Putting some cellophane over the gel after applying it means you can do it in one application. Gotta be careful not to get it on the stickers though, and cleanup is a more delicate process. I would have tried taking the toy apart if possible for more control over the process.
Your commentating is hilarious. I thought I was watching a skit. Good stuff. Your super hero power ~Wow! 😂 I whiten my transformers with basic hydrogen Proxied and it seems to do the the trick. Just need multiple applications.
I had most of the autobot cars 84 I remember for my 5th birthday 84. I think most shipped 1 per case 11 cars a dozen per case back then. For my 5th Birthday I got Optimus prime first one I opened up the biggest. 2nd biggest was starscream. Then I got Sideswipe, Prowl Bluestreak & ratchet. & I got the both 2 packs Cassettes. Then for Xmas I got Megatron, Soundwave, Ironhide, Jazz & trail breaker, Huffer, Brawn & Gears . Had them for years but they got worn. then Like in 1987 Mail in I got $20 from My grandma. So I did a Mail in order, I got wheeljack then & the mini car 3 pack mail in. SO I had Most of 84 Found a skywarp years later 1990 almost complete school rummage sale for $1. Then A neighbor hood kid & His brother Broke most of my stuff & I was pissed. I never spoke to him again. my mom confronted the mother but she did nothing.
Do you really need sunlight for this stuff to work because the figure I wanna restore is my shattered glass starscream the recent figure from 2021 I just got he’s started to yellow on me and I’m looking for solutions to solve this problem if put him in the sunlight the yellowing will increase so I gotta ask again does this stuff require sunlight or can I keep him in the dark until I’m ready to apply more of this stuff
I think I ended up doing 3 applications and it seemed to get whiter on the 2nd but not the 3rd, so i think it can only do so much. I should have waited to show the end result with the ReproLabels and 3d printed spoiler, he's looking pretty spiffy now.
It works great with the white parts, but what about with other colors? I have Snarl and it's arm from grey has become somehow yellow. Is it safe to use the same technique or it will become worst?
I have not tried it on grey so it would be best to test it on something else first if possible. I have tried it with beige plastic (an old Apple computer) and it did lighten it up back to its original colour nicely.
@@Transfixed Suppose i will have to do so. I whitened my Computron in only 8 hours. Don't know if it was the substance i used or the extreme sunny weather, but i was quite pleased with the result
you didnt do it the right way, you must remove or isolate color parts like the red and green before apliyance of peroxyde, and put the figure inside transparent plastic bag before put it on the sun.
Kind of ironic most of these toys have been yellowed by the sun then you need the sun to restore it

Good advice. I always forget about wrapping it up.
Excellent tips, my friend! Another fun and informative video.

Thanks so much! I'm currently working on an updated video about whitening old toys.
Dude the whiteman joke is hilarious!
Wheeljack the 539 Lancia Stratos turbo has come in for maintenance. Shall we check on Wheeljack?
I needed this video since my newly bought g1 red alert has yellowed parts
Quick question:this won't mess up paint will it
Hope it helps! Do be careful around painted areas as it can remove paint a little.
Bro. lol. I literally just bought one too and it’s badly yellowed and that’s what I’m watching this video for.
i just bought a g1 ultra magnus that's why i'm here

Any updates on how great the whitening holds up till now?
Still the same! I don't see any yellowing coming back, but I keep them out of the dreaded sun. I'll probably do an updated video on this.
Wheeljizz.
😂
HAHAHA "Looks like Jizz!"

Ultraviolet light activates the peroxide, so it's necessary for the treatment to work.
What about colored plastic?
I need to test that and see. Good question. Please keep an eye out for my new video on whitening and I will try to have an answer in it.
It returns back to being yellow very quickly lol
If you did a 2nd application would it work even better?

Wheeljack has seats?
Yep! One seat for the Diaclone driver. Same for Ironhide, Trailbreaker, Sunstreaker and the rest.

Is the agent safe on decals/stickers and painted areas?
No, later in the video i talk about it taking colour off the stickers and paint so i would avoid those areas.
😂😂😂

Lol
Would have never bought it in the first place
