Next Friday, we'll be taking a look at the Eliminator (Linked above when available) which is thankfully, a much better experience than the FPS Dominator. In today's video, I detail my recent experience with the Dominator. And the good news is, they actually fixed a lot of the issues the previous version had! The bad news... Ive had my ps4 strikepack for a year now, and its one of the best investments I've made in terms of gaming aside from galaxy kontrolfreeks, cant play without those, I haven't had one problem with the paddles, the learning curve is a bit tedious, but definitely worth the money when you learn how to use them and get good with them, and a good alternative to claw, and they are very durable, and dont feel too cheap as well, shame on anyone using the mods tho

Personally loved the dominator more. I have huge hands so for me to the paddles were placed perfectly. Still planning on getting a Razer wolverine ultimate soon, but this is an incredible first step for the price.

one thing NOBODY has posted about (idkif people even know how) and its HUGE..
you can use this to make your triggers more sensitive... like so sensitive just resting your finger on the trigger activates it in game. it’s game changing.

If you want to buy the strikepack for the ps4 dont, get the sony back buttons. My strikepack was good for a year but then it started disconnecting every time i moved it in a certain direction. I tried taking it apart and fixing it gluing the mother board to the magnet and it was still glitching. Your going to need to buy one every year thats 35$ , thats 350$ every ten years, i hope i motivated you to save yourself the stress and anxiety trip .

I used mine for an hour straight on edit courses on fortnite and broke my paddle off literally the plastic cracked from me pressing it on the bottom. Bottom puts the most stress on them like lethal stress but that sucks considering it’s so uncomfortable to use any other way. Took my broken one back and haven’t even touched the replacement . Waiting on fusion pro controller in the mail now!!

When I had this thing for the first time I stepped on it dropped it during moving and nothing happens but I bend the cord in a odd way to play for my new set up and 3 days later I Un bend it and it’s fucked the cord Port is so trash getting a new cord won’t work

I'm going to be brutally honest I do not use no mods The only purpose why I wanted to get the strike pack FPS dominator is just so I can map the A button to the left back pedal and the right pedal is assigned to the B button like many games don't have the bumper jumper button layout and the two back pedals makes a huge difference It allows me to react quicker 😍 And yes I use the 10 ft long braided gold plated USB cable that came with it I use it for everything like single player games and online games 😍 surprisingly they haven't broke yet It's been 2 years so far 😍 Especially I am having a blast in far cry New Dawn😍👍 I wouldn't recommend using it as a holding button but more like a pressing button to avoid breaking it since it's not made out of metal 🤦♂️
Glad for this comment I just bought one and realized all the mods that were involved and I am not about that I’m glad you can just use the paddles to remap the buttons!
I honestly hate the way this modpack is connected to the controller the wires almost always fail and I genuinely wish it didn't break after like three months other than that the paddles are fine for me
I'm really hoping when your review comes out for that wireless pro controller you talked about yesterday, you think it's good, because My brother hates having to be wired, so if I get him that for christmas he'd be happy.

I've had the dominator and the eliminator. After a few weeks of using the dominator, the cable would disconnect every 5 seconds. Then after I got a new cable the paddles would not remap to buttons so it was useless. I still use the eliminator. I've had it since September. The cable doesn't connect anymore. And one of the buttons is on the verge of breaking.
When I got the dominator the cable wasn't braided.
Yeah, the ones without a braided cable was the previous generation FPS Dominator. The new gen is okay, the cord is definitely better on the Dominator and Eliminator, but it still Isn't as good as it needs to be. Same thing with the paddles
What does a strike pack actually do? Doesn’t it just help remap your buttons?

The piece that you clip the stripe pad to the controller keeps breaking I had to get three so far this year,I notice on the website it says that peace separately this is telling me that they've done that on purpose so you can keep buying the little piece.

I bought one in 2018 and broke the wire for it and I can’t even buy a new one I would rather buy an $8 wire for mine that actually was decent than a whole $35 new different one

These were my first paddles so I didn't mind the placement, I play fortnite a lot and got used to them but after 3 months my first pair broke then after 2 months my second pair broke. They purposely make the design bad and easy to break. I've heard way less complaints about the eliminator strike pack and it's been out for a while so I'm gonna give those a go. I think the only thing stopping the dominator from at least being somewhat decent is that they don't give you an extra pair of paddles and a torx screw driver to remove broken paddles, also my second dominator strikepack came with a messed up wire I had to use my old one because the new one kept on disconnecting midgame and resetting my paddle buttons.
I've seen several videos about the dominator strikepack with 100k+ views so I assume they have made thousands if not way more so I'm not sure why they aren't further improving the quality of their product, they could make so much more from customers if they just lasted longer. If the eliminators don't work then I'm just gonna go with the Power A fusion controller. (Sorry for the long paragraph)
Edit: I consider myself pretty good or decent at fortnite, like quadruple and triple edit retakes kind of good. I hope the eliminators become easy to click, I saw people saying it's kinda hard to click and I hope that isn't a problem that lasts because I need to click as fast as possible to keep that editing speed. :(
That seems to be the general average life time for dominators. Most of the time when someone says a dominator breaks, it’s before the 5 month line. If they can get people to continue buying them with the issues they have, they have no reason to fix them unfortunately. So they probably won’t, just like Microsoft and their elite series 2. Kinda sad
@@vCuda Yeah, I just wish there was more companies or well groups who made paddles alone for similar pricing but better durability. I wouldn't mind buying a new pair every year or two new, I just draw the line when it can't last 6 months or more. Then it feels something like a monthly subscription just to maintain my skill level also the design is indeed horrible, I only went to this because I didn't wanna play claw and because of the awkward position I had symptoms of arthritis and cubital tunnel syndrome.
I don’t play claw for the same reason. Hopefully one day something much more durable and comfortable will come along

Hey Cuda I had a question. I have the strikepack dominator and I love it but I was wondering which pro controller has paddles that look the most like the strikepack’s paddles thank you ! Btw I also had the same problem as you I can’t press lb and rb while using the paddles but I got used to it and I can hit rb and lb now :)
I used the strike dominator for a whole year and loved it. I saved up and got the wolverine ultimate. IMO I think the wolverine is better then the pro controllers series 1& 2

I think there's a scuf controller with the same exact paddles and better durability than the dominator paddles but consider looking at reviews of it first before buying since scuf controllers have issues of their own as well. I love the design too, it's just that it's so fragile and easy to break because of the material and shape. If they made them slightly smaller in length and wider maybe the paddles would last longer than a few months. I personally liked using them but I can't use them anymore because it's just purposely made so easy to break to try and rake in more money. There's also other scuf controllers with 4 paddles and a similar very design which may be the better option.

Anyone have luck with the tournament mode remapper? I can't get it to work at all. I'm not really interested in the mods, I just wanted to remap some buttons. Any response is appreciated.
Collective minds have their own UA-cam channel you might be able to find it there
its all on their website you can download the user manuals. Its worth it to just pay the $12 for the year just to use the mod pass stuff and remapper even if you don't use all the different custom mod packs for the games you play. Super convenient to save several different remapping layouts and switch to them with two buttons.
(Or just buy a Cronus Zen, lets you remap anything and use any headset or controller on any console or PC. So if you like PS controllers but play Xbox you can use a PS4 or 5 controller and vice versa like Xbox controller on PS/PC etc)
There is only one problem for is it cuts out the mic and then you can’t hear your friends or online people UNTIL YOU TURN OFF YOUR XBOX AND TURN IT BACK ON

I have never had a pro controller before but im kinda interested in this mod pack and don't know if I should get it. I'm already a good player but for cold war there's a ai system that will make you miss on purpose. Is this a ok replacement if you don't have money to get a actual pro controller?
I’d suggest the eliminator over this, this one honestly isn’t worth anyone’s time. The dominator is far too prone to breaking.

Exact same thing, just with 2 more buttons, and based on what I’ve seen from community feedback, it breaks a lot less often than the dominator

I literally just bought the dominator today and I’m not buying the mods but for some reason it doesn’t let me map my buttons to the paddles. Just doesn’t work. I’ve tried looking it up but can’t find anything.. any help with that?
Button remapping should be pretty simple, but if it's not working, I'd suggest looking for a firmware update of some sort. If that doesn't work, you may have a dead pack

I have one it’s trash mod packs are good I thought using them after a week bottoms get loose and it randomly turns off after an hour or less if I turn it back on just just keeps turning on and off it’s so stupid

when is the hyperx keyboard coming, i would like to see how do you react to those hyperx switches, or the responsive af kailh silver speed switches if you are gonna buy the hyperx alloy fps rgb, im speaking(lol not speaking texting more) from experience, the actuation distance of 1.1 mm is insanely responsive and good for games, and the switches are linear if you are gonna buy the alloy fps rgb

@@vCuda its alright, how is your bigbang(bazinga) kb doing, any issues maybe, also in your description i see thet you have 12gb of ddr3 memory, and the speed is a bit low (1333mhz), you could upgrade that, i have recently upgraded my ddr3 ram from 8gb 1600mhz to 16gb 1866mhz, so i have ram lying around for pc testing, you should look for hiigher frequency like att least 1600mhz, and also even tho im not interested in controllers i still enjojed the vid, because its fun to watch your stuff, and if i ever want to buy a controller i can go here for advice

Ik im like 1 year late but I just got a strike pack and tbh I have to unplug it every time I turn off my console because the mods don’t work
I’m buying my first ever Xbox next week! It is the Xbox one s because I have never had an Xbox and I wanted to test the water. Also, I’ve been reader Hong and the Xbox series s and the one s are almost identical. The one s is only slightly more powerfull( besides the 8k). And also most of the games( if not all). Run at 60fps and the one s does just that. Also compared to the series x( it is less powerfull) but agian, for the next two years or so. We as a community won’t really see next gen gameplay. Until they realse games that only the next gen consoles can play.

i used it so much the paddles broke so I carved two out of a wooden clothes pin and its beast! but the anti recoil stuff wasn't even in my manual.

Mine literally doesn’t open the mod menu. I can put it into mod mode but after that it never works. The mod lights never turn on when I hold down on the left dpad. It sucks

Tbh i think mine is just broken then I’ve had mine for about a year and i made sure it was good and clean and no dirt would go in it but idk I bought it from Walmart because I didn’t want to buy elite controller i just wanted the extra buttons for more comfortable play but it starts to wore out like the light doesn’t turn in but when I reconnect it the too lights turn off and the too eyes stay on its good after a month then it just dies after a while forcing you to buy another one i just say no to this its not worth the $35 and it sorta ruined my controller I cant crouch or aim so it also causes me to buy a new controller 3/10 out of me
unplug it and plug it back in after everytime you use it. Make sure it has the newest firmware update (download the program on PC and plug in the USB cable in your PC (remove them from controller first) and then it'll let you update it when it recognizes it.

Binds for jump, edit, and build
I had mine as left jump and right edit since I'm more dominant with my right hand I have a faster edit. I can do triple and quadruple edits consistently so just use whatever hand you're dominant with and within time if you aren't cracked already then you will be until your paddles break :(

Just bought one for fortnite cus i wanted to bind the jump and edit to the paddles, every time i plug it in to the xbox i feel suuuper sluggish with my aim and it just feels 10x more delayed am i just crazy
I haven’t noticed too much of a delay with my packs. It could perhaps be a mod issue

Because PS4 Controllers are drastically different in terms of shape. Plus they don't take batteries

I think there's an aim assist mod but I'm not entirely sure. I haven't looked at the mods in quite some time, but they're available online. Sorry, I just don't really mess with mods, so its never something I look too deep into

The cord just goes bad regardless if u even use the strick pack or not..even gently or never take it out the cord just doesn't go more than 3months😔🤦🏾 this is my 5th cord and it's not even 2 years yet and the 5th one is going bad now 🤦🏾.I even switched to a new pack that has the usb c type hoping it wouldn't go bad but like clock work it goes bad 🤦🏾 at this point im looking for another cord i cant depend on collective minds they should fix this problem i had to use an old cord of mines last time and just used it till my new cord comes in and just like that the strike pack never misses a a time to just make u wanna call collective minds and ask them what kind of timer do they have on them cuz they all go bad and they never get better..now I lost me old cord thats not that I had to use till my new cord came in so now im stuck with a cord that keeps disconnecting mid game for no reason at all and I cant understand it.🤦🏾.they should send people new ones for free or give them atleast a 6 month warranty for one cord or just package it with 3 cords or atleast 2 cords cuz they go bad quick even if u don't use it if its just sitting there plugged up it breaks.its horrible 😔

You have to hold the 2 bumper thingies on the strike pack then you hold left on the d pad and use x to cycle through the mods (lights will cycle on the top of the strike pack) then you press y to confirm
You don't need modpass but it is not illegal and helps. Well.. I use aim assist off so that part I dont care about and anti recoil doesn't really help either but the run slide cancel and drop shot and call out targets on fire is..well 🔥

is this good for apex?
At first it was nice but the cheap material and stress that is put on the paddle is terrible. My left paddle was the first to go after only about a month and then the right paddle did the same thing a couple weeks later. Its function is nice but i only really bought it for the paddles which are terrible lol
Play claw so you don’t have to worry about the remapping buttons but I guess some people don’t like claw

I like the paddles but they could have been separated out more but don’t feel that bad in my opinion don’t just go off of this video and think they are bad.they are not and he must have been jumping off the paddles into the pool because mine work fine.
There's more comments of people agreeing with my statements on the paddle placement in this video than disagreeing man lol. Just because your hands are slightly above average doesn't mean everyone else is. I do agree that people shouldn't just go off of my video, but you then go on to state that I'm wrong because in YOUR opinion the paddles feel fine 😂 like come on now. Idk what you mean with that weird little pool thing, but I gave it more than enough time for me to get used to them, and on top of that, I've had experience with tons of pro controllers. More than enough to say these are some of the most uncomfortable paddles on the market. At least for me, who's of average size lol
