Tommen wasn't recast because the actor aged out. It is actually more of the opposite. The original Tommen was probably 9-11 years old in the first season, making him 13-16 years old during the filming of season 4. However season 4 and 5 heavily featured Tommen and put him in scenes that are not suitable for an actor that young (implied sex with Natalie Dormer and kiss in season 5 ) and needed to be on set for sometime. (Child actors have a lot of legal requirements on how long they can work in a day which makes filming difficult.) GoT recast him with an older actor Dean-Charles Chapman who was 17 at the time of filming season 4 ( and 18 for the scene after their marriage). This is was because of the two reasons mentioned but also because as Tommen had more dialogue they wanted an actor who could handle that need.

The original mountain was neighbor in the Philippines. I read that fans supposedly didn't like the original actor who played Daario. Not likely. They were both handsome but Skrein had something special in his eyes.
One of my more insane theories has Qyburn actually turning the Mountain against her. Sandor Clegane was the one who sacked Harrenhal on Lannister orders, almost killing Qyburn in the process. He was rescued by Robb Stark and Talisa. I think he sent Bronn away of his own accord. His loyalties may not be as they appear.

I liked the third one. He was good imo when was introduced as a Champion for Tyrion's trial-by-combat. The second one, was, mehh. He really did not look intimidating as the first and third.
Those first 2 Mountains were too small in my opinion. The mountain is much more formidable now so I’d say it does matter that he’s cast. Sure they could replace him now and build someone up to that size, but him being cast was very vital to his character. In the books horses look like ponys beneath him. Those guys were big, but not big enough.
Conan Stevens is enormous irl, around 7 foot tall and jacked. The 2nd actor was tall but just lanky. Hafthor nailed it though which is why they still call him “The Mountain”.
Wilko Johnson played Ser Ilyn Payne, the Kings Justice. The actor got cancer and had to leave his roll. He never got replaced, and the character was just kind of forgot about.

First of all, I have only watched the show, and though I haven't been able to get into the books yet, I do know there are vast differences. I just know that Daenerys could have owned the TV series if she hadn't gone all "Mad Queen" Just like her father.
Ed Skrein who played him first, makes Daario Naharis SPECIAL after the re - cast under Michiel Huismann he was like a conventional mercenary a another Bronn.

It's one of those "Am I losing my mind" when you start to realize they changed actors.
Yeah i had the same for Beric... Its also cos he changed from a lord to an outlaw leader offc. So it was less obvious then all of the others... Cos Berics change could have just been another person.
The first actor who played Daario Naharis looked so cocky and sure of himself it made him look like a badass, the second actor was more of a follower and less cocky, so he didn’t seem as badass at first until he killed that top warrior guy in like 3 seconds

Bran's fall didn't give him his warg powers....if ya'll read the books or anything online you'd know most of the starks could warg into their wolves, and arya and bran were the strongest. But the fall didn't make bran the way he is

Grimah facts the show has been on a slow decline after they surpassed the books bc they didn’t have that strong base to go off of. Still a good show tho
I loved the first Daario Ne'haris ( Ed Skrein). He had swag. I didn't like the 2nd one. He made a few strides as an actor, (Transporter and Deadpool) so Ed made a good choices. That Night King gives a whole new meaning to "Walking Dead".
This explains so many moments of confusion for me. It didn't gebt behind the Daario thing and thought it was simply a new character I forgot between seasons.
Did not mention, that the second actor who played the night king, was the same guy that played the first white walker that Jon snow "iced" with wolfsbane sword in the old wildling village where they barely escaped.... he got repackaged as the new night king
I actually liked the first actor who played Daario Naharis better than the second guy. The first guy had a uniqueness to him. The second guy just looked like a bland male model.
Since the role of Ed Skrein as Daario Naharis has been replaced by Michiel Huissman... The character from Daario Naharis has changed... I prefer when Ed Skrein plays the role of Daario Naharis
Daario was so hot but when they replaced him I was so disappointed. Also sad how he just disappeared as a character. I don't remember what even happened to him.
It's a little hard to call daenarys a warrior. Don't get me wrong she's awesome, but the dragons did all the fighting and combat. It's like calling the mother of a warrior a warrior when she has never lifted a sword in her life. Now Arya? That's a damn warrior. Badass to the bone.

The original was like the bad boy/boy toy all the girls swooned for. The re-cast felt more in line with the show. It bothered me, because the original actor had really good on-screen charisma and stood out. But it was definitely a night and day difference on casting.
When daario got replaced I didn’t even know it was daario until like 2 seasons later
I liked the original Daario way more not because of looks or anything but his charisma and air as a barbarian. He was just so much more exciting and memorable in scenes, really got disappointed when dull face, dull voice Daario number 2 appeared out of nowhere.
I completely disagree. He always looked seriously out of place to me.
You can go ahead and retitle this: “These Game of Thrones Roles Were Recast” if you’re only going to give reasons for like two of them.
The first Dario...wow. Always wanted to see that love scene between him and dany. He had swagger.
Think he was TOO attractive and compelling. Wouldn’t be realistic for Dany to leave him ;)
@@nickiwhye3033 he really was very attractive :)!
I didn’t think so, I just thought he was grinning too much and made him creepy
The first guy looked like he made sure to kill evil people and didn't kill innocent, weaker things.
The second guy was VERY suburban.

6:46 one of the most brutal moments in tv history. the noise she made when seeing her daughter burn sent a shiver down my spine.
amazing acting on her part.
Yeah, that was arguably the most brutal, gut-wrenching scene in the show, behind the Red Wedding. Burning their own little daughter alive? Stannis the Mannis, no longer.
I dont care recasting, its unavoidable on long running show. But please cast someone who look as close to the original specially on major role.
Personally I don't care about that. I'd rather it be based on the acting ability first and foremost.
This kind of sentiment is how we get garbage like michael gambon as Dumbledore, instead of anyone halfway competent at playing film roles (yes I know he's a celebrated theater thespian - but he admits he's crap at film, and it shows)
Yeah but they would have to actually be able to act and pull of the character, looks are important but it’s definitely not everything.
Samwell Tarly was Jon’s great friend but completely forgot that he was the rightful king in the final episode. Some friend!
Great point!!!
Season 8 doesn’t exist. You’re misremembering.

Shannon OuO/ I thought he looked like Fabio; couldn’t take him seriously.

He creeped me out too.
Yep. The second one was way more attractive.
No, you were not the only one. He was, why I dislike the whole character even though second was better. He turned me right off.
Wonder why they didn't at least choose an actor who never appeared on the show. That dude got two death scenes as two completely different people.
What are you guys talking about? Tommen didn't had any sex scene in series. 😂

I loved the first Daario.
Esme Seyfried He was intense. When they replaced him in the show, I thought Dany had a new boyfriend, lol. They should have given the new guy a wig to match the first one. Still wouldn't have those eyes, but at least you'd know who he was supposed to be.

Only one I noticed was daario and they actually explained it. Plus the fuck would this channel know about any of these actors...
I was watching the season with Daario, and I was so confused cause I didnt see him after that fight but they still said his name😂 It took me a while to understand that Michiel was playing him.
I still think Tarley magically transforms into George R R Martin at the end if the series.

That's not completely true about Ed Skrein. He has said in many interviews that he wanted to play Daario until the end of the show, but he was replaced due to movie politics.
The original mountain was neighbor in the Philippines. He was a pretty cool dude but later turned to drugs, when I asked him for a picture he turned me down politely and said "Facebook and twitter are evil man" I last saw him walking back and forth contemplating on something, as if a mad man really. Really really really sad to see.
I met Esme Bianco ( theons favorite prostitute) at a Miami comic con and since i was trying to collect the GoT actors autographs she and khal drogo were the only 2 that were in Miami and i had already gotten khals signature in Tampa along with aryia and the hound . So i paid 25.00 for Esme's autograph and my friend was snapping photos of our encounter and she demanded we stop taking the picture and that if i wanted a picture i had to pay another 25.00 . All the other GoT members that i have my pics with were very nice and down to earth , Esme thought she was so special and quite arrogant as well as being greedy needless to say I didn't care much about her after that day . I didn't even care that she got killed off the show either . lol

Well, I know why thr old Daenerys was switched out: Emilia Clarke is WAY hotter.
Too bad she can't act. And give it about 5 years. Those Kewpie Doll looks will go to fat. It the body type, barely over 5 foot, sloped narrow shoulders, short waist, stump legs, pudgy shapeless arms.

Things I don't need:
1. Five ads in a 10 minute video.
I read that fans supposedly didn't like the original actor who played Daario. Not likely. They were both handsome but Skrein had something special in his eyes.
And the reasons are...
Yep, still waiting.
Correction, the Mountain obeys Qyburn not Cersei. The Mountain only obeys Cersei because Qyburn told him to.

Yeah there's no way anyone else could've played Dany. I love Emilia's portrayal and I believe she was perfect based on the books. Merchant to play Dany or any other...I don't think I would've loved the character. The casting was perfect but like 2. But I really wish the dude that played Darrio didn't leave, I didn't like the new one. I also didn't like the mountain recasts. The one that played the mountain during the tourney against the flower knight that actor was perfect for the role
agreed!
Emilia’s acting was uneven in this series.
Agreed, he had more of an evil look, the most recent actor, you can just see through the facade that he just looks like a big nice guy.
Hafthor nailed it though which is why they still call him “The Mountain”.
i almost thought the reason dario changed was because he was a faceless man
Wilko Johnson played Ser Ilyn Payne, the Kings Justice. The actor got cancer and had to leave his roll. He never got replaced, and the character was just kind of forgot about.
I just read that apparently Ed Skrein (first Daario) has been forced to leave the show due to the producers, he denied that he left for another movie and he said it was because of "political reasons" so I'm very curious to know which ones.

RIP Rhaegal. He never saw Euron coming with those scorpions on his iron fleet.

Why would Dany fly directly at the ships with weapons pointing at her instead of coming from behind and frying them?

“A feminist icon” who was turned into a mad queen. Not a great 8th season for Daenerys
exactly
moreover, turned mad without a reason...
at least Aerys II had the lannister army at his gates, so blowing everything woud get rid of his enemies for sure
I cant find Dany's motivation for the stupid turn? I guess D&D are the reason
Hosam Mozzamel she was always mad though, her madness just never showed because she was used to getting everything her way. when she didn’t, she just snapped
@@justaperson8261 Through the whole show Danerys never really earned anything by being a clever military leader or good at politics, she was always gifted wins by the plot, starting from 3 equivalents of an atomic bomb to terrorize enemies. I always hated when the show was cutting to her part of the plot because it was like reading some fanfic with thinly veiled Marry Sue.
The signs were there early on, the way she ended up was a natural conclusion.
First of all, I have only watched the show, and though I haven't been able to get into the books yet, I do know there are vast differences. I just know that Daenerys could have owned the TV series if she hadn't gone all "Mad Queen" Just like her father.
The real reason that all these videos are showing up in my recommended section. Explain that.

Ed Skrein who played him first, makes Daario Naharis SPECIAL after the re - cast under Michiel Huismann he was like a conventional mercenary a another Bronn.
I LITERALLY though Daario Naharis was a faceless man in Daeneryus's company who changed his face between episodes.
I like how the video explains Character-Backgrounds everybody knows to get over 10 Minutes somehow. :)
Kevin Eldon (from Hot Fuzz) also played two separate roles: 1. As the actor portraying Ned Stark in the theater play in Braavos and 2. As a Goldcloak that confronts Tyrion, Gendry and Daavos.
"The Real Reason These Game Of Thrones Roles Were Recast" LITERALLY the first one stays unanswered lmao
I can honestly say, when I first got addicted to this show I was binge watching like crazy it literally took me a season to figure out about Beric, and the mountain change. I thought season 1 mountain was still on the run, and season 2 mountain was just a "general" or someone of quite importance in that season. It's one of those "Am I losing my mind" when you start to realize they changed actors.
Yeah i had the same for Beric... Its also cos he changed from a lord to an outlaw leader offc. So it was less obvious then all of the others... Cos Berics change could have just been another person.
yeah I thnik the changes made an already complex show more difficult to follow. pretty annoying some of the changes.
The first actor who played Daario Naharis looked so cocky and sure of himself it made him look like a badass, the second actor was more of a follower and less cocky, so he didn’t seem as badass at first until he killed that top warrior guy in like 3 seconds
Dario actor #1 made a stupid move...
The transporter, really?
Lol.
saelaird I was thinking the same thing 🤣🤣
I'm a Jason Statham fan, but in this instance, you're 100% right.
I think the actor said it was "politics" that got him off the show. He didn't want to go further into it. Seems like somebody didn't like him.
Yeah seems like there is more to the story
saelaird I blocked that movie out my head..he will always be Francis to me, a.k.a Ajax 😂😂😂
The original Dario would have been peeeeerfect
3:49 -- Myrcella didn't discover her real parentage, she said she always knew.
OG Daario was perfect. The second one had no sense of danger or charisma and became a background character
KIng Joffrey 1st of his name was the best acting.. Jack Gleeson nailed it
Max von Sydow is best known for long collaboration with Ingmar Bergman, not for that crap you mentioned. And despite that I'm a humble fan of his, I liked first version of Raven more.
daario was the only one I noticed. I kinda liked the first actor more tbh, he just looks so much more exotic and fit for a fantasy show. the second daario is definitely good looking as well, but he gives me modern guy vibes and it's weird. It's just strange to me that the casting directors didn't try harder to make them look like the same person.
"...no fewer than 3..."
Stannis would be proud.
Bran's fall didn't give him his warg powers....if ya'll read the books or anything online you'd know most of the starks could warg into their wolves, and arya and bran were the strongest. But the fall didn't make bran the way he is
I much preferred the original Daario. Not at first, I thought he was a bit cheesy, but then he grew on me. The guy who replaced him just wasn’t as interesting, he blended in, he wasn’t supposed to blend in 😔
The re-casts and bad writing from the later seasons are the only things that hurt this show.
That Night King gives a whole new meaning to "Walking Dead".
what happened to Dario? I can't actually remember him in season 8
he stayed in Meereen to keep the price or something. don’t know much more
This explains so many moments of confusion for me. It didn't gebt behind the Daario thing and thought it was simply a new character I forgot between seasons.
Trash video, doesn't explain anything about why the actors were switched.
Yeah they basically just explained Daario cause the actor went to film another movie.
Mega Traum 😂😂😂
It wasn't scheduling ed skrein was very open that he was removed and then got the transporter film
It's tough remembering all characters are it is .. then they confuse us even further with recasting
Dickon Tarley was Luther Hargreeves aka Number 1 from The Umbrella Academy
None of Cerseis kids were Baratheon.... they were all her brothers. So u got that wrong!
Forgot about Dario he can bring the army danny needs
Daario went from an amazing character to just your average man
Couldn"t gave said it better myself, truly a waste of a potentially memorable character...
Daario: sorry I gotta do this transporter with Mark Wahlberg
