I like how recaps can make a good movie look worse than it actually is, and a bad movie look somehow good
bad movies have easier plots hence why they're easier to explain, just sad that good movies like this got shitted on by the chat because it was summarized weirdly lol

Mask 2: The Scandinavian god Odin sends a powerful artifact to earth, which falls into a family of lonely father and his son. Odin's son, Loki, is trying to get the artifact to become stronger than him. In the end, it turns out that the relationship of the human father and son and the divine Odin and Loki are similar and they only want the father and son to love and respect each other. What a awesome movie, surely it is good like in recap...
I watched the movie it was really good but I cant even understand this video explanation it really doesnt convey the message of the movie :/
@@RepEvox All movie recaps suffer from lack of context, some much more than others, especially the ones of movies with a lot of dialogue, complex plot, and no literal message or a very interpretative one.
@@RepEvox I think it's not so bad allegory.
The main character can be considered the only innocent person from nowhere who has no idea how the world around him works and with each new cellmate he acquires a new chain of knowledge - 1 disgust and rejection, 2 (after killing and eating a corpse) acceptance of cruel reality and the inevitable transition to it side, 3 an attempt to change people below you (by level cameras) having distributed what you have left of those above, 4 forcible equal distribution of funds, 5 (I think this part does not make much sense) a message to those from whom everything ascends, who creates a livelihood.
I think if the last part had been changed, the film would have had a more complete idea, a thought in the formation of a person in society and his changes for the better, albeit through bitter experience.
This guy knows how to get up at the beginning of a video and miss the plot only to complain about how it made no sense later

I actually saw the whole movie yesterday on Netflix and the ending is a literal cliffhanger
Goreng dies, and the daughter is sent back up to administration (as the message) where, considering children are not allowed to be in the platform, probably shutdown the platform or something.
The manager cries and carry her while the chefs are stunned to see her, that was filmed but edited out by the director to make the movie more "open ended", to make you question if the girl was real or some inception shit.

it's much more of a symbolic movie than anything. The ending is where they realise that the message is not a panna cotta but the kid, making the protagonist realize how stupid his plan to change everything on his own was, surenderring in the lower floor to a certain death by hunger but saving the life of the kid at last, showing the imortance of legacy. I recomend you watch the entire movie, there is a lot of cool conclusions you can make if you look at it from a more symbolic point of view.

Scrolled through entire 217 comments and only 5 were mentioning how bad of a video it was. Even if you ignore that in all likelihood reaction content hurts the entirety of the content creation sphere, you still have to face the fact that it was basically the reupload of the original video with added still image of a chair, 16 seconds of confused exclamations about video contents and an outro. So bad.
Oh, I'm just looking for if anyone finds it remotely annoying when he doesn't pause the video when leaving the room, etc, and then he's sometimes like "what happened?"
not to mention how the video itself is just a plot summary of a film, i dont understand who finds these summaries entertaining at all. you miss the entire point of the film by watching that.

I almost started watching this until I saw it was a recap video of an entire movie..
"This looks pretty bad" not even 10 seconds in
there was definitely a little bit of a surprise at the end
For those that dont know, at the end the girl wasnt an allucination, she gets to floor 0, shes showed to be ascending in the platform very fast in the end of the movie.
The very last part where the manager sees her and cries while carrying her with all the chefs stunned to see her also, that part was filmed but removed from the film by the director because he wanted to leave the ending more ambiguous.

Holy shit, I get why people are so pissed about these recaps now lmao. As someone who has watched this movie, the recap did not do the movie justice. The recap just made it completely convoluted and confusing. Yeah nah, just watch the movie if y'all want to know more about the story, its actually a really good movie to.

@@WraithLK they're still summarizing the movie, creating a script & editing sections & which parts will be on the video. that's already a hell of a lot more effort than just sitting there & eating while the video plays. & to be honest, x's reactions on these recaps aren't special either yet people still watch them only because they're parasocial & want to watch it with someone. also, you get to watch the video at your own pace, pause whenever or watch without interuptions. twitch reacting is killing youtube

You can go down with the platform because it goes down slowly, but when it comes back up it does it at such speed the it would crash whoever is on it, so that's why no one goes up with the platform.

the premise is dumb. it is saying that in a free market society the rich eat and the poor starve. I give it credit because it also uses the analogy to show that communism does not work also. The problem is they are using food and hunger to show why free markets do not work while free markets is what has significantly lowered starvation and poverty globally. look at the graphs. also their analogy better fits what a caste or feudal system is like not a free market but i can almost guarantee they mean to critisize the free market and not caste or feudal systems (would be very weird for a modern film from the west to criticize caste and feudal systems, would be irrelevant)

The people below you have no affect on how much food you get. It's only the people above you that you have to worry about. And the killed prisoners are replaced with new ones each time the placements are shuffled.

This movie has alot more juice when your not watching it threw with tts recap, I was genuinely surprised when I actually found a decently good movie on Netflix, just make sure not to watch it with english dub on and watch it in the original language spanish with subtitles.
