Good stuff man. You should have gone into the 'options' a bit though when Exporting your USBs, some real important Metadata stuff you can only change/set when Exporting like how your 'Key' is displayed, Alphanumeric ect when you plug the Sticks into the Players

How do you ensure that the entire track order you had on rekordbox playlist on your laptop, will show up in the exact same order when you plug in your usb on a new hardware? Thanks for the awesome videos.

Same here, for going from controller to the CDJs. These guys are a big help. You sure cannot get that much help out there as you used to. Even as being a DJ and knowing this stuff, sometimes you get stuck and need help figuring these things out and there used to be people that they can contact or collaborate with like other DJs or Pioneer personnel that can help you for cheap, but now it’s all about the money, so you’re kind of on your own. Good video. When exporting, why can we not link to the media already on the stick, instead of having to make a new copy? I keep all my media on my stick.

hello, very useful video, but I had a problem, a practice with the external ssd that I used as a rekordbox library to then export to another ssd or usb stick, unfortunately it broke. Now I find myself in the situation of having the whole library on the ssd where I had exported all the playlists of my library.
Is there a way to put the library back to how it was before???
Where do you find the history tracks on the USB to make the playlist after you have played the songs? Trying to find the history of songs on the computer to put the playlist out there.

Thanks for the video. I'm new to RB coming from Serato. I have imported my library to RB? but I don't have any playlists. Is it possible to bring my library onto a USB without having any playlists? All my crates are still in Serato, I've been trying to convert them using the DJCU but I haven't had much success! Any ideas. Thanks
@crossfader what if I'm just using Rekordbox to create a playlist for the cdj so that my tracks show up in order with cue points and my music is stored on the USB but not on my MacBook? Will that work?

Hello, I have my first proper gig tonight. And I’ve exported my songs onto my usb but I’m scared incase I get there and they haven’t been exported properly. Is there any way of checking this prior? Any quick reply would be very appreciated

Thnx a lot! 1 question: when I export any playlist to usb via Sync Manager, the Name of the playlist doesnt show up. It only says Unknown Artist (with every playlist). Can I just rename the playlist later on on the USB drive or isnt that a good idea?

Loved this video - really well explained! When I try to transfer playlists from rekordbox to my USB it skips transferring the same playlists each time. Could this mean my USB is corrupted?
make sure you dont have any tracks in the playlist that are corrupt or still trying to analyze !!
Thanks for the video. When i start RB i get a message with the RB symbol and a lock saying RB wants to make changes and asks me to enter my PW info. When i do it rejects it. when i hit cancel RB starts up! Any idea what thats about? Thanks

What if you source your music from soudncloud? Will this still work for the music I’ve saved from soundcloud?
Analysed all my tracks in rekordbox with sync manger for my usb as soon as plug my usb into the xdj-rx it will show the wave forms and BPM for the first couple of tacks when I load another track after there is no wave form anymore it's annoying
Excelent video.. I am afraid you forgot to say that when exporting to a usb pen drive you alxo esport the menu configuration of the CDj.( colors of the wave, etc..)... Do you have any other video on this?

Hi, when I played my tracks they used to have a green colour now they just turn back white, I cant see what track i have played and what track I didnt play, how to turn it back on? Can somebody explain please :)
Thanks for the video but what I noticed is that you can find hundreds of similar videos on youtube about exporting rekordbox playlist to USB but why nobody mentions about file formats? The official CDJ documentation mentions that 44/24 bit is a supported file format but in reality these type of file are not recognized by CDJs so I assume the only way is to use 44/16bit? Any recommendation or experience regarding AIFF?

I’ve seen a couple videos covering the same transfer from Recordbox to USB, I think it’s more efficient and safer to directly transfer all your music from record box to your music files and then on to a USB, that way you can use the same USB on other DAWs and extensions while still having all your music saved in one place! It would also be useful if you could explain how to deal with tracks that fail to export to your USB. Rekord Box just prompts you to look at the export log for errors...
I have since this comment figured out why it does this. When this happens you will be given a log list of what tracks didn’t export. Just go into your Playlist, find the track and try to play in in the Playlist. It won’t play, which means you have to right click and AUTO RELOCATE. It will take a couple of seconds and your done. Do this to all the track that didn’t export and then Export the whole list again. Then it will work fine!!!

Once you are done working with a song, always lock the track so it can't be analyzed again by accident.
i am getting no disc message on cdjs even after i have reformatted to fat 32. any reason why?
I have an interesting question and strangly enough, nobody talks about it. When I export files to USB or SD card, rekordbox shows me a message that not all files ware exported, but does not say WHY. I did proper tags ex, nothing helps. Also Rekordbox makes a text file in My Documents folder/ Rekordbox with the files that are not exported. Any video maybe on the subject?
okay so I bought new usb its sandisk 3.0 and when I try to export my music from rekordbox to my usb in the usb playlist it says file is missing. pleaaaaase help me to solve this problem plus the musics preview section is missing in the usb playlist
What do we do if iTunes has transferred over to Mac Music. Rekordbox export keep showing iTunes, but not Music. So the old iTunes folders are old. How to update that?

Excellent video. I just wish it worked for me. I have tried both FAT32 and Mac OS Journaled. I have also tried three different jump drives: Sandisk Extreme Pro 3.1, Sandisk Extreme 3.0, and a PNY 2.0. I have no idea what is going on. The export window just stays at 0%. I am on Monterey 12.6 and Rekordbox 6.67. Any help is appreciated.
