    Ahh you used a donor toy. That was like me using part off a white Crasher to complete my black one. Cool. 😁

      After I finish the Herr Fiend restoration (I'm still working on it) I'll restore the donor toy in a different way.

    Like the video I tried to do this with fizzle but got to the wheel pin and turned back how hard is it to get out?

    • @MisterBobot
      @MisterBobot  Рік тому

      Thanks for watching and the comment! The wheel pins aren't too bad. I had to use a very thin nail and gently tap w/ a hammer to get them loose, then just pull out w/ plyers.

    I have a Guzzle that doesn't spark anymore. All the parts are intact but I believe it's not working because the flint doesn't have enough friction against the striker wheel due to wear. Basically when the wheel spins all the flint does is bounce up and down. I don't believe there was a spring to press the flint against the striker. Do you have any ideas? Thanks

    • @MisterBobot
      @MisterBobot  Рік тому +2

      That's what I thought when I first looked at him. So I put more friction on the flint towards the metal wheel. It didn't do anything, it actually made it worse, and I leaned that the flint is supposed to be loose b/c it's "gravity fed" down towards the metal wheel. Then I noticed the damaged plastic gear on the rubber tire. The teeth were smashed and not locking into the other gears. Once I fixed the gear, everything worked perfectly. It didn't matter about the flint. So take a very close look at the plastic gear on the rubber tire. Also, how worn down is the flint? Thanks for watching and the question! :)

    • @yellowfr0g
      @yellowfr0g Рік тому +1

      @@MisterBobot Thanks for the fast response. Luckily the gear teeth are still in great condition. I see now that the rubber tire doesn't have a good grip on the gear and isn't rotating 1-to-1 with the gear.
      I tried spinning the gear quickly and could get a couple small sparks out.
      So I probably need to glue the rubber tire onto the gear.

    Hi! Does anyone know where I can get a flint for Guzzle?

    • @MisterBobot
      @MisterBobot  Рік тому

      Hi! You can try one of these, but I can't guarantee that it will work since it wasn't the issue w/ my Guzzle. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EL8I5OK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
