So here is my question on the decals. It discusses removing a protective film. Now I've seen some models where there is a gray reflective sticker that encompasses the straight ship name and curved ship registry number on the top part of the hull. That looks odd. What I *Think* is supposed to happen is you set the decal with just water and let it dry overnight, then you peel away the larger clear decal which should leave behind only the letters. That is what I THINK is supposed to happen. Have a look at step C and you'll see why I would at least think that.
It's for that reason that I am not planning on doing my usual Microset/Microsol routine and I feel this may prevent the letters from detaching from the clear back decal.
Thoughts?
No , there is a protective film has had to be removed. As far as I understand it the decal should be stuck to the model when the film is removed. Weird decals, like you I always use microsol to give them a painted in effect but I don’t recommend it with these.
They are not conventional water slides. When dry you need to peel off the top film.
Grats on reaching the final box 👍
haha, I was saying 'why are you not using paint/marker?' :) I've already done mine with a paint pen.
im going to see how bad it looks tomorrow when i finally finish this, plus the reg number came off while i was having the issue, glad they supplyed 2 of each.
Microsol will solve this problem with the black decals
Congrats on the final stage. I hope you find the pinched wire in the neck. My final box is supposed to arrive today
