Yep, in Mk95 Johnny was the guy that audience feel connected to cause he did not treat anything seriously and had that autoirony touch. Cole is boring and unnecessary as fuck.
In the original story of Scorpion it was actually Quan Chi that killed Scorpion's family Quan Chi uses shape-shifting magic to kill his family and clan and manipulated Scorpion to kill Sub-Zero but successfully creating Bi-Han into Noob Saibot also the Lin Kuel and the Shirai Ryu are Clan rivals strangely the Lin Kuel Grandmaster wants to turn their warriors into cyborgs (Cyrax and Sektor)
The main thing I had a problem with was Scorpion trying to talk to Cole in Japanese. Dude was an orphan from Chicago. What's the odds that he spoke Japanese? Yet he just somehow comprehends Scorpion. Lol

Overall I thought it was a fun movie and I loved how they made sure it was bloody and full of gore. I want a Mortal Kombat movie to be over the top and crazy. I absolutely loved the portrayal of Sub-Zero and Scorpion. I thought the casting and performances were perfect. Jax was ok, Sonya was ok, Kung Lao and Liu Kang were really good. Kano was all personality and I loved that performance. But my goodness I think Cole was the most boring character possible. I don't even blame the actor because the character in general was really boring and plain. He was supposed to be the "every man" normal type who somehow got caught up in all of this. He was the audience's vehicle for getting to know what was going on and I think it fell really flat. I would have been perfectly fine just going from character to character and watching them learn on their own rather than have them group up with a random guy that is essentially the main character. My only other complaints were that the CGI was pretty inconsistent. There were times when it was ok, but some times (such as with Goro) it really looked bad. I feel this movie was in the middle because it could have been really good, but could have been worse. It was fun, but flawed. And I'd say my favorite fighting game would be Mortal Kombat 3 on Sega Genesis. It was the game all my friends were into and learning the fatalities was the best way to get respect from everyone at school.

I don’t understand why they couldn’t just have Johnny be the audiences vehicle for learning about the tournament. He has already filled that role in the games. Or they could have had Sonya do that. Instead they made up a shitty pointless boring character whose power is plot armor

Jaxx was in the first one for a few seconds when they introduce Sonja and Kano . Then he was a big part of the second one. This would technically be the third movie. If you don’t count the animated movie and the “Mortal Kombat : Legacy” show, which I think was just a few episodes on UA-cam but it was pretty damn good
I liked about 30 percent of what was in the movie, there were some really strong parts, like Liu Kang's character and others, but they literally gave the main unknown character plot armor as his power lol.
The actor who played Kano in the first movie is the reason Kano is Australian, originally Kano was Japanese American but he just decided he wanted to do a Australian accent for the movie (he wasn’t even Australian, if I remember right.)
Fun Fact: Big Guy with the hammer is Reiko, but he is not a brute like how he is portrayed in this movie, but rather he is one of Shao Khan's smartest generals. The fine lady with the wings is named Nitara
Good fights, good costumes, good effects, good fan-service but man the story of Cole stole so much time that could have gone to the interesting characters

Would've been cool to have had an actual tournament in this movie.
I remember doing the repeated leg sweep with Liu Kang in the game.
"Who's this guy? Where's Liu Kang and Sub Zero?"
EXACTLY
Bro i loved the editing to make each fight seem like in the game that was dope haha
Shinnok better be in Part 2 and played by Tom Hiddleston
I think he'd be perfect
I remember playing this game a long time ago on my Sega Genesis…always tore it up with Scorpion
Scorpion, cool design & moveset (including all of his fatalities), tragic backstory, and of course his catchphrase "GET OVER HERE!!!"
Jaxx was in the first one for a few seconds when they introduce Sonja and Kano . Then he was a big part of the second one. This would technically be the third movie. If you don’t count the animated movie and the “Mortal Kombat : Legacy” show, which I think was just a few episodes on UA-cam but it was pretty damn good
I LOVE how you edited in the sound effects and visual fight ques… great!
Scorpion and kung Lao my dudes 🔥
I liked about 30 percent of what was in the movie, there were some really strong parts, like Liu Kang's character and others, but they literally gave the main unknown character plot armor as his power lol.
30%? Damn, dude. I wonder what fcking movies are 100% for you 🤦♂️🤦♂️
The actor who played Kano in the first movie is the reason Kano is Australian, originally Kano was Japanese American but he just decided he wanted to do a Australian accent for the movie (he wasn’t even Australian, if I remember right.)
Really hoping Mortal Kombat gets sequels that flesh out the characters
I like the part where they say “mortal kombat” 🤤
I didn’t expect Kano to steal the absolute fuck out of this movie, but the actor nailed it.
Nitara is her name since u asked about her
She's the only Vampire character and made her debut in Deadly Alliance
The MK edits are hilarious
Fun Fact: Big Guy with the hammer is Reiko, but he is not a brute like how he is portrayed in this movie, but rather he is one of Shao Khan's smartest generals. The fine lady with the wings is named Nitara
Man those casual references to Goro, Shao Kahn and Barakka. They kinda did my boy kung lao dirty
Good fights, good costumes, good effects, good fan-service but man the story of Cole stole so much time that could have gone to the interesting characters
Thx man the for the fight, fitality, Finsh him game edit sounds , that's is gold
*Cole taps out*
Mell: YOU TRASH
The fandom: Ladies and Gentlemen, we got em
My boi Kung Lao comin in clutch with his hat trick
Mellooooo!!!! I love your videos and watching you. My favorite MK character is Sindel and Kitana. You've been putting videos out like crazy thank you for your time and hard work to push all these videos out. I love your shirt and need me one lol. Hope your doing good.
The dragon ball narration is everything 🤣🤣🤣🤣👌🏻
"This SEEMS like a real Mortal Kombat game where you'd Kreate-A-Kharacter and they would interact with YOU."
Me: FINALLY! SOMEBODY GETS IT! COLE IS A THING IN THE GAMES BECAUSE HE'S THE KREATE-A-KHARACTER! Why didn't anyone ELSE understand that a few MONTHS ago? I KNEW it was a good idea to subscribe to you!
This movie was so good. I’m excited for the sequel.
I still get hyped when I see this movie! I still find myself getting giddy when they show references to the games and I always get excited when Scorpion finally appears.
My favorites are a three-way tie. Kabal, Baraka, and Cyrax But, I also like Devorah (sp?) from the newer games.
You probably figured it out by now, but the lizard thing was the Green Ninja Reptile. They had him in the original movie as well.
29:51 same exact reaction lmao
Kano was undoubtedly one of the best parts of this remake.
The power Jax unlocked was super strength 💪🏾
The story and how they added Cole really killed the movie for me, i felt like it was way too bad for me to enjoy anything else
Cole's power is literally plot armor
Thanks for your hilarious and enthusiastic reaction! Definitely needed it.
*sees intro dancing to MK music
*thumbs up video
This movie was SAVAGE and true to the mortal Kombat lore. The best one yet. The gore n fighting in this on dope af. Scorpion is dope af so is Kung Lao
Steve Harvey 50 cent Jax head ass had me on the floor bruh lmfao
