@@nofluid2145 True it did generic things like aliens and the future but with with a fresher take / different approach. People like an underdog story too and adding in the twist that TOM CRUISE is the underdog/coward really is a good story hook. Then another hook with the groundhog day effect. The movie keeps the audience pretty engaged until some slower parts in the third act thus earning that solid 8/10.

it’s not that bad. I can see how he thinks that way. They’re both still wrong tho. Joker is a great addition to the Batman universe and makes a good modern interpretation of the character that seems realistic. Even tho Jack Nicholson’s version was near perfect

I’d have to say I liked Joker but don’t think it’s really needed in the universe. A lot of Superhero movies are just unnecessary (cough cough Marvel the past 10 years) I think what a lot of people like about Joker as a character is the lack of an origin story, even tho in some comics he seems to be a failed comedian or something with a failed family. The mystery of Joker with no origin certainly makes him more interesting, but I don’t think the movie is so bad. Joaquin always performs well.

@@IntenseTuna well its a more grounded, humanised version of the character so he would be a bit different from other versions. He only really became the Joker in the third act as well.
