Thank you, Mr Bobot and Mike! We started our channels at around the same time, so followed your channel for like ever, and you're so talented you could get paid for repairs and restorations imo. You are indeed "not too shabby"! 😁

Great work as always!!! You're definitely the Molotow king, I don't know anyone who can get such a smooth finish as you with those pens 👍

Thank you Dave! TBH, It took a while and a lot of frustration to really learn those pens. There are so many caveats to using them, but worth it, IMO. Thanks again! :)

I remember playing with insecticons as a kid. (Dinobots like Swoop, too.) That was the extent of my TF's exposure, though.

    That's an incredible restoration.
I was wondering if a consumer grade kitchen vacuum sealer can pull enough of a vacuum to get air bubbles out of the resin during casting?
I do love the Bondic, but it is rather pricey. Recently I've just bought a generic bottle of UV resin, and used that to refill the Bondic applicator, and it works just as well as far as I can tell.
I would like to see how you might approach repairing a G1 Jetfire that has a broken tail piece where the hinge pin goes, as well as a broken plastic for where the large metal hinge piece attaches to. I'm thinking of perhaps finding some styrene tubes with a similar inner diameter as the pins and somehow attaching to the broken parts, but wanted to see if you have some additional thoughts.

Hey! Thanks for the watch and comment! Yes, I've seen people use vacuums to get rid of the air bubbles but it's usually on bigger projects. I would really like to do a G1 Jetfire! Your styrene tubes sounds good... or some type of thin rod or nail might work.

    Cool video as always man!
But I got a question, maybe I'm missing the obvious, but with Kickback's head/antenna, why didn't you just split his head open and just play with the antennas as is?
    Or is that the reason?
Meaning a bigger piece to play with versus a bunch of small pieces of fiddle with.
I'm just asking because I know that you can split the head apart. But a little pressure on the mushroom tab, and the head just springs apart. Basically it's just held together with friction.
The thing I would have liked to seen is you doing a repair on his chest piece because besides one of the antennas being broken, one of the common things to see wrong with him is that he's got a broken chess piece. So out of love to see how you would have gone at something like that!
But anyway man as always, cool video!

Hey! Thanks for the comment! Lol, yep, trust me I tried to split the head. But for some reason it just wouldn't split for me. I almost started to break it! If you ever run across one w/ a broken chest piece, send it my way, I'd really like to give that a try. Thanks! :)

@@MisterBobot A steady hand and a thin tip paint brush make all the difference.

For the yellow antenna did you use an airbrush? Hand painting with a brush kind of a pain because of the brush strokes, even doing few little coats but it gets worn-out in certain areas.
