The dog dragged itself to him and then died. The trail of blood shows that real easy to miss but when you notice it makes the whole dog death more meaningful and impact full in my humble opinion. You don't mess with a man's car and dog. Good show bud 👍 👏 👌
Which is why I love that the dog got taken to the red carpet, because they understood how horrific and sad that scene was, so it was a way to tell people, "It's okay, it's fiction, here's our baby!"
It's not that hard to miss. Some people just aren't that imaginative. No one would drag a bleeding/dead dog across the floor to make a blood trail to an unconscious person. I believe they would pick it up by the tail and drop it in front of him. But what would be the point of getting that low to the ground to drag that small dog across the ground just to spread blood around? Only a retard would think that and I have genuinely heard someone say that as a theory.
The guys who put this movie together and made it are also stuntman so I think that's why the action sequences always seem to be so smooth and shot well
Marcus only "agreed" to the contract because it was open and he wanted to protect John. He fired a warning shot when John was in the Continental to warn him of Perkins but couldn't actually shoot her because she was on Continental grounds. He was loyal to the end.
Kevin Nash said that one of the reason's the Francis character lived, was because he gave John Wick the number of people who were waiting for him. Makes sense on a rewatch. The number SIXTY is in big bold orange lettering. Plus, 60 kilograms is equivalent of roughly 132 lbs. Not saying Francis DIDN'T lose that much weight (we don't have a before picture), but I like the whole, "there's sixty guys waiting for you" code speak explanation.
My information stated the actor stated & it should read 27kilos (27 people inside ) but converting it to 60lbs. for Americans screwed all that up. Who knows? 🤷♂️
I second that. I liked it better than the Wick and Bourne movies because it feels more realistic. Another similar to that is Peppermint starring Jennifer Garner. She is an Odenkirk style badass.
Don't people criticize by saying,"You saw this already, blah, blah, blah." You are the one in front of the camera for us to watch. You do what you want to do. My favorite thing is to watch a really cool movie and then share it with a friend who hasn't seen it yet, or even if they have seen it so you can share a vibe together.
One of the best trilogy's ever. Can't wait to see what they do with Chapter 4. Love Denzel but John Wick was way better I remember just being blown away seeing this in theaters I've seen them all in theaters
Point Break, Speed, and Bill & Ted are all pretty good. Crazy to see how thin and lanky he was when he started out in Bill & Ted to how buff he got for his later movies.
You should check out the Honest Trailer for this as well as the Honest Trailer commentary with the directors of John Wick. It’ll give you more appreciation for this series
Daaww, Tinkerbell is so cute! And I gotta agree with you, there's just such huge quality and effort to John Wick it became one of my top 3 action movies. BTW, Speed is a really fun watch
Mell I feel bad I haven't been able to watch your video for sometime due to work but now I can and man Its good to have the reminder of your charismatic personality in this video I'm going to have to stay on top of your videos again
Your Lord of the rings reactions are my favourites so don't even worry about it. Whether it's the first time watching or the hundredth, you're an absolute joy to watch ❤
John's wife also plays on Blue Bloods, and, since she has no real characterization other than loving her husband, I can pretend it's the same character. Her family on Blue Bloods are the police, and she's a prosecutor. It would be John's reason for getting out of the crime world--to be with a lawful woman. Good movie, good series, fun reaction, as usual. When Harry Met Sally reference to your own reaction was just *chef's kiss*.
Francis the bodyguard is played by the pro wrestler, Kevin Nash. Kevin Nash is infamous for being stabbed in REAL LIFE on camera (by accident) by Thomas Jane in the 2004 Punisher. Hard core is hard...:)
I love the idea of you doing a twin movie comparison of "Big Trouble In Little China" and "The Golden Child". And I loved the twin movie comparison you guys did on "John Wick" and "The Equalizer"! So good! I never noticed he similar those movies were in plot!
If you look closely at the paper on the dog kennel at the end you will see the dog was scheduled to be put down so it’s more than just a rescue. Another good pair to compare would be Mark Walhberg in The Big Hit and John Cusack in Gross Pointe Blank.
Hi Mellverse. Beautiful commentary. Your reactions are on on point and the passion you have for cinematography always comes through . Loved John wick but I am Denzel fqn every time . OMG your dog so gorgeous. You looking good in that salmon pink shirt too 😉💜 Oh and you can beat us in any game, even Battleship yeah lol x
6:33 - Agreed re: Viggo's raising of Iosef - the whole plot could've been avoided if Viggo had made sure that Iosef didn't turn out to be such an ignorant entitled douche. 23:52 - Probably that she was getting paid really well to break the rules, and that she'd figure out a way to get away with it. Now that I think about it, it seems like she has the same problem as Iosef in that she thinks she won't have to deal with the consequences of her actions, no matter what she does. 24:04 - Well, John did work for Viggo, so Winston's probably trusting him to know the location without having to spell it out. This way, he can punish Viggo for putting up the "business on Continental grounds" bounty and do it in such a way that it won't be seen as a potential rules violation in itself.
My first car was a sky blue 1967 Ford Mustang. I loved that damn car lol. It was truly great, you should definitely get one, even if you have to get a fixer upper and fix it up lol
Another good revenge action movie is Man On Fire with Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning, if you haven't seen it yet you _need_ to watch it, it's phenomenal. Denzel friggin kills it as usual, you'll love it.
I missed this when it came out. My brother and I were hanging out at our mothers house scrolling through movies. I saw one and said 'What's John Wick?.......after a moments silence my brother said 'You...HAVENT....seen John Wick??'. After I told him no, he simply said 'Sit Down'. Great movie!
Definitely not overrated or overhyped, the amount of work that Keanu and the rest of the cast and crew put in for these films is incredible. Many of the gun fights and stunts are actually done by Keanu, who went to Taran Tactical to get trained up, as did Halle Berry once she was cast for John Wick 3. Not to mention the camerawork is clean so you can see the action and know the actors are actually doing it, rather than hiding sloppy choreography with quick cuts.
I love Keanu and this movie. Stunt directors sure know their way around making action and its pacing look good. It's fun and simple but still high quality. Would love for you to react to Speed and Bill&Ted! P.S. I wasn't a fan of the cuts to other movie clips, there were too many, they pulled me out of focus *and the transition effect is not sensory friendly.
JOHN WICK❗️🧐 ONE OF MY MOST FAVORITE CHARACTERS AND MOVIES. SPLENDID 🎉 REACTION AND REVIEW EPISODE 👌🏼❗️ MELLO YOU DID GREAT AGAIN 👍🏽 THANK YOU 🙏🏽 🙌🏽 🤟🏽 .
The actor that played one of the agents in the Matrix is named Daniel Bernhardt. He's one of those actors that you say hey I've seen him in so and so but you don't know his name. He started out doing low budget action films - Bloodsport 2 and 3, Bloodsport: The Dark Kumite, Future War, True Vengeance, Perfect Target, G2, Black Sea Raid, and Global Effect. he was also in Mortal Combat Conquest - the tv prequel to the original Mortal Combat movie. After that he got the role most people recognize him from in the Matrix Reloaded. I've seen most of the early low budget movies and was glad when he started getting more mainstream roles. He has been training in Karate, Kung Fu, Taekwondo, Kickboxing, Boxing, Judo and Brazilian Jiujitsu since 1983 and started out as a model in Paris.
its not that he couldnt get that tear out its that he probably held back from feeling that scene as he himself lost an (ex) wife in a car accident after losing their still born daugther ..all within about 2 years
If you want a laugh corridor crew on here redid the special effects and stuff to make certain things more realistic. Then the one guy Peter did a over the top version of the fight scene at the house. Look up Big Wick Energy on here
I am familiar with firearms and my favorite unseen detail of the entire series is the bullet counts. There are no bottomless mags in the guns. I counted along once and John Wick drops his mags and reloads about evert 12 shots fired. When he picks up a 1911 action pistol he reloads after 7. His AR platform rifles are reloaded after about 30. Every. Single. Time. The amount of work it must have taken to edit and cut that together and maintain that level of detail is mind-blowing.
Problem with kids like Iosif is more that they got beat too much - all they learned was that violence makes you powerful and tough. Most violent criminals either have mental illness or were raised with lots and lots of violence. There's plenty of evidence for it.
I had a 68 maroon mustang. Loved it but the engine wasn't geat so had to sell it after a few years. But then my friend who bought it ruined it.. I'm so sad.. I hope to get another one.. 68s were so cool. They were only made for a half year so they are super rare
The guy you thought was the 'father' is Peter Stormare. He is in the 2nd movie and is actually the brother of viggo. Fun Fact: he also plays the guy in Jurassic Park : Lost World who gets eaten by the pack of mini dinos when he foolishly goes to relieve himself in the forest *SUPER FAR AWAY* from the rest of the crew.
Keanu's been in some of the most iconic movies of our time. you might want to check out Point Break, along with Speed. they're both so good. also, another series that's excellent is the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo movies. the original ones, made in Sweden. the lead male character is played by Michael Nyqvist who plays Viggo in this movie.
I totally agree that Vigo should of handled it completely different. He should of said I'll bring your car straight bk 2 you, my son will be there to apologise and if you want to beat him within an inch of his life I understand, just don't kill him.
I'm sorry but these 2 are not movie twins if this is the case you could say taken and the equalizer are twin movies. If anything I could see equalizer being a prequel to man on fire. That said I DO love Diegesis!
I understand how it is to lose someone. I lost my mother recently & it has nearly killed me. My mother was 67 years old. I'm 36 years old. She died of congestive heart failure last Tuesday. My mother was my greatest support & now she's gone. I wish she was still here but I know that's impossible. I don't how I'm going to love without her
5:10 You see it all the time. Guys who have serious physical skills who get their asses kicked because they don't have the mindset. They don't have the situational awareness to see danger before it's too late. They don't have the killer instinct to do what's needed when it does kick off.
I think Keanu did this movie because it's similar to his own life. His wife died of car accident.... but we are not confirmed on the assassin stuff. He's too good for us to catch him.
So I saw The Equalizer on Saturday, and went and saw John Wick on Sunday when they where out. John Wick wins by a mile in my book. Better story, action, and world. The Equalizer was good, but I could barely tell you much about it.
The dog dragged itself to him and then died. The trail of blood shows that real easy to miss but when you notice it makes the whole dog death more meaningful and impact full in my humble opinion. You don't mess with a man's car and dog. Good show bud 👍 👏 👌
Or they just slid it to him.
No. It dragged itself to its owner and died there.
Which is why I love that the dog got taken to the red carpet, because they understood how horrific and sad that scene was, so it was a way to tell people, "It's okay, it's fiction, here's our baby!"
Yeah.. that scene messed me up! I had to stop the video and finish the next day and I was like “everyone’s gotta go”. 😫#daisy
It's not that hard to miss. Some people just aren't that imaginative. No one would drag a bleeding/dead dog across the floor to make a blood trail to an unconscious person. I believe they would pick it up by the tail and drop it in front of him. Only a retard would think that and I have genuinely heard someone say that as a theory.
The guys who put this movie together and made it are also stuntman so I think that's why the action sequences always seem to be so smooth and shot well
They also were the stunt crew on the Matrix movies.
Didn’t they do the raid?
I wanna say they did and that's why there are people in John Wick 2 from it
Marcus only "agreed" to the contract because it was open and he wanted to protect John. He fired a warning shot when John was in the Continental to warn him of Perkins but couldn't actually shoot her because she was on Continental grounds. He was loyal to the end.
Yeah. Epic red herring character. One of the layers that really makes the movie great.
Who knows? 🤷♂️
@@mrtim5363 Hadn't heard that, but makes total sense. Nothing like executive meddling to put errors in a film. :)
He actually said “20 килограммов”, which is 20 kilograms.
I laughed so hard the way you edited yourself under the umbrella to keep yourself out of the rain, with keanu. A plus editing!
I love how in the John Wick Universe being a hitman is part of the gig economy, like being an Uber driver.
Mellow's actor recognition game has gone even further beyond. Over 9000. He's transcended.
OMG, your dog is so precious! She looks like a tiny caricature of the Big Bad Wolf in some old rendition of Red Riding Hood, lol
There is another movie with similar concept to John Wick called Nobody. It starres Bob Odenkirk and it is an absolute blast to watch
They also said they may exist in the same universe too
I second that. I liked it better than the Wick and Bourne movies because it feels more realistic. Another similar to that is Peppermint starring Jennifer Garner. She is an Odenkirk style badass.
It's literally a spinoff set in the same universe
@@WhoCares-dl8zr not officially

Me: It's not just a movie. It's John Wick's movie.
Mellverse: Oh

I'd like to see a John Wick and Equalizer collab. Where they team up to bring down the assassin establishment.
Eh. 80s Equlizer was better.
I love the idea of you doing a twin movie comparison of "Big Trouble In Little China" and "The Golden Child". And I loved the twin movie comparison you guys did on "John Wick" and "The Equalizer"! So good! I never noticed he similar those movies were in plot!

Keanu walks around without bodyguards. He’s literally a walking weapon. I want to see a Keanu Reeves / Michael Jai White Movie / Fight.
Love the consistency with your uploads. I think I've watched every one of your videos. Lol keep up the awesome work!
I really think that this film reinvented the assassin Action/Adventure genre. Great reaction bro! 👍🏿
The director was Brandon Lee's stunt double in The Crow 💘💪😎💪RiP Brandon 💔😰😭😭😭😭
Great production, presentation and narration - like always!
kudos for recognizing agent from matrix. nobody else recognized him
Crazy that you are watching this before Speed. Gotta love John Wick. And the sequels
I like how editor Mell confirms or denies the facts stated by him in the reaction, saves me time having to google it

Whoever harms a Puppy, deserves all the Wrath of the World. So I'm all fine with John Wick's Rampage
If Tinkerbell wants to watch movies , let her join us. Love people's pets.
We need some " I don't remember shit" merch 😂
Asking him if he lost weight was code for "how many guards?" Because he told John honestly, John let him live.
I love both movies. John Wick and The Equalizer are both pretty good. My bias is for John wick!!
6:33 - Agreed re: Viggo's raising of Iosef - the whole plot could've been avoided if Viggo had made sure that Iosef didn't turn out to be such an ignorant entitled douche.

Bridget Moynihan who plays his wife, also played the random demon they did the closeup in Constantine
My first car was a sky blue 1967 Ford Mustang. I loved that damn car lol. It was truly great, you should definitely get one, even if you have to get a fixer upper and fix it up lol
I love the song during the club scene, it is so good.
Please do all the Riddick movies reaction when you get the chance, you’re the best on commentary 👀🤩

Not to mention, the visuals were fucking crazy. That whole de ja vu fading scene every couple of minutes is absolutely something to be amazed for.
Tinkerbell is so cute! 😍

The dog and bed scene was hard to film because the dog didnt want to do it, so I think they put bacon grease on his face.

by the way, canonically. the john wick movies happen within the span of a week, except for the upcoming one
My only gripe with this movie is the muzzle flashes in the first shootout scene in John’s house. Something about them, don’t know why.
The cop who came to John's house was the smartest character in the movie.
Gotta watch Speed 👀👀👀

true, when you teach a kid that violence is what you do when you’re angry and that it’s okay…it’s gonna lead to shitty behaviour
I don't think I have ever heard anyone say they have watched John Wick before and don't remember shit.
Keanu stunt double from the Mayrix movie as was the director in these. That why stunts so good

You guys should do Armageddon vs Deep Impact. I feel like those were in theaters at the exact same time with basically the same premise.
Someone said Viggo lost it because he is so afraid of John. He just cracked up
Mustang front ends are made to look good so Camero owners have something pleasant to look at in their rear view mirrors.
Now I want to watch John Wick again...:)
In an alternate world, John dies and Daisy seeks revenge
Keanu's been in some of the most iconic movies of our time. you might want to check out Point Break, along with Speed. they're both so good.
also, another series that's excellent is the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo movies. the original ones, made in Sweden. the lead male character is played by Michael Nyqvist who plays Viggo in this movie.
1:10 Wyatt Earp vs Tombstone

Trust Me MMA is where its at brother i study in Muay Thai ,Boxing, jiu-jitsu and i love it i cant wait to get back into it 💯💯💯💯
One of the coolest movies of all time
Keanus jits is darn good.
There's some things n people n animals u can't replace n give back once u take n do it there's no going back from it lol

You guys should do White House Down vs London Has Fallen. Literally the exact same movie but I think London has fallen is better!
I know it's kinda late but you should check out "The Protector" that's gotta a similar storyline 👍
There is a John Wick videogame.
