The idea that the iconic gothic art deco blimps are adapted as the richest elite escaping the city, and at the end of the movie it’s revealed that it’s the court of owls who’re up there in the blimps is genius 🤯
If you need an alternate title for ‘Silence of The Batman’ I recommend ‘The Batman Shuts the Fuck Up.’ I love this pitch, Troy! I’d love to see Killer Croc make an appearance as a minor villain.
i was just thinking that, like what if killer croc jumps batman in a scene where batman is chasing the main villain in a sewer, and ends up having to run for his life from killer croc
The Batman is easily my favorite live action Batman film. That being said, I really, really hope they don’t shy away from the comic booky stuff in the sequels. The Nolan movies really burned me out on the idea of “what if Batman existed in the real world?” I want Poison Ivy to have plant powers, I want Clayface to be a man made of clay. I don’t need a big interconnected DC universe to spin out of this, but I would like for this to be a world where Superman and the Justice League could exist. I think the Arkham games are a good template for telling grounded, character-driven Batman stories without doing away with the more fantastical elements of the character. Oh, and I want Batman to sword fight Ra’s Al Ghul in the desert while shirtless but keeping his cowl on. That’s Batman.
Yeah it would be cool to see Battinson slowly transition from dealing with more realistic villains like Riddler to weirder stuff like Poison Ivy and Clayface.
@@dimitrescu182 like throughout each installment make the movies just slightly more and more comic book-y so that when they introduce characters like Clayface the audience can just accept it!
One thing I love about Paul Dano’s Riddler is how he does like just crazy stuff randomly. It really adds to his insanity, so I think in your version what would be cool is when Batman talks to the Riddler, he starts like doing random stuff doing it like singing or whatever, I just like that trait of his, made him really crazy
It also just kinda brings some of that classic comic book Riddler in even with this incarnation's gritty realism. Like I unironically loved the NO NO NO NOOOOOOOOOO scene because that's Riddler, he breaks down when things don't go according to plan! That's what he does!
@@CrazyTom736 same !! This scene was so great, it really showed Eddies temper tantrums and narcissism we know from the comics and games (...sigh Arkham Knight), but also his mentally damaged side. Great interpretation in my opinion.
Imo that's a recipe for a poorly written villain. You could replace them with a freak weather event and the story wouldn't change at all. They need to have beliefs, and these beliefs should be shown through their actions, and these actions should challenge the beliefs of the hero in same way. Having a villain that does crazy shit because "I'm so chaotic and quirky lol" leads to a meaningless and forgettable story. But that's just my two cents.
As a kid I was lonely, nobody at school wanted to talk to me because of several reasons but I found Batman and he showed me that I could be kind in a world that was cruel and that sometimes being a light in darkness is okay. I loved Reeves' Batman because it finally showed the Batman that I saw in those books as a kid. Bruce Wayne is troubled but at the end of the day his mission is to make sure to save Gotham and I love Reeves' Batman. I loved the prewrite Troy it sounds like such a fun idea.
Given how toxic comic book fans are, I am always glad to see someone found something positive in these books. That's what we're supposed to draw from them
I Like the story, like the introduction of court of owls, problem was the third act gets a lil messy and I think we’re for sure getting more joker in the next movie dc is gonna push it
According to Matt Reeves the point of having Joker and Riddler becoming “friends” was to provide proof to Selina’s words “Gotham is not gonna change.” Reeves also said he doesn’t know if Joker will be in the next movie. I think WB is finally making the right call of letting the directors handle their visions with as little studio interference as possible.
I loved the third act! I don’t understand why many people think its messy, because it was well set up and Batman doesn’t just beat up the Riddler followers but ends up helping the citizens of Gotham.
@@daanyaalmohammed4300 The OP was talking about this video, not The Batman 3rd act in theaters right now. But I do agree I loved the 3rd act and thought it made sense. It was just more action than the previous acts.
I think the number one thing The Batman 2 needs is Robin, and Dick Grayson specifically. Not only would he perfectly fit into the arc for Bruce that the first movie set up but if Matt Reeves ends up going the route of the Court of Owls it would be a massive mistake not to have one of the most important characters in that story
I totally agree. I think that we need a little bit more growth from Bruce before he can take on a Robin, but there's also something interesting about Bruce possibly not being ready to be a dad and being forced into that partnership
@@troyoboyo17 I think Bruce not being quite ready to take on a Robin would work to be a really nice parallel with his relationship with this version of Alfred who also wasn't ready to be a father. I also think that because this series' version of Joe Chill explicitly was never caught having Bruce catch the Graysons' killer would be a great way for him to get some vicarious closure on his own parents' death while also making sure that Dick doesn't turn out like him
Another thing about Robin is that his origin could work to explore more of Gotham underworld after Falcone's death. I could definetly see the Flying Graysons death happening due to a gang war between Penguin and a new crime boss (someone like Ventriloquist or Black Mask) and Batman adopts Dick and the two work together to end this war
@@Remix-pr4xd It could work either way, although having Batman becoming a mentor for Robin would be the logical next step in the second movie, with the third movie showing the consequences of Batman allowing other people to come into his life, with a new enemy (maybe Strange, Hush or Court of Owls) knowing who Batman is and attacking him through the people close to him.
I don't totally love the idea of Hush being hypnotized by the Court of Owls, because I think he's a villain that can stand on his own two feet. But this story is still pretty damn good and just further fuels my theory that the next film will feature both Hush and Court of Owls.
I agree, I'd tweak it just the teeniest bit though. I have a deep respect for Hush so I don't think he should ultimately be just a lackey. I'd prefer it if Hush's personal decision is to derail Bruce Wayne much to the opposition of the Court, so he works for them and crushes Gotham's hopes which makes Bruce Wayne's sudden altruism the golden goose for the Court and their manipulations but Hush takes it on as a secret side mission to take the body parts he needs to look like Bruce Wayne.
@@dedrik1461 Yeah I think it would be in the Court's best interest to keep Bruce Wayne alive because in the comics they have ulterior motives other than just running the city. There are specific individuals in positions of power that hold significance for varied reasons.
I personally like it, the prospect of someone like Hush being completely under the control of the Court is subverting and frightening. It makes it feel like Batman is going up against a foe completely untouchable to him. Everywhere and nowhere.
I like your idea of Hush, but a Clayface works even better for the angle that you're tackling. Love the video, by the way. He's a better angle for 2 reasons; 1) His occupation as an actor could work to set up a 'performative activism' that could work really well, in contrast to Bruce's arc and development. 2) His body horror-esque abilities could work well with Bruce working on his interpersonal skills and trust on his allies and the general population of Gotham (like Spider - Man 1 moment with the bridge). I would love to hear your thoughts.. Also, I do think further exploring the martial law aspect to Gotham could be great to introduce Renee Montoya as Gordon's partner and eventually her successor by being either destroying the existing force or be the Question as she, too, was inspired by Batman as a symbol of hope. I do think the assassin angle that you provided with, could help introduce Cassandra Cain to the fold. With her backstory and her interpretation of the Bat symbol, I think she'll make for an interesting first Robin than the usual first Robin we usually associate with. I think her father, David Cain, could be a bridge to connect to the Court more organically.
IMO I don’t like the prewright. I think if your going for a slightly lighter and more colorful tone you may as well introduce robin (maybe Jason would fit best), Robert Pattinson and Matt Reeves both said they would be interested in a comic accurate 13 year old robin. You could’ve replaced Jack Ryder and his kid with one of the robins and their parents. I’m a big fan of the twist ending tho props for that love the idea of a rat with wings being the owls
@@IcyDiamond Batman is a billionaire, crimefighter dressed like a bat who also happens to be the smartest man alive and was trained by ninjas and lives in a cave with his butler. Who cares if robins ridiculous, ain’t that the point? These movies are about taking something ridiculous and making it more realistic and serious
@@minihooperprod.8332 I honestly like the idea of Batman adopting Robin when he’s 13, training him throughout the years and then when he’s older, he becomes the Robin we all know and love
@@IcyDiamond ik but think how cool it would be for like a badass lil Jason Todd going around stabbing guys at 13 years old lmao, I’d prefer robin for like a 3rd movie tho

@@troyoboyo17 Eh just make it more like Scott Snyder's New 52 Batsuit where it's black and grey and I'm good. I'm not that interested in a blue on grey batsuit look but I think it could work under the right circumstances.
Actually bro the new battinson suit is actually blue and grey. There’s some promo photo stills out there on Instagram where u can actually see the colors. When I first saw it I was like woah his cowl, cape and collar are blue and his plates are grey.
6:50 This reminds me of my current favorite moment from any Superhero story ever. My Hero Academia, season 4, episode... 12? (Might be 11, might be 13, you lose track of these when you binge.) The hero just took off his cape and used it as a decoy to sneak away. The villain says "Huh. And I always thought heroes just wore capes because they look cool." But then, we see that he'd actually taken it off as a blanket for a little girl, saying "the reason heroes wear capes, is so they can comfort someone in need." And as soon as I heard that, I was just like "YES. EXACTLY THIS."
I think it was really funny when that cop said "the whole system would have to change" and then later in the movie there's that scene with the cops busting Falcone and Gordon says "I guess we're not all bad". I wonder if it was the writers or studio that got cold feet.
@@troyoboyo17 That was "the few cops" too scared to speak up or take an action, finally taking an action as batman started working with them on cases... and they also found strength in "Gordon" and "Batman" to do the right thing. One entity no matter how corrupt, CAN NOT be ALL BAD. I like that cop who tells batman what the carpet tool was and who greets Bruce Wayne at the funeral.. was also the only one who stepped up and put his hand on batman's chest to stop him as "it was a crime scene" and he wasn't technically allowed there until Gordon said so. and he was willing to get beat up while everyone else just watched... Gordon can not be the ONLY GOOD cop that's too unrealistic. So after multiple murders, and getting so close to solving a big case, Falcone audio getting in news... they were willing to stand with GORDON and BATMAN to do the right thing.. BATMAN isn't fighting the entire GOTHAM. HE's fighting the corrupt, bad, Gotham for the safety and betterment of Few GOOD people still living in Gotham that includes COPS. and also, Bad guys thinking they own the shit, until they don't, until there is a chance, then even those who won't say anything will stand up if they know they are not alone. So yes, cops were silent and knew of corruption but clearly.. even some cops were shocked by riddler's revelations, "ignorance is bliss" i guess.. and same with bad guys, until no one interrupted them, coz all the big players were in the pocket, they didn't care about smaller cops who were good, coz "ignorance is bliss" hence, "the whole system needs to change". Also like Catwoman pointed out, "it isn't a choice for everyone" so some corrupt cops were also corrupt coz commissioner himself was in the pocket. That's why I didn't like that you mention Batman doesn't give the kid to gordon coz he doesn't trust cops. i think. he should have a trusting relationship with few low level cops who provide him intel with things they feel helpless about, that they can't do themselves coz of corruption. and after maybe 2 movies in 3rd when we see one or more of these recurring "good cops" die as collateral or someone trying to cut out the weed, (that. is a reversal) bad guys killing out the few good cops, it becomes personal for Gordon and Batman and US. We don't always need a kid, for a banter and to show care. But that's just my take. Yours was good too. but i hope more people thinking about how to implement what we are actually shown in the movie than, dismissing what they didn't like, to create a pre-write. (no hate tho, just an opinion). Much love.. sorry it's a big comment, got carried away. Hope you consider this and make a alternate pre-write. maybe/maybe not. bye. 🦇
I think that’d it would be a bit cooler if the Batman suit from the first was so damaged that Bruce is forced to make a new suit, it would kind of address the whole “superheroes get a new suit every movie” trope like Dark Knight did
This is much too similar to the movie we’ve already received. Especially considering the fact that they drew so much inspiration from Hush for The Riddler. We don’t need another string of murders. We need something more personal, such as a Mr. Freeze story.
Overall it's a great idea, I'm just not sure if it hits the mark on the tone Reeves had for The Batman, seems a little more the way you pre-write a Marvel movie with the dialogue rather than a Batman sequel
I’d LOVE to see Mr. Freeze in the sequel! There’s so much potential there with the emotional turmoil of Freeze that I’d love to see how Reeves would tackle it. Also I feel like that the sequel could take place during the winter season, so that would fit for Freeze What was great about The Riddler in the Batman was the redemption of the Riddler from Batman Forever so that would work for a redemption of Mr. Freeze from Batman and Robin
The novel Batman: War on Crime is an excellent depiction of Batman and truly shows the hope symbol Batman is and I think that the second film should adapt it as a b-plot
I personally would have added Robin, especially since we haven't seen him since the Batsuit had nipples. Maybe the plot could be vaguely similar to Batman Forever, but obviously taken much MUCH more seriously.
Matt Reeves is like the new Peter Jackson. Makes a trilogy of masterpieces, then out of nowhere makes another surprise masterpiece years later. Also, if these movies have to have the funny society clown, then make him the final villain. Build him up slowly, and then the final film will be the climatic battle between Batman and the Joker. I think that could work.
Paul Dano and Matt Reeves did an incredible job with a character that kind of had a stereotypical rep of being a bit wacky, and turning them into something completely grounded and terrifying. I think The Court of Owls is something that's just going to be unavoidable with the themes set up in the first movie if it does turn into a full-on franchise, however Reeves expressing interest in Freeze recently has really really excited me. I'd love to see his take on a character that I hold so closely to heart and I think Reeves could do incredible work with it in a sequel.
My big fear about adding Robin, is they made it a conscious effort to make Batman younger - so can he handle raising a kid? Idk And I would love different subtitles for part 2. Silence or Heart of The Batman would be wonderful
Here’s my pitch for The Batman 2 The title would be Batman Duo The opening scene would have Batman saving some people from Killer Croc, establishing how the criminals of Gotham are changing since Falcone and the Riddler incident. The mobster are losing their place in Gotham while the “freaks” (the weird insane villains) are rising to power. Much like in the previous movie, the plot would be a detective noir story, with Batman trying to find a mysterious killer who targets street girls, causing him to gain the nickname Gotham’s Ripper (reference to Jack the Ripper). Meanwhile, there would be a sub plot about Batman dealing with a new crime boss who is trying to take over Penguin territory and become Gotham’s new crime boss. In one of this attempts his gang would cause the death of the Flying Grayson, resulting in Bruce adopting their son Dick Grayson and, as the two bond and become friends, he decides to train the kid, turning him into his partner Robin. Batman's decision to accept Dick Grayson as his sidekick would cause some drama between him and Alfred, who would belive that in insanity to allow a 16/17 old boy to get involved in a dangerous life. This would be the dillema for Batman in the movie, with him question if he's doing the right thing by allowing Dick Grayson to become Robin, dealing with his insecurites and fears that he might not be the ideal father figure to Dick, afraid to be a bad influence for the kid just like he was for the Riddler and his men. This is where movie would introduce Leslie Thompkins, a friend of Bruce's parents and she reveals to Bruce that his father also went through similar situations, helping the hero realize that he can be a good father/mentor for Dick and allow the boy to become not just hero like him but a better one. After some investigation, Batman and Robin would find out a connection between this new crime boss and the Gotham’s Ripper, deducting their identities: The Mad Hatter and the Ventriloquist & Scarface, The two villains were actually working together, with Mad Hatter creating new drug for the Ventriloquist and, as payment for the product, the crime boss gives the girls so the Hatter can control them, wanting to turn the girls into his Alice, his girlfriend who died during the battle between Batman and Riddler in the end of the last movie (If one the girls refuse to act as his Alice, Mad Hatter freaks out and kills her, feeling regret for doing it then ask the Ventriloquist to find another victim). In the end, the dynamic duo defeats the two villains (or three if we count Ventriloquist and Scarface as two characters) and they are send to Arkham, where they would meet the Joker and other inmates. The movie ends with the revelation that, without the villains knowing, they are all being watch by a mysterious man in the shadows.
@@michaellucejr.6374 Yeah, and, to finish the trilogy I think Hugo Strange should be the main villain in the third movie, with Batman dealing with a villain who is obsess with him, is cunning manipulator, knows the hero's identity and the people who Batman cares for the most (Robin, Selina, Alfred, Gordon).
@@alexandrefrauches132 Yeah I mean if they don’t want to do the court of owls then maybe they can make Hugo strange sort of manipulator can I like how the Riddler was in the first film but make him sort of like a new kind of big boss for the city of Gotham
So my idea for not the second but third movie is that they should take some inspiration from Arkham asylum (since we know that Matt is also looking at videogames) I think it be cool if it starts off with a more established Batman taking a villian into the asylum and having joke man riddloboyo17 and who ever the villian from the second movie working together to fuck with Batman in the asylum
Riddloboyo17 😂😂. I think this idea could work if it's someone like Killer Croc that he takes in after catching him or a locking up a villain that appears in the Arkham Asylum show (which should come out before The Batman 2).
I thought something similar, however, instead of going with Joker, I think the third movie could have Hugo Strange as the main villain, since not only he could work at Arkham and manipulate the villains against Batman, but he is one the few enemies who knows Batman's secret identity in comics, making him perfect to make Bruce deal with the consequence of allowing himself to come to the light and be close to others like Gordon, Selina or even Robin (who I belive will be introduce in the 2nd movie).
I agree. Imagine a movie imagined by a serious house on serious Earth where Joker or maybe Hugo Strange releases some of Batmans most depraved villains like Pyg or Zsasz to fuck with Batman and push him emotionally. Shit would really fit that horror vibe
@@AveChristusRex789 Betweem the two, I think would make more sense for Hugo Strange to do this since he could be one doctors at Arkham, and have study the inmates well enough to be able to manipulate them. No one would ever work for the Joker knowing how unpredictable he really us (plus Joker would never let any other criminal take away his "right" to kill Batman)
They definitely shouldn't go along the lines of "gotta wait x hours before we can consider them a missing person," especially when it's kids, because a) that isn't how it actually works, that's just a movie/tv thing (that should die) and b) it'd be astoundingly stupid to respond to missing persons reports by waiting for x hours to pass. Cops get on that shit immediate (in theory) irl, so they should do the same in a movie or tv. It doesn't actually change the plot at all. Need them missing for 48 hours before batman gets involved? Fine, they look for 48 hours on their own, figuring there's so many missing persons they can't get batman for every single one. Then, after 48 hours, they call him. Or else you could just skip the 48 hours and say "hey, bats, kids missing, go look" and do the exact same story you were going to do without mentioning they sat on they asses for two days twiddling they thumbs hoping he'd just turn up before they can go and try to find the child who is missing and whose family wants to have back very badly. This isn't a complaint specifically about your pitch, it's about this cliched trope that is so profoundly stupid and unnecessary. Why is Bruce leaving a kid who was only just minutes of screen time ago rescued from a hostage situation alone outside a fresh crime scene directly related to the kid's disappearance with surrounded by suspicious circumstances? Bad idea. Just have him cover the kid's eyes and walk him into the house. The hypnosis and heightened fighting abilities from said hypnosis is kinda whack. I like that there's a different Hush background though, so I'll vibe with it. For a movie mostly grounded in reality, a grenade doing that much damage is weird. Just put a bigger explosive there, like TNT. The Court of Owls is an excellent villain, but I don't know that it is the right pick to introduce just yet. Maybe in another movie, but we just had batman taking down the rich elites running the city through corruption and secret guile. More of the same would likely lead to stagnation in the franchise. Introduce them in the third or fourth movie (assuming a fourth exists).
The Batman movie should have scarecrow in the next movie, not just some guy with fear toxin. I think he should be way more terrifying like he’s a master manipulator. On top of that add clayface who can help scarecrow farther his plan by stealing peoples identities and mimicking their movements.
Oh boyo troyo cant wait for this. A Batman 2 could also be really good if executed well. By sequel standards it should expand upon the first movie. So I'm very eager to see what troyoboyo has for his prewrite!! Edit: This was amazing, beautiful, heartfelt, and mindblowing. Amazing job troyoboyo! The line delivery you had for the really sad scenes made me so emotional. But I just loved that batman is a symbol of hope. Especially the end of act 3. God, that was so awesome! And of course all of the usual stuff you do with the prewrites, like the paper cut outs, making some good jokes (like the bat boat lmaoo), and the 2d drawings for the 1st act. Oh and I just wanna say it's an honor being apart of the video, even though it was just me calling you the riddler at 10:15 👍👌
I really feel like a vigilante ally for Bruce should be interdouced next movie but maybe not Robin. Next movie looks to be adapting No Man's Land after all so why not throw Cassandra Cain into the mix
I love Cass and I think it would be really cool to bring her in. I just really love Robin and feel like it's about time we get that relationship done right (not Titans) onscreen
@troyoboyo17 Oh don't get me wrong, Dick Grayson is one of my favourite fictional characters. But I just feel like we're in the perfect set-up for Cass
They could introduce both, with Robin and Cassandra having their own arcs and Batman playing a role in both of them, finding new purpose to not only protect Gotham but also be a mentor for this young people who loss their families like him.
@@troyoboyo17 I want Jason Todd in number two who would then “die” at the end and we get a red hood (my favorite hero) in the third if this is what u said sorry I haven’t finished the video yet
Honestly, I think this is the perfect time for a mr freeze story, with the flooded Gotham there’s no better time with water and ice being associated with each other
Personally I would love it if they are to make this a trilogy of movies that they make Gotham go through an "Anakin" arc where as the trilogy progresses slowly the city deteroates from a hell hold filled with criminals and organized crime to a hell scape terrorized by freaks and supernatural beings
I hope Hush is the villain in the sequel. They perfectly set him up wanting revenge on Bruce because of Thomas putting a hit on Hush’s dad. I feel like after the ending of The Batman he could be more public doing charity events leading him going to Harleys Circus watching Dicks parents die while reminding him of his childhood. I feel like the personal elements with Hush and him adopting Robin will put a huge strain on Batman and could be a very interesting story.
As much as I love the Court of Owls, I think there's two really good options for a Batman 3 villain (especially if it's just a trilogy), both of which would hinge on setup in the second movie. The Court of the Owls as this mysterious force that could really play into the detective angles and whatnot, and could certainly be a overarching villain. But I also can't help but think of a villain perfect for Batman on a very personal level, a mirror to how angry and vengeance driven Batman was initially, the Red Hood.
I like the idea for a new suit but I kinda wanna keep the suit that we currently have for a bit, maybe they can introduce a new suit in a possible third movie
Rewatching this video for what must be the 20th time, I‘ve been thinking recently about what other reporters might be targeted by Hush. Scoop Scanlon could be one, and I really like the idea of having Vicki Vale working alongside Batman in this movie. She could be a coworker of the first one to die and get involved in the case, probably surviving at the end. I think it could be hard to get Selina into this sequel naturally, but Vicki could be a placeholder until Selina came back in a third movie
10:53 Matt Reeves said he doesn't know if the Joker will come back "in the movies". It was just for world-building, to show he exists. Also, I can't imagine it was studio mandated. Matt Reeves said he signed a contract to make sure he had full creative control. He won't be in the sequel, I promise.
Title: Fear of the Batman Opening: We open on a family of performers getting ready for a circus show. Act 1: Batman is rebuilding the city after the flood and gets interviewed by the news. His interview is interrupted by Gordon who calls him to watch over the Graysons who are reportedly targeted by Jonathan Crane played by Johnny Depp. We cut to the Graysons performing when a gas bomb blows up and things go wrong. Dick Grayson’s father murders his wife in front of Dick then kills himself. Bruce arrives at the scene, but it’s too late, Dick is on the ground bawling his eyes out. Bruce takes Dick on a ride in the Batmobile and goes to Arkham Asylum to interrogate the Riddler. “Did you do this?” “Do what?” “You know, kill this kid’s parents!” The Riddler laughs. “Looks like you two have a lot in common.” “Tell me! Did you kill them?” “No! Of course not. But there is someone who might have.” “Who?” “Jonathan Crane.” “Jonathan Crane?” “Yes, he’s a doctor who uses this gas to set fear into people.” Dick asks “Gas? What color?” “Green” “Oh no, that’s him, that’s why my dad killed my mom.” Bruce asks “Okay, who can help us?” “Dr. Hugo Strange” Act 2: Bruce and Dick drive to Hugo Strange’s house to ask him for help. “Batman?! Get out of my house!” “We need help about Jonathan Crane.” “Crane? I know some stuff about him, but no. I’m not getting involved.” “Please, your help can save hundreds of lives.” “Okay, follow me.” They go back to Arkham and sneak around asking everyone about Crane. Hugo Strange goes to Crane’s office with nothing but a scalpel to protect himself. They fight, but Crane throws a bomb at him and Strange runs around the asylum. Bruce sends Dick to try and save Hugo while he chases Crane. Bruce inhales the gas and sees bats across the city. Jonathan Crane disappears into thin air and Bruce runs over to Hugo who is seizing. Bruce and Dick rush him back to the Batcave and Alfred tries to save Hugo’s life. Hugo wakes up and explodes the Batcave. Act 3: Bruce saves everyone in the Batcave, but one of them is missing, Hugo. The Batsuit and Batmobile are also nowhere to be seen. Hugo in the Batsuit visits with Crane. “You ready?” “Yes! It’s time for Gotham’s reckoning.” Hugo shows up at city hall with a speech to trick all of Gotham. Selina and Bruce team up. Dick gets a suit and steps into battle. Bruce drives up to Crane to see him about to run away. Bruce without his suit runs over and fights against Crane in an epic battle. Crane, almost dying, tells Hugo to abandon the mission as Crane and Bruce continue to fight. Selina holds Strange at gunpoint and shoots him. Bruce rushes Crane to Arkham and reveals himself to Selina. Credits: Joker sees Barbra Gordon and smiles while staring at her.
I kinda doubt they'll actually do a Hush adaptation seeing as the first one was already inspired from the Hush story in a few ways. Realistically the villain is gonna be Crazy Quilt with Clock King and The Eraser as secondary villains. But the studios really gonna push for Penny Plunderer because they're so popular so I expect him in maybe an end credit scene. Personally, I hope they do Getaway Genius or maybe Mister Camera, but I don't think the mainstream audience is ready for that yet.
Seeing Hush right at the start has got me excited. Haven't finished the whole video, but the world Reeves presented seems like it's built for a Hush and Court of Owls story
silence of the batman laugh of the batman (joker) heart of the baman (mr freeze) nightmare of the batman(scarecrow and man-bat) secret of the batman(court of owls)
We need Robin. Robin is important. You want audiences to see something we haven't seen in a batman movie before? Show batman as a father. Make a serious drama about him learning to be a good dad. Use "Robin's reckoning" as a template.
Clayface is cool but I don’t think it would fit the realistic aspect of Matt Reeves Batman unless they just stay faithful to the villain and his supernatural abilities.
Thank you! I thought I was the only one who hated the Joker cameo. Tbh there a few things iffy I would change about the rewrite. First, you can have Killer Croc, but I would make him more of a deformed human before he mutates into a monster: just some scales here and there with slight hints of reptilian features. At first, I wasn’t a fan of you including him here, but he is often used as an enforcer, so it makes sense someone would hire him. Second, the third act gets a bit packed. We already have Hush, and now we’re introducing a whole syndicate of villains, for supposedly the next film? Also, it makes the twist of “what’s really happening with the hypnosis” thing kinda anti-climatic. Other than that, keep up the good work!
you know, ending with a court of owls set up and flying Graysons would work so well in a third since Dick was meant to be a talon it would be cool if we could see bruce save a boy from becoming a talon.
So far I like everything in this fan write, except the “colored suit”….please god no blue or flashy yellow. If anything I’ll be fine with the iconic gray and black with the dark slightly gold utility belt. Also keep the next film a noir detective movie at heart.
I don't care about the blue so much but I think adding some yellow (like outlining the symbol) would help to distinguish Bruce's new outlook on himself and as Batman. Also I need purple gloves.
@@troyoboyo17 I agree, I feel like the artist should try and maintain that rugged Bat suit look, but with slight improvements. Im gonna assume the next movie is gonna be a year after the first riddler events, year 3 still is Batman is still super early in his career. And we still need to see Harvey Dent at some point.
I love the blue personally, and I know that it’s not great for a lot of people, but we haven’t had a live action blue bat suit in over half a century. I don’t think a BRIGHT blue suit would work for this universe, but navy blue would be nice.
Maybe Batman could swoop down on the court of Owls, make them afraid of him, give them that speech in gotham knights (yes I know that game sucks) about the rich wanting more, politicians catering to their demands and the police hurting the people they're supposed to protect, as he takes each and every member down and when the leader tries to escape, Batman grabs him or her, pulls him/her in terrified and says I AM VENGEANCE, I AM THE KNIGHT I AM BATMAN!
Bro when riddler started screaming when Batman was interrogating him, I laughed my ass off. Also that scene when penguin gets rammed by the Batmobile , and Batman just looks under the door that was funny as hell.
Great video, My problem with this is that "Crazy masked serial killer is killing important people and unveiling who's really in control of Gotham City" is already exactly what happened in the first movie, specially bc the look of the RIddler is so visually similar to Hush (mask that shows only the eyes, big coat). Also i'm not a big fan of the idea of Batman using torture to interrogate people like he's CIA or some shit, even if he's angry at the moment in the story, feel's specially out of characther for this version of the batman.
This might be a weird comment but, I really like the way Troy pronounced certain words when he’s telling his story. As someone who likes to do public speaking, I respect the way he says certain words to get the audience intrigued into the story
i honestly think if crock gets added to a universe like this especially so soon the first few time batman fights him it should end with batman only being able to do all he can to escape and with each new encounter with crock he is able to better ever so slightly
I really just feel like a Hush story would be too similar to how Riddler was handled in the first one. I would really like to see Scarecrow used in the sequel. In the first movie Batman said he uses fear as a tool, so it would be interesting to see fear used against him as a weapon
I know this is a 2 year old video and I am just a random Aussie that only recently found your channel and is feeding it into my veins like bane does venom but I need y’all to make a video about the penguin TV series yesterday. Also it’s especially wild seeing these older videos now before Matt Reeves and co made the weird decisions that make the world of his Batman less comic booky (I will always hate the name Oz Cobb instead of Ozwald cobblepot) I hope that we do get some of the things you’ve pitched before in sequels to the Batman.
Please someone send this vid to Matt. We need the COURT OF OWLS in the batman Universe with a couple of villains like Croc, Mr Freeze, Clayface, Hush; i just wanna see battinson lose his mind
All the scenes with killer croc you said I'd prefer to be with Mr freeze. I think the Arkham asylum series can tease villains like two face, joker, bane, firefly and poison ivy. In the batman 2 mr freeze or the Hush will free all the villains and have batman vs his own rogues gallery scene!
I was low-key expected that too I also want Mad Hatter to be a potential villain too. Like, have him be a Music Man-esque figure who tries to get people into his hypnotism machines as a way for people to feel better after the major disaster in Gotham. Think of it like the Matrix.
So I’m like a year late but I think it would be really cool if the kid we saw in the clown gang in the first movie was Dick, the kid who half his face had makeup. I think it’d be cool if we saw him a bit more in the future films then him being Dick Grayson would be a big reveal. Maybe after his parents were assassinated he was homeless and alone till that clown gang took him in and that’s why he feels obligated to take part in their crimes.
One of the funniest complaints I heard for The Batman was that Riddlet was singing opera and laughing in the Arkham scene, and while I was reading that all I could think was, "He's in a insane asylum..."
I love the idea of this current iteration of live action Batman having more emphasis on the detective aspect. Whether or not that actually happens with Hush and/or The Court of Owls, I hope it happens regardless
I guess my only problem...it's not really a problem, but still...is Hush. And no, it's not because of your changes to Hush, I'm fully on board with changing stuff if it works. Your version is really good, and I'd love to see it. But, at least to me, The Batman left open ended Edward Elliot's son for a reason, and it's not to tease future Hush. AKA, given how...well, kind of Hushy the Riddler is in the film, I feel like it makes sense that Edward Nash is the reporter's son, that Matt Reeves merged Hush and Riddler for this movie. Again, Riddler is already decently Hushy in the film, and him being the reporter's son, it gives him yet another layer of viscerally personal motivation to do what he does. Not only did he grow up in a shitty orphanage and all the horrible things he said in the movie, but it was directly the actions of the powerful that lead to him becoming an orphan, and his utter hatred of Bruce Wayne becomes way more powerful because of this. "They would have said something in the movie", maybe, but it is left open ended. Sure, that dead reporter could be teasing future Hush, but it could also be a clue on who Edward Nash actually is, the last riddle that Batman didn't get to solve because it didn't cross his mind due of the Riddler's last name. It's Nash. But, given that, if Riddler is the reporter's son, it was his father who died and it left him as an orphan, maybe his mother was already dead and his dad put him her last name because of that. I know it kinda falls on Matpat territory, this IS a Film Theory, but I feel like everything ties up more neatly if it's true and makes the Riddler have an even stronger motivation to do what he does. So Tommy Elliot existing would disprove this. Again, I love your version, and I know my thoughts are just a theory that has probably already been debunked or something, but still.
I really want a grounded Mr. Freeze story. Maybe he doesn't have a freeze gun but crushable canisters that dispense fog clouds that will cool the area to sub zero temperatures. His wife contracted a disease so he froze her to keep her alive, but he accidentally caught some of it himself. So he keeps himself really cold, but not cold enough for him to not be able to move, but so that the disease is slowed. This Mr. Freeze is not at all a physically imposing villain but his mind would be his most important weapon. Maybe the lab that he works at doesn't have the chemicals he needs so goes around stealing chemicals needed for cryogenics. In the process he kills people by freezing them to death.
I like to think that for this universe, maybe Killer Croc was a large muscle bound fighter who wore crocodile clothes, but there was an explosion, and the clothes grafted onto his skin, and as such he has the texture of crocodiles, making it a bit more realistic.
IMO the court of owls needs to be something that Batman discovers late in his career, it works best when Bruce thinks he knows everything about Gotham, Dick Grayson is now nightwing, he's lost Jason Todd but then he discovers this secret society which has been orchestrating everything and it shakes him to his core.
The idea of Hush is so good man but I don't know if you know the fact that in the batman the riddler is a mix of hush and himself so I don't think Matt Reeves will put Hush in a future projects...maybe I wrong..
I'd love to hear your pitch for your sequel to your pitch of your sequel to The Batman. A Court of Owls story would be so sick, and I'd love to hear your take. Masterfully done, tying it all back to the rat with wings. Just outstanding. Thank you for this.
How dare you Edward Nastion just say Kite man's name in one second kite man is literally one of the best dc villains because he's essentially spider-man but not a hero, he's a guy that lost a member of his family and he could have avoided that
Has anyone ever noticed that Troy kinda looks like the Riddler?
I thought you were him
you mean it wasn't him?!
What do you mean? I thought it was him the whole time?
Wait what
Heart Of The Batman sounds like a good title for a Mr Freeze centric movie, same goes for Night Of The Batman for Man Bat.
The idea that the iconic gothic art deco blimps are adapted as the richest elite escaping the city, and at the end of the movie it’s revealed that it’s the court of owls who’re up there in the blimps is genius 🤯
If you need an alternate title for ‘Silence of The Batman’ I recommend ‘The Batman Shuts the Fuck Up.’
I love this pitch, Troy! I’d love to see Killer Croc make an appearance as a minor villain.
i was just thinking that, like what if killer croc jumps batman in a scene where batman is chasing the main villain in a sewer, and ends up having to run for his life from killer croc
Now that I’ve seen the name silence of the Batman in writing again all I can think of is “have the batmen stopped crying Clarice?”
The Batman is easily my favorite live action Batman film. That being said, I really, really hope they don’t shy away from the comic booky stuff in the sequels. The Nolan movies really burned me out on the idea of “what if Batman existed in the real world?”
I want Poison Ivy to have plant powers, I want Clayface to be a man made of clay.
Completely agree. I think showing the world grow into that crazy stuff would he really interesting.
The Arkham and Telltale stories are my favorite
Completely agreed. I want to see all of that as well.
I hope they ll include him in the two next installements, I love Dano's riddler so much !!
*AAUU VEE MAUREEEE YA AUUHHH EUAEOUEAAHH*
Its great how characters can do that for us
Given how toxic comic book fans are, I am always glad to see someone found something positive in these books. That's what we're supposed to draw from them
That's awesome to hear. Just know you're not alone in this.
@@LuffyBlack fr most comic book fans are horrible.
For me it was spiderman that helped me go through school bullying
I Like the story, like the introduction of court of owls, problem was the third act gets a lil messy and I think we’re for sure getting more joker in the next movie dc is gonna push it
Yeah third acts aren't really my strong suit lol
I think I heard Matt Reeves confirmed Joker won’t be main villain
According to Matt Reeves the point of having Joker and Riddler becoming “friends” was to provide proof to Selina’s words “Gotham is not gonna change.”
Reeves also said he doesn’t know if Joker will be in the next movie.
I think Robin can be set up but not appear in this movie.
Idgaf what anyone says the Batman is the best Batman movie to ever exist on this planet
Venom 2018 >>>>>>> but The Batman is up there
Oh yeah most definitely
PLEASE DO A PITCH FOR TASM3!!!!!
Yes
What about lego Batman 🤨
The court of owls should be the villains for the last batman movie
I personally like it, the prospect of someone like Hush being completely under the control of the Court is subverting and frightening. It makes it feel like Batman is going up against a foe completely untouchable to him. Everywhere and nowhere.
@@sirwannabeguy4886 But you can see what I'm saying though, in terms of diminishing the idea of Hush? Maybe? Possibly? Lol
I like your idea of Hush, but a Clayface works even better for the angle that you're tackling. Love the video, by the way.
He's a better angle for 2 reasons;
1) His occupation as an actor could work to set up a 'performative activism' that could work really well, in contrast to Bruce's arc and development.
I honestly don’t like the idea of Robin being a 13 year old vigilante, I think even in the more fantastical Batman universes that it’s ridiculous
@@IcyDiamond Batman is a billionaire, crimefighter dressed like a bat who also happens to be the smartest man alive and was trained by ninjas and lives in a cave with his butler. Actually bro the new battinson suit is actually blue and grey. There’s some promo photo stills out there on Instagram where u can actually see the colors. When I first saw it I was like woah his cowl, cape and collar are blue and his plates are grey.
It’s a really dark blue which looks black in the lighting of the movie
6:50 This reminds me of my current favorite moment from any Superhero story ever.
My Hero Academia, season 4, episode... 12? (Might be 11, might be 13, you lose track of these when you binge.)
The hero just took off his cape and used it as a decoy to sneak away. The villain says "Huh. And I always thought heroes just wore capes because they look cool."
But then, we see that he'd actually taken it off as a blanket for a little girl, saying "the reason heroes wear capes, is so they can comfort someone in need." And as soon as I heard that, I was just like "YES. EXACTLY THIS."
I think it was really funny when that cop said "the whole system would have to change" and then later in the movie there's that scene with the cops busting Falcone and Gordon says "I guess we're not all bad". I wonder if it was the writers or studio that got cold feet.
Literally my only issue with the movie like what was that
@@troyoboyo17 That was "the few cops" too scared to speak up or take an action, finally taking an action as batman started working with them on cases... and they also found strength in "Gordon" and "Batman" to do the right thing.
Not the Freeze, imagine Scarecrow as a proper Villain and Part 2 being a Horror movie.
I don’t want the Court of Owls since Falcone’s crime operation is just like the point of the Court being secert
Also I feel like that the sequel could take place during the winter season, so that would fit for Freeze
What was great about The Riddler in the Batman was the redemption of the Riddler from Batman Forever so that would work for a redemption of Mr. Freeze from Batman and Robin
YES I agree
yea since Gotham’s been flooded it would be interesting to see how it would look when all the water freezes over in the winter
Technically Matt Reeves only did the second and third apes films, not the whole trilogy, but i get your point
Idk
And I would love different subtitles for part 2.
Silence or Heart of The Batman would be wonderful
Here’s my pitch for The Batman 2
The title would be Batman Duo
The opening scene would have Batman saving some people from Killer Croc, establishing how the criminals of Gotham are changing since Falcone and the Riddler incident.
The Mad Hatter plus Scarface and The Ventriloquist as well Robin into the mix sounds like a good idea for the sequel.
Cool idea :)
@@IcyDiamond thanks
I think a version of the rebirth suit would fit really well into this universe with the brighter yellows and purples in the suit
Ngl, kind of lost me on the first scene. Hush is great and all, but jumping straight into him after the Riddler feels like way too much of a repeat.
The Batman movie should have scarecrow in the next movie, not just some guy with fear toxin. I think he should be way more terrifying like he’s a master manipulator. On top of that add clayface who can help scarecrow farther his plan by stealing peoples identities and mimicking their movements.
I like The Batman trilogy being about Batman fighting various orphans 😭
Oh and I just wanna say it's an honor being apart of the video, even though it was just me calling you the riddler at 10:15 👍👌
Yoooo Spider sam!
@@Jadewhitelego Yooo wassup! 👋
REWRITE TOBEY MAGUIRE SPIDERMAN 4 AND ANDREW GARFIELD SPIDERMAN 3
I really feel like a vigilante ally for Bruce should be interdouced next movie but maybe not Robin. Next movie looks to be adapting No Man's Land after all so why not throw Cassandra Cain into the mix
I love Cass and I think it would be really cool to bring her in. I just really love Robin and feel like it's about time we get that relationship done right (not Titans) onscreen
@troyoboyo17 Oh don't get me wrong, Dick Grayson is one of my favourite fictional characters. But I just feel like we're in the perfect set-up for Cass
@@spider-nerd The fact we haven't gotten a good Robin in 27 years is kinda sad. (Batman Forever is dope and nothing will change my mind)
I would totally watch Riddler if he were on UA-cam, probably for the same reason I watch the really fucked up corner of TLC but still.
He has one
Creeper is dead
Way before he could become whacky naked yellow man
I'm very sad
Honestly, I think this is the perfect time for a mr freeze story, with the flooded Gotham there’s no better time with water and ice being associated with each other
Personally I would love it if they are to make this a trilogy of movies that they make Gotham go through an "Anakin" arc where as the trilogy progresses slowly the city deteroates from a hell hold filled with criminals and organized crime to a hell scape terrorized by freaks and supernatural beings
personally feel like scarecrow would be a perfect villain for this version of batman, especially as it potrays arkham vibes
I love your pre written videos man. I get a coffee and just get productive while listening.
Warner Bros’ confirmed:
The Batman is getting a sequel and is rumoured to already be in the works. Hopefully it will be in cinemas 2-3 years from now
Rewatching this video for what must be the 20th time, I‘ve been thinking recently about what other reporters might be targeted by Hush.
Honestly from interviews it’s implied that Matt Reeves wanted to keep that Joker scene in yet WB cut it
@@IcyDiamond Can you tell me any specific interviews?
@@omegavsrassilon5128 ua-cam.com/video/-Blx1KgimDk/v-deo.html
@@IcyDiamond Oh I've seen that interview. I didn't feel anything weird, although maybe I'm wrong.
Title: Fear of the Batman
Opening: We open on a family of performers getting ready for a circus show.
Hugo Strange”
Act 2: Bruce and Dick drive to Hugo Strange’s house to ask him for help.
Bro, that last scene with the Riddler gave me chills, this is such a cool idea
I kinda doubt they'll actually do a Hush adaptation seeing as the first one was already inspired from the Hush story in a few ways. Realistically the villain is gonna be Crazy Quilt with Clock King and The Eraser as secondary villains. But the studios really gonna push for Penny Plunderer because they're so popular so I expect him in maybe an end credit scene. Personally, I hope they do Getaway Genius or maybe Mister Camera, but I don't think the mainstream audience is ready for that yet.
Seeing Hush right at the start has got me excited. Haven't finished the whole video, but the world Reeves presented seems like it's built for a Hush and Court of Owls story
silence of the batman
laugh of the batman (joker)
heart of the baman (mr freeze)
nightmare of the batman(scarecrow and man-bat)
secret of the batman(court of owls)
I got literal chills when you reveal the court of owls rhyme! I'm so excited for what Reeves will obviously do with the Court of Owls! Great pitch
That guitar cover of the batman theme is absolute god tier
I think a sequel with Mr. Freeze and Robin could be cool tbh
We need Robin. Robin is important. You want audiences to see something we haven't seen in a batman movie before? Show batman as a father. Make a serious drama about him learning to be a good dad. Use "Robin's reckoning" as a template.
I really wanted to pitch a Mr. Freeze movie but these videos are inherently reviews of the previous movie so I wanted to stick with a similar tone
@@troyoboyo17 Fair, Hush definitely fits more into the Matt Reeves universe than Mr. Freeze does, though I do have some ideas on how to ground him
@@IcyDiamond I would like to hear it
@@galactic85 Or the Mandalorian, with Robin as Batman's baby yoda
My top 3 are Mr. Freeze, Clayface, and Deathstroke. I think Hush will be too samey. As much as I’d love to see him.
"Kiteman! HELL YEAH!"- kiteman in this video
I’m hoping for one small thing. Batman must eat nachos while brooding.
Hate to burst your bubble, but Batman did actually get buried with his parents in a justice league movie
you know, ending with a court of owls set up and flying Graysons would work so well in a third since Dick was meant to be a talon it would be cool if we could see bruce save a boy from becoming a talon.
Ey thanks for catching that I haven’t seen anybody talk about that yet but that was totally what was going through my mind
I think it'd be cool if in the ballroom scene we saw Killer Croc again, in a trenchcoat-sunglasses disguise
One cool concept i thought of was Every movie in the trilogy has a new nirvana song, there are a shit ton of badass Griffy songs they have
So far I like everything in this fan write, except the “colored suit”….please god no blue or flashy yellow.
@@troyoboyo17 OR make the removable batarang on the chest plate gold- that would totally work
@@ouchcomma this is a fire idea
Great video,
My problem with this is that "Crazy masked serial killer is killing important people and unveiling who's really in control of Gotham City" is already exactly what happened in the first movie, specially bc the look of the RIddler is so visually similar to Hush (mask that shows only the eyes, big coat).
Also i'm not a big fan of the idea of Batman using torture to interrogate people like he's CIA or some shit, even if he's angry at the moment in the story, feel's specially out of characther for this version of the batman.
Also Silence of The Batman is a great fucking title
I think it would be cool to name the sequel after one of Batman’s other nicknames like The Caped Crusader or World’s Greatest Detective
Please someone send this vid to Matt. We need the COURT OF OWLS in the batman Universe with a couple of villains like Croc, Mr Freeze, Clayface, Hush; i just wanna see battinson lose his mind
This is brilliant, no words can stress that enough, you can very clearly see what would make an amazing batman film. Amazing.
When you talked about hypnotism i was wondering if the villain would be the mad hatter
I was low-key expected that too
I also want Mad Hatter to be a potential villain too.
Hush would be cool because I would love to see Pattinson play a villan
I wanna see my boy all scarred up and gross it'd be so fun 😇
I very much agree about Batman: Hush.
Heart of Hush is so much better Jeph Loeb forgot how to make a mystery.
How about Whispers of The Batman. It keeps the “hush, hush” theme
Interresting take on the sequel btw i liked your performance as the Riddle
I’m not the biggest fan of this pre-write but you have some good ideas, good job
In the process he kills people by freezing them to death.
kItEmAn hElL yEaH is hands down the funniest thing I have heard in a long time...
I was really wanting poison ivy and scarecrow for a sequel, but after this, Matt reeves better be taking notes!
Your movie pitches are great! You should find an illustrator and make some of your own comics. They’d be fire
I get why you chose Hush but I also felt like Reeves' Riddler had a little Hush in him and I worry in practice it might seem a little redundant.
How dare you Edward Nastion just say Kite man's name in one second kite man is literally one of the best dc villains because he's essentially spider-man but not a hero, he's a guy that lost a member of his family and he could have avoided that
Kite Man is too powerful to be a main villain in the Reeves universe, it wouldn't be realistic for Batman to be able to win
@@troyoboyo17 Kite man is to op. He's a justice league level threat
I think starting with croc is a bit much, the previous film established that its more realistic than other batman films.
