I’m cheep so I capitalized on the bikes that customers are to cheep to repair. rebuild what needs to be ride for a season and sell. Keeps bikes running provides me with experience on different makes and models and thanks for the tips chuck 👍
my local Honda shop used to have a sign by the door to the workshop that said "Taking a dirty bike to a mechanic is like going to the proctologist without wiping your ass"
Chuck I understand that there is a time for everything to die but when they do were do all the carcasses go . I don't see a lot of older machines being parted out .
The dirt caked on and the air filter tell you the story of how this bike wasn’t cared for
A thorough check over at the beginning gives a realistic vision to the customer and makes the mechanic more money in the long run. Win-win.
Great tutorial on how to quickly check a bike over. Subbed

Customer lacks the decency to wash the bike before taking it to shop. No surprise it's not maintained well.

You should also do this exact inspection on any used 2 stroke you are thinking about buying.
That's why I watched the video. I wonder if a seller will let me take the exhaust or a cover off
@@chumps7974 If they have nothing to hide they won't object. It's not like you are taking the topend off.
Great video - quick and to the point. 🙏
Good logical inspection system. Liked and subscribed.
Awesome video yet again!!
dude. great value! definitely subscribe!
I'd start with the air filter check just based on the amount of durt sucking we see here on UA-cam. Nice list Chuck!

They usually get rebuilt. This one is getting an engine job.
Tip end, no problem, splitting the cases, get your master card out.😳😳😳
Wait, what? 3K? Why?
Bearings, crank, piston, gaskets, oil & about 10 hours labour. Add tax & you’re sniffing $3k.
How to do a 15 min 2 stroke inspection in 4:14 minutes. :)))
The magic of iMovie. 😉

I would never bring a dirty filthy bike to a mechanic, never!
this is an old bike... pretty sure everything else is going to be wrong with it as well, but the power issue can be completely unrelated.
No wash, no work! What a peanut!!!
3gs bro what in the world i got my tm for 2500,
I can buy a bike for $500.
@@ChuckfromTrueTech my bike was immaculate, just got a gasgas200 for 600, it needed a little work but a solid bike, how much is nikasil over there
1st I would wash the mud off it. LOL
I’ll do that once the engine is out. Not wasting 15 minutes if the customer decides to scrap it.
Download a workshop manual and wrench on it yourself.
