@@kayemni marjin van putten has written about this. The idea of the quran being word for word, letter for letter preserved exactly as from muhammad's mouth is a modern narrative that originated in the 20th century, that has become a popular narrative amongst islamic propagandists. While it would be similar it is not 100% preserved directly from muhammad since the quran was completed decades after his death.
How easy it is for muslims to edit their supposed holy book just to make their doctrine safe from scrutiny. Even in my locality, the quran replaced Israel with Palestine when Palestine wasn't even a word in mohamad's time.
@@ryanjames3793 Christianity has more leeway in this regard. The 4 gospels are essentially variants. Not everyone was around to see everything Jesus ever did. Mark got his stuff from Peter. Matthew and John were there. Luke was a follower of Paul and likely more academic. It seems like Islam has the same thing. The Quran was put together by people that came after Muhammed. His followers and their students. Then when the faith diverged, just like Christianity into Edomites and Arians and Gnostics, they came together to create an official text. Official from the regime though, not official from God.
It's forbidden to marry prophet's wives because they are like the believers' mothers, but Muhammad can be like a father and still marry those who are like his daughters. It's plain to see why they had to delete this phrase.
They had to delete the phrase because it is in conflict with this verse: Quran 33:40 *Muhammad is not the father of any of your men,* but (he is) the Messenger of Allah, and the Seal of the Prophets: and Allah has full knowledge of all things.
@@mysotiras21 I am just curious what is their alternative after leaving Islam. Also from my interaction some of those anonymous accounts who claim being ex Muslims are really never Muslims when probed further.
The variant actually makes a lot of sense. It flows naturally with his wives being their mothers. It was remove because it contradicts the saying that Muhammad is a father to no one. Even being a spiritual father contradicts this later “revelation”.

@@theallseeingeye9388 Surah Fatiha has two main variants that add to the meaning of the Surah. Malik Yaymideen and Maalik Yawmideen. Malik Yawmideen means King of the Day of Judgement and Maalik Yawmidin means Owner or Possessor of the day of Judgement with the Alif Khanjariyah. The variants enhance the meaning of the Quran.
Verses condoning sex slavery alone should be enough for anyone to be fairly confident this book is NOT from God because God would surely have known better, even back then.
Very decent coverage of the issue. Additionally, we might remember that preservation only exists from the time of Caliph Uthman. Additionally also, preservation is not sufficient evidence of any miraculous origin.
The more I look into Islam the more depressing it becomes. I got interested in the subject when I heard about the "Quranic miracles" and the cheapness of these miracles (and why they became so popular) was already shocking in itself. But the deeper you dive, the more (sorry) ridiculous it becomes. This is just another example of course, there are also the Sanaà scriptures, the satanic verses, and sure, the many inconsistencies in the Quran itself. May be you (Abdullah Sameer) should make a video on how these miracles were created and promoted. An entry point would be to look up the career of "Abdul Majeed al-Zindani".

The Sanaa Manuscript in Yemen is a Palimpsest. It has been wiped ckean and written over later and modern techniques revealed the underlying text that differed in some ways.
The Sanaa manuscript consist of hundreds of manuscripts all of which conforms to the standard acceptable readings of the Quran including that particular palimpsest if you ignore the erased writings. The unique feature of the palimpsest is that you can write and erased which is perfect for a student who may make mistakes. One of the "hidden" writings was "do not write Bismillah" after the student wrote "Bismillah" for a surah that does not start with the phrase. Seriously a version of Quran with revelation , "do not write Bismillah"? It is clearly written by a student. Also the hidden writings do not show full passages but a word here and there with many missing lines. So how do you come up with full passages to compare with the current readings? What the critics did was to ownself fill the blanks and then ownself say there are differences. There were 3 non Muslim researchers on the Sanna project appointed by the authority. One researcher a German orientalist claimed the preservation of the Quran was not stable based on the student palimpsest alone while ignoring the hundreds of other manuscripts. The other two strongly opposed him because clearly he has an agenda and he had to retract his statement. Yes the Quran is perfectly preserved with it's variant readings which is a mercy to the Muslims. The companions are aware of the variant readings and the prophet peace be upon himself affirmed and had actually asked for the variant readings which was clearly narrated in the Hadith. The most important thing however is the believe that there is one god , he had sent messengers and that a large proportion of the world population would receive the message and will not go astray. If you believe in a god you can carry out a process of elimination and by default you will end up with Islam is the truth.
@@twnb7733 Did Jesus peace be upon him state the name of god in your New Testament? No. You only have the word "father" or "god" in English translation of the new testament. A school friend became a convert way back and that's one of the things I remember her telling me to explain what she felt was the inherent superiority of Islam. We were roommates at a summer science program and I remember her crying on the phone to her boyfriend about issues like not wanting to wear the hajib and not wanting him to have additional wives. He was planning to go to medical school and she was going to follow suit. He planned to open a medical practice in Egypt. She hoped to work with him. I saw her on my college campus wearing a hajib and riding a motor scooter. When we talked, I remember her trying to convince me to send one of my jewel thief characters to prison where she could convert to Islam. I worry about her sometimes. I never had any contact information for her after she got married, so other than running into her on campus, I lost touch. She caved to wearing hajib when she didn't want to. What else did he want that she just went along with or didn't have a choice to say no to?

This does not include Sana Palimpsests which changes the picture even more, but here is a summary. This only covers the difference between the Qur'an that is actively used today. If you compare today's Qur'an with early ones, the picture gets more clouded. Yes, there are some differences between the written versions of the Qur'an, primarily due to the different Qira'at (recitations). These differences are subtle and involve variations in spelling, diacritical marks, pronunciation, and sometimes word choice. Here's a clearer breakdown of the types of differences and which groups use which versions: Differences Between Written Versions of the Qur'an Minor Variations in Text: The differences between the written versions of the Qur'an are usually minor and include: Diacritical Marks: Variations in vowel markings or other diacritical marks, which affect pronunciation but not the consonantal skeleton of the text. Word Choices: In a few cases, there are slight differences in word choices. For example: In Surah Al-Fatiha (1:4), some recitations use "مَالِكِ" (Maliki, "Owner") while others use "مَلِكِ" (Malik, "King"). Spelling Variations: Certain words may have different spellings in different Qira'at. For example, "إِبْرَاهِيم" (Ibrahim) is sometimes spelled "إِبْرَهم" in certain recitations. Regional Versions Based on Qira'at: The different Qira'at have given rise to slightly different written versions of the Qur'an. Here are the primary ones: Hafs an Asim (The Most Common Version): Differences: This version follows the rules of the Hafs an Asim recitation. It is the basis for the 1924 Cairo edition, which is the most widely used written version today. Differences from other versions include diacritical marks and slight variations in wording, such as "Maliki" instead of "Malik." Regions: Used predominantly across the Middle East, South Asia, Turkey, Southeast Asia, and most of the Muslim world. Warsh `an Nafi' Version: Differences: Contains slight differences in diacritical marks, spelling, and occasionally word forms compared to the Hafs version. For instance, in Surah Al-Fatiha, it reads "Maliki" instead of "Malik," and other minor spelling variations throughout the text. Regions: Primarily used in parts of North and West Africa, including Morocco, Algeria, and parts of West Africa. Qalun `an Nafi' Version: Differences: Similar to Warsh but with some unique variations in diacritical marks and pronunciation rules. Regions: Used in parts of Libya and North Africa. Other Qira'at (Like Al-Duri, Khalaf, etc.): Differences: These versions have slight differences in pronunciation, spelling, and word forms. However, they are less widely used today. Regions: Historically used in specific regions or communities, but now largely replaced by the Hafs or Warsh versions. Conclusion Yes, there are differences between the written versions of the Qur'an, mainly due to the different Qira'at. These variations are minor and involve differences in spelling, diacritical marks, pronunciation, and occasionally word choice. However, these differences are generally considered acceptable within the Islamic tradition, and all these versions are regarded as valid and authentic representations of the Qur'an. Different regions may use different Qira'at, resulting in variations in the written Qur'an, but the core message and content remain consistent across these versions.
The rasm variants also prove that Quranic manuscripts were more authoritative that hafiz memorisation. The variants that disappeared would not have disappeared if oral transmission was the primary mode of transmission. And the textual variants in the manuscript record cannot be dismissed casually the way Dawah guys attempt to.
♦In the so-called 1923 Egypt manuscript and in all the Qur'an copies we now have, have you found that the *chapters, verses and words are arranged differently* ?

The strangest thing for me is the insistence on the obvious lie that a text of that age has been transmitted without any changes. We rightly scoff at Christians who insist that the Bible is the literal word of God, but it seems that even mainstream Islamic theology is absolutely nuts in this regard. I confess that the more I learn about Islam, the less respect I have for it as a belief system.
David S. Powers' book, Muhammad Is Not The Father Of Any Of Your Men, is a good and enlightening analysis on Q. 33:6 and related passages. Basically, it has to do with Muhammad not having any surviving male heirs, and therefore there will be no more prophets after him, because prophethood passes on in a patrilineal way. Hence, "Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but is the messenger of God and the seal of the Prophets (i.e., the last prophet)," Q. 33:40. Having no son and prophecy's finality are connected in this verse. It's also why Q. 33:53 prohibits anyone marrying Muhammad's wives after him, because this could constitute a type of levirate marriage that could produce an heir. Powers affirms that these passages were composed post-Muhammad.
I think the actual reason was an attempt to counter this verse: Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, *Everlasting Father,* Prince of Peace. Remember that the Quran complains that Jews and Christians were calling themselves children of God. It says that we all come before God as slaves. Someone might have remembered this verse and said that the Prophet/Messenger of God who is to be sent, is going to be called Father. Muhammed = Praised One = Jesus (because Judah means Praised. Genesis 29:35, 49:8, 49:10) So it is easy to see a liturgy that says that Muhammed (The Praised One) is the Father of your men, based on their understanding of this Isaiah verse. But if everyone is a slave and not a child (adopted or not. And we know that the quran also cancelled adoption) then Muhammed cannot be a Father.
*Whatever you spew, the Qur'an has the same chapter, verse, word order* from Xin Jiang to Mozambique. To make it harder, test out non Arabs learning the Qur'an by heart.
The quran seems like the author thought they would have a book of poetry, they thought would be good. Then everyone sobered up and said it was great when we were buzzing. Then everyone wrote what they thought it all meant.
I'm not a Muslim and must admit I've felt uncomfortable about the Quran most of my life. That completely changed when i started looking at it not as a religious book but as a historical source. Then it seemed really beautiful to me how it allows me to sneak peek into such a different time and culture. Honestly, I think it is very tiring as a believer today to read these old stories where people had completely different beliefs and life styles (including marrying children was ok 🤯) and try to reconcile that with our knowledge and beliefs today, just because you think you have to stick to the premise that it is somehow holy and you somehow have to make it work for your ideas today. I've seen the same irrational inner fights with Christians and myself, and it's one reason I am not christian anymore now.
Oh? Which parts of the Quran has been backed up by archeological findings such that you can consider this a historical document? Quran 53:19 Have you thought upon Al-Lat and Al-'Uzza 20 and your third idol al-Manat (whom you considered as God's daughters)? Archeology says that these are Nabatean Goddesses and they were not daughters of anyone. Inscriptions found say that these were either the wife of Allah or of Dushara (the Chief Nabatean God), or the mother of the gods. So it does not even appear to reflect what the people actually thought in their day.

0:03 Interestingly, Christians say the same about the Bible. Gaudiya Vaishnavas say the same about their "perfect" discipular succession (parampara)... They all have the only well-preserved non-manmade tradition.
The thing is, our books are based on manuscripts that were later found by archeologists so unless someone took his time to bury some other added books idk why those shouldnt be credible... we do not claim our bible was sent down from God already written...
@@roniamettle3105 Not because you can have a very well recorded document in history, that would mean a document has not changed, let alone prove the veracity of its content. Bart Ehrman has calculated that The New Testament alone has around 300000 differences among the different manuscripts. Most of those are just an irrelevant misspelling, but many misspellings lead to ambiguous interpretation that may change a whole message. Another few changes are big. Like the absence or addition of verses in each manuscript. The NT alone is very well documented, so much that we can tell what stories were added later to convey different ideas the writers had about Jesus and adapt his message...

Until the Abbasid revolution when they took over and created a new religion the seerah of a new prophet and added many interpolations into the Quranic corpus which was originally a collection of hymns, lectionaries and exegisis written by anonymous scribes and authors who were simply monks and priests of that Syriac Aramaic non trinitarian community the Quranic corpus before the Abbasids was seen simply as the work of human authors who were discussing biblical stuff that the Syriac anti-trinitarian Judeo-Christian sub-sect used the Abbasids also falsely attributed many of hadiths to people like Bhukari, Muslim and the hadiths were Rabbinic Jewish, Manichean, Zoroastrian, Monophysite and Nestorian oral traditions that they compiled and then they attributed them to the authors we know today of they also built the Kaaba and the rest that exists in Mecca and Medinah that we know today. Quran is the compilation of revelations from God to Muhammad. All companions agree on this. They all glorify the revelations received by Muhammad. So they agreed to collect them in one book. What you tell is what happened in the process of collecting them in one book. Which was then standardized by Uthman. And we are very grateful to Uthman for what he has done so that Muslims have one standard Quran that he has standardized. You have said that Uthman appointed Zaid who then worked in a committee to compile the Quran. Why Zaid? Because he was young, Muhammad's secretary, so he was appointed for this project. While there were already big names such as Ibn Mas'ud and Ubay bin Ka'ab who were also trusted by Muhammad to guard the Quran. The collection process was underway, and Zaid and the committee had agreed on the best collection results. Of course, both big names who felt their opinions needed to be heard more, there were some part which disagreed with the Zaid Committee. And this disagreement is recorded in the hadith or history. However, Uthman had placed his trust in the Zaid Committee compared to the protests of Ibn Mas'ud and Ubay bin Kaab. This effort must have been a complicated project and many could disagree with the final result. However, with good intentions, and to honor the Quran, Uthman had agreed to the work of the Zaid committee. And in order not to confuse the people, Uthman had asked for all the Quran notes that were not the same as the results of the Zaid Committee's compilation to be burned. And this was a very correct decision from Uthman. And we thank him for this. We may ask, what if it turns out that the burned manuscripts contain verses of the Quran that are not in the compilation of the Zaid Committee? I am sure that the Zaid Committee has examined all the manuscripts before they were burned and has ensured that their compilation is complete. This is indeed a human effort, but this is God's way of preserving His revelation to Muhammad.

That's because a lot of people use the copy developed by Egyptian Authorities in 1923. In his video What They Don't Want You To Know About The Quran's Preservation he reviews a few differences. The problem is that scans of manuscripts are not readily available to the general public. Instead, one has to buy expensive books which isn't within the reach of most people. Around 5:00 +, what is your point here? There are 114 Surahs! In The Study Quran, Nasr, pp.1020-1, he mentions the source for the father theology but this is contrary to The Gospel. Anything which contradicts scripture must be regarded as an erroneous reading therefore it was edited out correctly. Nasr does in fact explicitly mention actual variants, which are minor, from time to time. In a nutshell, The Qur'an was revealed in 7, as was The Torah, therefore it is from God. There are deeper questions such as why it is not found in 7 forms today, what that evens means, and why the text omits words, but based on this video it would seem that you are not up to the task of addressing these matters. There are two forged ayat in The Qur'an, a matter known through the most solid of the preserved hadiths and the modern research of the greatest Qur'anist, but you have not mentioned this fact which is verifiable through the protection of God upon The Qur'an; its code. The Sanaa manuscript consist of hundreds of manuscripts all of which conforms to the standard acceptable readings of the Quran including that particular palimpsest if you ignore the erased writings. Yes, there are some differences between the written versions of the Qur'an, primarily due to the different Qira'at (recitations). These differences are subtle and involve variations in spelling, diacritical marks, pronunciation, and sometimes word choice. Here's a clearer breakdown of the types of differences and which groups use which versions:
Differences Between Written Versions of the Qur'an
Minor Variations in Text:
The differences between the written versions of the Qur'an are usually minor and include:
Diacritical Marks: Variations in vowel markings or other diacritical marks, which affect pronunciation but not the consonantal skeleton of the text.
Word Choices: In a few cases, there are slight differences in word choices. For example:
In Surah Al-Fatiha (1:4), some recitations use "مَالِكِ" (Maliki, "Owner") while others use "مَلِكِ" (Malik, "King").
Spelling Variations: Certain words may have different spellings in different Qira'at. For example, "إِبْرَاهِيم" (Ibrahim) is sometimes spelled "إِبْرَهم" in certain recitations.
Regional Versions Based on Qira'at:
The different Qira'at have given rise to slightly different written versions of the Qur'an. Here are the primary ones:
Hafs an Asim (The Most Common Version):
Differences: This version follows the rules of the Hafs an Asim recitation. It is the basis for the 1924 Cairo edition, which is the most widely used written version today. Differences from other versions include diacritical marks and slight variations in wording, such as "Maliki" instead of "Malik."
Regions: Used predominantly across the Middle East, South Asia, Turkey, Southeast Asia, and most of the Muslim world.
Warsh `an Nafi' Version:
Differences: Contains slight differences in diacritical marks, spelling, and occasionally word forms compared to the Hafs version. For instance, in Surah Al-Fatiha, it reads "Maliki" instead of "Malik," and other minor spelling variations throughout the text.
Regions: Primarily used in parts of North and West Africa, including Morocco, Algeria, and parts of West Africa.
Qalun `an Nafi' Version:
Differences: Similar to Warsh but with some unique variations in diacritical marks and pronunciation rules.
Regions: Used in parts of Libya and North Africa.
Other Qira'at (Like Al-Duri, Khalaf, etc.):
Differences: These versions have slight differences in pronunciation, spelling, and word forms. However, they are less widely used today.
Regions: Historically used in specific regions or communities, but now largely replaced by the Hafs or Warsh versions.
Conclusion
Yes, there are differences between the written versions of the Qur'an, mainly due to the different Qira'at.
Great references, that just proved everything.
The narrative has more holes than Swiss cheese.

You are so easily impressed and so lethargic in your research.
@nickmansfield1 If you can rephrase your comment in such a way that it makes sense, I shall be happy to respond.
Was Quran first compiled chronologically of in the manner of rearranged verses made by Uthman .
I think the actual reason was an attempt to counter this verse:
Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.
Genesis 29:35, 49:8, 49:10)
So it is easy to see a liturgy that says that Muhammed (The Praised One) is the Father of your men, based on their understanding of this Isaiah verse.

Like the absence or addition of verses in each manuscript. The NT alone is very well documented, so much that we can tell what stories were added later to convey different ideas the writers had about Jesus and adapt his message...
@@BrennTimoteoRomeroMoreno bro that is EXACTLY what us humans call different point of view...
You do not have to worry about interpretations tho. Even with a clear text people still twist things to please their ideas so...
Similar with the Bible. Some Ethiopian churches regard the book of Enoch as canonical. Acts 8:37 has been removed since the King James Bible too. The NIV and modern translations don't have it.... btw I don't have a horse in the Quran or Bible race - just saying.
You have to understand that acts 8 : 37 is not something we try to hide so we erased it... Unlike some people
@@roniamettle3105 sure.... but the point still holds. The Bible is not infallable. It has been forked and changed.
We have cuneiform tablets, far older than the Quran, that contain text that has been preserved. The fact that they have been preserved doesn’t mean that the text itself does not contain nonsense.
And Ayesha said that some verses of the Quran were chewed and eaten by a goat and Allah could not save it.😂
prob cuz they didnt sacrifice the goat to allah
Its funny how it replicates the exact issues of the early Christians. Except the Christians didn't bother with oral tales. Everything was written down and it came down to interpretation and not actual texts itself.
You said everything was written down. Then you say it does not come from actual texts. What do you mean ?
@@roniamettle3105 The issues came from how you interpret the texts not about the texts themselves. No one argued the texts were not correct. They argued that the texts meant different things
10:20 can someone who has already committed some kind of crime in bigotry, also leave the religion???

*These subtleties have been taught in mosques* . We don't hide them neither are we embarrassed by them.
Islam was created by the Abbasids before them there was no religion called Islam or a prophet named Muhammad or a city called Mecca these were all Abbasid inventions and before them, there was a sub-sect of Judeo-Christianity that was influenced by Manichaenism and Marcionism all Ummayad rulers except Muawiyah who was a monophysite Christian were part of this Syriac Anti - trinitarian Judeo Christian sub-sect. They also were the ones who came up with this doctrine of the Quranic corpus being devine verbatim speech of god before them everyone saw it as a collection of documents discussing biblical stuff.
It’s a plausible story but possibly not complete.

@@YeahHanzo Yeah you are right i myself an Agnostic naturalist who checks his sources and a skeptic i went over all the sources and this is as true as the Big Bang theory or evolution theory or any scientific theory that is proven to be true. Islamic history needs to be revised.
That is similar to what I have concluded. From everything we have gathered about its origins, l slam must have been a non-trinitarian branch (or better sub-sect as you said) of Messianic Judaism, = early Middle Eastern Christianity.
Watch documentary on UA-cam called “Islam the untold story”. Muhammad’s name appears on Udksmic coins first time 150 years after the first Umayyad Caliph. Islam didn’t create Arabs, Arabs created Islam.
The holes are actually gaping chasms
You should do a video on the Sannaa manuscript and Ali's Quran, which apparently had suras in different order than Uthman's codex.
What is halal food?
It's food that Muslims can only eat - animals slaughtered in specific way by bleeding them out with prayers to alla while this takes place and no pork.

You have repeatedly failed to disprove the hard fact that *the chapters, verses and words order is the same from Xin Jiang to Mozambique*
The number of chapters and verses is the same from New Delhi to Pretoria.
That's because a lot of people use the copy developed by Egyptian Authorities in 1923.
In his video
What They Don't Want You To Know About The Quran's Preservation
he reviews a few differences.
The problem is that scans of manuscripts are not readily available to the general public. Instead, one has to buy expensive books which isn't within the reach of most people. However, some universities have scans of their manuscripts posted online, if you really want to know, you can look them up and match them to the Quran in your possession. It should be easy to do.

So lost and far from guidance/ May Allah guide us all. Uthman (RA) and Zaid Ibn Thabit presided over the standardization of the quranic order. The qiraat are beautiful to listen- I love listening surah shams or Najm on Khalaf an Humza. But, it’s not the eyes that are blind.

this man is very intelligent, and this proves? that only intelligent people ones the read the Quran in depth? they stop been Muslims.
My opinion is that this whole Qirat mess is because Muhammad had a weak memory and couldn't admit he messed up so he made up this esoteric concept of 7 modes
If anybody is still in doubt based on such arguments and facts I recommend this 100% verifiable evidence that Nabi Mohammad received divine revelation, and it is not exactly recent news: ua-cam.com/video/SG_3cI8j95A/v-deo.html
There are disagreements on the 114 from companions. Thats my point
But how does that square with sura 33 verse 40 which clearly states Muhammad is a father to none of you?
His name was mentioned by their Allah to recite it ,so if he has recitation different from others ,his will be more reliable
BINGO!!!
Great job I been watch you
I am not sure you can speak Urdu and you can do your program, ?
Fallible men - we know is the case. The Quran's name was not even directed by Muhammad, let alone the chapter order. All this by fallible men.
For argument’s sake, let the perfect preservation argument be true, it is still a garbage book having no special message for humanity to make it better and whatever nice things it says, its predecessors have already said them.
Like Surah 33, verse 53 among others, from uncreated, sent down final revelation and valid until the end fo times! 😂😂
O believers! Do not enter the homes of the Prophet without permission ˹and if invited˺ for a meal, do not ˹come too early and˺ linger until the meal is ready. But if you are invited, then enter ˹on time˺. Once you have eaten, then go on your way, and do not stay for casual talk. Such behaviour is truly annoying to the Prophet, yet he is too shy to ask you to leave. But Allah is never shy of the truth. And when you ˹believers˺ ask his wives for something, ask them from behind a barrier. This is purer for your hearts and theirs. And it is not right for you to annoy the Messenger of Allah, nor ever marry his wives after him. This would certainly be a major offence in the sight of Allah.
@@marc3dartist601 Mhmad made up this verse to get rid of his guests from his house. He just married Zaynab bint Jahsh and he couldn't wait any longer to do xxx with his new wife. The guests who stayed in his house for too long really annoyed him and disrupted his plan.
