  • hey yall. we spent a weekend in this shelter and simply forgot to record it all. I decided to take a youtube hiatus the night I was out there with the situations I had going on at home I just couldn't focus and I felt like I wasn't giving you all of me. so I hope you enjoy and get something out of this.

    That tent fly design is really handy. My favourite shelter in close country. Thanks for sharing 🇺🇸 🇳🇿

    That's a really good idea flipping that pole over to tighten it on the tie out. Never thought of that.

    I use an similiar sil tarp shelter and its very easy and fast to set up. Once you know placement of first two stakes and the shelter setbacks then its easy peasy. I use the old Integral Designs Sil shelter and Sil tarp and trekking poles. Im enjoying your channel and love that you are eating and hunting food out there.

    All tarps and tents are a pain to set up in high winds

    You ever worry about wakin up with any snakes, sleepin on the ground down there?

      It's only happening like 3 time's they are usually corn snakes or rat snakes

      This time of year Implire folks not to sleep by water because of the abundance of water moccasins and the rapid reassurance of .spiders and mosquito but those can be imitgated by a bug net or a hammock

      @offthecouch1999 lol.. yea, one time, one tiny non poisonous, 6" garder snake, may as well be a 10' boacotimbawinderattler to me.. ugh! I am deathly afraid of snakes and I dont know why. Hammocks are a game changer for me. I hated sleeping in shelter halves when I was in the service down south..

    you tried it or videoed it with the bugnet inner?

    • @offthecouch1999
      @offthecouch1999  Місяць тому

      I've used it a few times with the bug get. I like it for overnighters, but when i'm using it for 3-4 days, it kind of gets aggravating.

      It holds in a lot of heat too Funny enough. I use it more often in the wintertime. It's extremely durable, though I can't recommend it enough. I personally like an open-ended tarp with nothing in the way. That's why I don't use the bugnate, but it is a great piece again
