We Fixed up an ABANDONED 1990's Burger King !

- Today we visit a location I have previous documented, one that is undoubtably one of the most retro abandoned locations I've visited. Although, it is was very nostalgic, the Burger King was heavily vandalized. Thrown chairs, tables as well as racist graffiti are things @UrbexAndChill and I will be cleaning up today. Restoring this abandoned fast food chain back to its former glory !

Im glad everyone is enjoying the cleanup video, i loved this place so much, it was just a shame to see so ravaged by vandals! I just needed to see it how it might look like, bringing back all the nostalgia!

This was awesome and a new concept in videos. Keep this up and even go farther by sweeping the floor and wiping off the tables. It will take a little longer but noone else is doing this. You may be on to something.

I agree. I hate watching some of the explorers walk on top of people's photos and personal belongings. One other explorer I've seen clean up as best as possible abandoned places. Why can't the honest and loyal explorers do this. Make it part of the exploration process when feasible.

Every time a business closes and the building is deserted, that's when the A-hole vandalist come out. "Hey, another building to vandalize! We're a bunch of A-holes with no life, let's go destroy it!"
Exactly! People if you want to call them that are not contributing to society but are out there destroying everything. There goes civilization.

I've never understood why some people feel the need to destroy property. Even abandoned property. And why don't the owners remove the furniture and usable items. It was so nice to see you doing something positive for these left behind relics.
I think they don't remove forniture and usable items because maybe they want to buy more modern stuff and it is easier just to leave behind than carry old items.

This is really cool. Perhaps a great idea would be to bring a box of trash bags and a broom. sweep up all the broken glass, dust dirt, etc off the floors and tables too.

In your previous video, I could tell you thought this was a special place. We all have fond memories of fast food restaurants we went to when we were young. I'm glad that you straightened the place up. This Burger King and other abandoned buildings do not deserve to be vandalized.
I actually really like this idea, respecting what once was. Really hope kids dont trash it again, what kick do they get out of trashing and graffiting the place? Respect to you man for cleaning and doing what you can with the place
Probably young kids from the 2000's that never knew and don't respect the awesomeness of the 80's and 90's fast food restaurant.

I really like the idea of leaving abandoned places better off than people find them, rather than the opposite.
Love the heart and soul of what your intent is. It ends up falling a little flat on this location. It'd be awesome to find an unused abandoned building in your community and try to think of what the place could be, organize an effort with the city or organization to turn it into a community center, shelter or something similar. Being so focused on abandoned places and having a strong desire to not see them become as bad as they end up seems like perfect fuel for you to make a difference. Documenting and sharing that could really help others be inspired to do similar things.
Unfortunately, like they say you can never go back, it's not the same...

THIS BURGER KING OPENED IN THE BEGINNING 80S ITWAS A GREAT PLACE TO WORK ,PEOPLE LOVED COMING HERE TO EAT AND MOST OF THE GLASSEDROOM OR SUN ROOM WAS SUCH A GREAT TIME FOR BIRTHDAY PARTYS .. OR YOUNG KIDS AND ADULTS FAMILYS ENJOYING THEM SELF.. THIS BURGER KING WAS ONE OF THE SMALLER ONES AND IT NEEDED TO BE UP DATED MANY TIMES IN THE KITCHEN OR BATHROOMS PLUMMING ALSO THE DINNING ROOM ,,.. THE COMPANY FELT THIS BUILDING WAS NOT WORTH REPAIRING SO LAYOFFS BEGAN OR TO RELOCATE TO OTHER BURGER KINGS ELSE WHERE..THIS BUILDING WAS UP FOR SALE ,LAND BUT NO BUYERS,,SAD TO SEE IT SIT FOR VANDALS.. After seeing this, I’d love to check out this Burger King for myself and do further cleaning. Clean up the glass on the floor, wipe everything down, and possibly repair some things. It would be awesome if we as urban explorers could get together to completely restore this relic of a building and make it usable again as a restaurant. Excellent work guys.

I Grew up during the 80s and 90's and i have a good memories of eating in those sun rooms at the old Burger King's back in those times. On a sunny day, i would feel that warm sunlight on me while eating a whopper. Felt so good! Great job cleaning that graffiti and setting up those chairs.

There is definitely potential here for a BK franchisee to take over this property and bring BK back to life at this location, but sadly corporate would just force them to remodel it into the boring shoebox design!
