The most incredible gaming experience I've ever had. From top to bottom, it's magical. The characters, the story, the sights, the music. Etc. The saddest part is that you can never play it for the first time, again.
@Joel yeah like imagine they make a remake for rdr 1 with rdr2 mechanics gameplay and graphics, and with extra outfits, arthurs hat, some new side missions, new dialogue about more of the gang. I would definitely pay the full 60 bucks
@Joel The issue with a full remake is that they need to choose what happens with the nominees for absoulte God forsaken retardation award such as Nigel West Dickens, Dr. MacDougal, Irish, Seth and Abraham Reyes. Do we do away with these idiots? Do we keep them? I'd be fine with just retconning the whole damn thing but I can see people getting mad.
SPOILERS - They didn’t play “That’s the way it is” because they want people to experience that perfect moment in the game when Arthur puts his hat on, after saying bye to Abigail and Sadie and the song starts playing and you just know it’s his last ride and can’t help but think about the last 60-100 hours in Arthur’s shoes and the choices you made and you even think about your own life.. It was a good choice even though that’s my favourite song.

@@18rickster18 the first game managed to really have a grip on people because of how sudden John's death was after he finally managed to be "free" and spend quality time with his family which added more to the tragedy of it. Arthur's story on the other hand, was a slow and tiring road but it was one that you felt that you had to push on for the people around you so when it finally ended, and everyone else is happy, we as the player are left with this empty feeling of satisfaction that we've done our worst, tried our best and finally it was time for us to rest.
No game has, and I don't think ever will, compare to how I felt playing this game. I can't even begin to describe how much those characters, that story, or THIS MUSIC means to me 😭😭
Trilllizard no shame buddy! im a grown man and even i cried when that time came for arthur... it was a really sad moment! this performance brought me back to that moment and i cried a bit again.
I really connected with Arthur. I laughed i cried during his Journey. When he went, he left a hole. Same kind of emptiness ive felt loosing friends and family. For me, Arthur was real, my feller and partner in crime, through good and bad. I really miss Arthur. How R* made us feel that we lost a friend is amazing .. I salute you Arthur, Rest in Peace.
one of my favorite tiny details of the entire game is that once Arthur is dead the music at the intro/press play screen is gone. during his story some ambient theme would always play and you'd hear sound that fit the nature scene that was displayed, but in the epilogue - silence... like there's an empty hole in the game that can't be filled.
It’s funny, I remember when the game was first announced and that’d it be a prequel to the first game where you play as a character that isn’t in the first game or mentioned When I heard that I went “well Arthur is going to die, why do I even want this game now?” Of course I was mostly kidding because I was obviously going to get it. But damn, my friends best it before me and went “be ready it’s sad” so I was like “yup he dies” but holy shit, part of me is super sad and hate it and wish Arthur could’ve gotten a good ending, but the other part is happy that at least Arthur died peacefully, looking at the sun, knowing he helped John and his family get to safety (although we know that goes to shit really quick)
You can replay RDR2 but the first time is the one that gets you. The acting, the story, the music. That final confrontation....wanting to kick in your TV screen to kill Micah...yeah, a deep deep game for sure.
Such a powerful & detailed game. Regardless of how you feel about the continuation of its online mode, you have to respect Rockstar for how much they pour into a project.

I miss Arthur... It sucks that out of all of the gang members, Arthur was the one that always got the short end of the stick. Contracting Tuberculosis, getting kidnapped and tortured by the O'Driscolls, getting left behind on the boat and washing ashore guarma, the past with his secret family, the fact that if Micah was not a rat and the saint denis robbery went well, he would've escaped with Mary Linton, etc. such a beatiful redemption story. I only hope we get more Arthur Morgan content as a DLC in the near future.
You can keep waiting for that DLC we will never see. Because some idiots keep giving money to Rockstar for fictional currency essentally keeping their online modes afloat
Kudos to that team that performed that ! They poured everything into it on that stage. It even seemed to shock the host on how good it was. Deservedly so, since it's a masterpiece of a game.

The most incredible gaming experience I've ever had. From top to bottom, it's magical. The characters, the story, the sights, the music. Etc. The saddest part is that you can never play it for the first time, again.
I rushed through the game, and I just... severely regret it. I should’ve taken the time to enjoy the quiet and slow parts of the game.

Why is Red Dead Redemption 2 better than Red Dead Redemption? Because if it wasn't for Arthur, there'd be no John Marston
Aaron Langham damm straight and I still play this game
Joel they hint at where Charles and Sadie go. During the credits, it shows how John killing Micah drew the law on him. Jack is uncles son😂

Mine too. Its just so beatiful
MrTShbib I related to Arthur a lot. I felt so heartbroken that my mind numbed my emotions so I couldn’t feel the pain. I felt the numbing but I fought it. Arthur Morgan, a part in my heart.

and how he regrets it and one last time he does the right thing helping john
Am I the only one who couldn’t relate much with “that’s the way it is”? I was expecting so much for Arthur’s last song and it ended up being a 4 chords cliche
when Arthur said goodbye to Tilly, that's when I started to cry, then when he said goodbye to Abigail, that's when I started bawling my eyes out
I was on the floor when John told Arthur that he's his brother
When he was telling his goodbyes to tilly and Abigail and the music began to play I nearly drowned in my own tears.

@@18rickster18 the first game managed to really have a grip on people because of how sudden John's death was after he finally managed to be "free" and spend quality time with his family which added more to the tragedy of it.
I had to play the campaign and get him back I felt super lonely in the world as John all by my lonesome
@@Legondski i know what you mean! Its Arthurs journey in what you had the privilage to take part of. It is really empty without him.
It’s funny, I remember when the game was first announced and that’d it be a prequel to the first game where you play as a character that isn’t in the first game or mentioned
When I heard that I went “well Arthur is going to die, why do I even want this game now?” Of course I was mostly kidding because I was obviously going to get it.
I did too. Such a well designed game
