it’s kinda ironic how pro scrims is actually worse gameplay than normal fortnite
NFS Patrick I wouldn’t call it worse gameplay. Perhaps unique. Something you don’t regularly see. Honestly how they play in pro scrims is how I see everyone playing eventually. I’ve started to notice not to always get into a build fight. Or a build fight honestly just puts you in a worse position. No point in continuously fighting for high ground.
Daky Afou makes sense, but it’s still really boring to watch. Normally I try to like his videos but I don’t think I want to for this. I’m glad they won!, but it wasn’t interesting to watch. That also could just be due to their lack of loot and shitty luck in finding anything
Sam Schellhase I honestly find big build fights boring because it’s so little shooting and soooooo much repetitive building up and up and up and up and up just to eventually get one shot on their shield before they disappear and you start the whole process again
I understand that point. However, this was like the extreme opposite. Hide in a box and camp until the game ends. Literally play like all the campy players that Nick hates to play against, and it makes for a slow game. Maybe intense and stressful, but they didn't move around that much, they didn't get good loot (which is definitely just bad luck, but still) and they crouched under tunnels the entire game. I understand that build fights get repetitive, but so does crouching in a tunnel build the entire game.
No good snipes were had either, no really impressive moments, and in my opinion, it was just hard to watch. I kept thinking something else would happen, but before I knew it, I had watched 25 mins of crouching in a hut
Sam Schellhase couldn’t be further from the truth. You’re not going to get nasty snipes shots against pro players. The strats used here are different than normal pubs. You’re going against skilled players, all sweating, all with most likely better loot than you (in this games scenario). You started the game off really weak and didn’t have any “good” guns really for awhile and almost every team they ran across had high ground already. I thought this was one of the smartest and most innovative strats because of how unique it is. Everyone wants high ground and he took the opposite approach and won with it in a pro lobby. To call it boring is ridiculous seeing as how at any point they could’ve got pushed on and punished but used smart tactics and new metas to their advantage

Crazy watching this after 2 years. The game has changed so much, and Marksman has too. Still love his SnD videos more, but it was moments like these where we all saw that he was enjoying a game! (Also I just realised that he and Wildcat beat Tfue at the time XD)
