Avatar.
Dude the symbols of the elements and their names clearly tell that it's copying Genshin.
@@Scarlescent Wdym "names"? Genshin didn't invent wind, water or fire as element names
@@epRivera eat some almonds for the brain
@@Scarlescent lmao I just noticed that they switched the hydro symbol to the wind element.
@@Scarlescent the terminology genshin used for the elements has been around for a while. And going even FURTHER back Aristotle theorized the four main elements with the addition of AETHER as the element o the heavens.
The fact that your name means free in my language
Ok but the phone looked pretty hype tho
Gratis is going to be pissed when he hears about VPNs...
Actually, ELF Sirin had a very similar pose on her gacha page.
IM SO HAPPY YOU POSTED AGAIN!!!!! you are by far one of my VERY FAVORITE genshin UA-camrs!
I really wish genshin had open world system like this game. Just an alternate mod or something.
genshin is an open world game wdym
4:16 did that bird just do a hitler salute
5:24 : Honorary knight...! Honorary knight...!
