- This is my piano cover of "That's the Way It is" by Daniel Lanois, and "May I (Stand Unshaken)" by D'Angelo - two songs tied to Arthur's journey in Red Dead Redemption 2. Enjoy!
I did this by ear, so I don't have any sheet music. Sorry!
You might have noticed that I haven't uploaded as much recently - that's just because I've started my master's degree in September. It's great so far, but also quite intense. So everything's fine! I just have other priorities right now. I hope you won't mind.

It's so much more heart-wrenching if you've either A. Had that horse since the beginning, or B. End with Buell, a horse that was given to you by a Hamish, a man who had quite an impact on Arthur. Hamish gave him the horse because he knew that Arthur could take care of him, I love that ending. When he and Buell die together. It's beautiful.

Tay Tay Playing as Arthur and learning to care for him so much over this games many incredible and beautiful moments created a special connection between me and him. Even though we know his death was coming, the story is written in a way that it has still made thousands of people all ages cry. It was like losing a friend. R.I.P Arthur. He will forever be in our hearts
That’s the magic of fiction. We can connect because it’s ultimately a reflection of something within us all. Arthur Morgan is honestly one of the best examples of that. A man who, at the start of the story, believes he’s fighting for a noble cause, for an idea that is bigger than himself. That’s something we all strive for, to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. But when he realizes what’s really happening, his outlook changes and then he simply fights for those he loves to keep them alive, all the time knowing that he and Dutch has put them in danger in the first place. It’s one of the great tragedies of the human experience. To have an idea you’ve fought for for so long end up being a lie, and to have those you though were the beacons of hope turn out to be crumbling pillars of ignorance, perpetuating a pipe-dream for their own gain.

I finished the game, and for the first time in my life, I regret having done it, if I had known what would happen to Arthur, one of the most human characters there has been, I would have preferred to leave it unfinished, now listen to your piano version , it makes me cry and it does not hurt, it burns me.

Didn't plan to cry so early today
I finished the game....as painful as it was. I found myself taking breaks from it as it was becoming gut wrenching to play. Now, I started a new game and dont intend to go past chapter 3, so Arthur can live. Its crazy how a game can make people feel so attached to someone who does not exist. I hope with rdr3 they give us a good ending so we know that the sacrifices John and Arthur made were not for nothing. I hope

The best mission I RDR2 was when the gang storms braitwaithe manor. But the best moment, is minutes after guarma and d’angelo takes the stage
I loved the raid on the Braithwaite manor. I also thought he said on Bronte's mansion was cool

I remember that a bug happened when Unshaken was playing and I had to restart the game, I knew it was an important moment as soon as the song started

I couldn’t believe what i saw when arthur finally found his peace. Its such an emotional moment for me personally. And its the first thing in genuinely cried over something non existent. Because for me, arthur was a real person. That i felt real connection with as i have had similar struggles as him. I just want to thank Rockstar Games for there beautiful work.

Both deserved so much more than they eventually received. I honestly cannot choose between Arthur and John. Both of them are so well written and their journeys complement one another perfectly. Arthur’s quest for redemption culminating in helping John escape, only for John to become wrapped up in the outlaw lifestyle once again due to a combination of his own mistakes and the cruel will of fate.
Arthur wanted John to settle down and look after his family, which he did for a time. However, going after that rat Micah and claiming the money from Blackwater eventually led Ross and the FBI back to Beecher’s Hope and eventually got Marston killed, which in turn led Jack down a path that neither John nor Arthur ever wanted him to take. It’s just like Arthur always said, revenge is a fool’s game.
The complete story of Red Dead Redemption is so tragic. I know it’ll likely never happen, but I’d pay good money to have the first game remastered in RDR2’s engine, with additional dialogue about Arthur (and, of course, Lumbago).
