Thanks for sharing these adventures Cody! Just love your channel, how you film the work and how you explain things in simple English. I’ll definitely follow along for this project! It makes me wonder what happened to an old beater CT70 we had when I was in grade/middle school (late 90s) that ran for a few summers until it too seized up. At that time I had no hope of fixing it.
Cody, do you have a bore scope? I bought a Depstech DS500 bore scope after watching a Honda car mechanic use it to inspect the backs of the valves for crud on direct injection engines. The good thing about this one is that it has two cameras at the end, one that looks forward and one that looks sideways. He shoved it in the plug hole and you could see clearly the backs of the valves that were open and even the cross hatching on the cylinder walls or the piston crown with the forward camera. (I bought it to inspect my car’s valves, which I haven’t done yet.) It was $130 bucks. Some may be cheaper or improved, IDK. But that was the one he used. Also, you deserve a million subscribers. 👍
I don’t personally have one but the Shop I work for does! I’ve used it many times! It’s a snap-on one and expensive but they are really best! I actually have a video I’m working on where I use one!
Interested to see how this goes! Does the flywheel not have a couple of flats on it for you to get a spanner (wrench) on it when undoing the flywheel bolt?

Always enjoy watching your videos, learn lots everytime.
That woodruff key was hanging on for dear life xD
😂😂😂
It's probably a tapered fit. Woodruff key is just for alignment for timing
I just picked one up. Do you know what compression should be. Thank you
Heat!!!!
Get 3 or 4 heat guns aimed at the cylinder before trying to free it. Much easier and less destructive.
yeah, my first real motorbike 😀, hope you get it back on the street
Overwhelm yourself to the max😁 doing that with 11 on the go
Taking out the spark plug will help to reduce the fight against compression

Lol..u sound like me...doing 3 projects...guess were too addicted
Aceite a esa cadena
I would have expected you would fill the cylinder with oil

Why not put it in gear and rock it with the rear wheel?
Did you even see how much force he had to use, at the crank?
Do you not understand the rules of torque? @@Ashroyer86
There is no way spinning the rear wheel in gear would have unlocked this motor. Lol wait till you see why.
