I have been rocking the same countertop & similar parts for the past 2-3 years and I am at the point where I am ready for a large overhaul (probably including wooden slats this time around) so every bit of inspiration is helpful!
My search for a balanced Apple / work - pc / hardcore FPS gaming set up led me to your vid, as my main issue is that I use totally different peripherals for each and cannot just use a KVM switch. People who use a logitech MX master and keyboard combo on their mac and a gaming keyboard and gaming mouse on their PC will understand. Your vid made me realise that the missing link to allow me to hide the clutter of 2 sets on the desk is the desk shelf. It was also very helpful to see a 32” monitor stacked set up, I have them side by side and I have been considering this. Thanks again, I will be following your progress!

Ayyye 🔥. I have that tool box as well. Use to clean / dismantle my firearms as well as some storage (extra mags, EDC etc). Glad to see im not the only one with a whole toolbox in a bedroom 😂. Dope setup brother.

Haha good question. I’ve actually owned two production companies for the past ten years. Been grinding out weddings, corporate gigs and more. This is line 10 years of work built into one room haha. So I guess I got all of this from tons of hard work and discipline
There are so many people that will pay you good money to do simple things that they just don't want to do themselves. The good thing is that you don't have to actually do the work yourself

Great setup. You are the first person I've seen talk about the Steelcase chair. Everyone else talks about the Herman Miller chair but Steelcase makes some of the best products.

@@BeardedLuke I used to work at a Steelcase Dealer and sat in the Leap V1 chair for years then the Series 1 chair for the last few years I was there. I now have a Series 1 chair for my work-from-home setup and looking to buy another one for my sneaker room.

When you build your new pc, I recommend the lian li dynamic evo case. Its one of the few cases that is reversible, meaning you could have the components exposed on the right side of the case 👍

Love the video man!!! im currently making a similar desk setup with pc and mac just wondering if your monitors have 2 cables running out of them 1 into the pc and 1 into the dock ?
So the monitor I do use for the MacBook has one usbc cable going into the dock. It also has one display port cable going into the pc. I don’t use the top display for the Mac.

Great setup and love the separation of spaces! Why not just use the Nuphy for both Windows and Mac to reduce peripherals? Then you won’t need the Magic Keyboard
So I actually bought it for both! But have had some issues wirelessly with it. I actually think it’s defective lol. So I’m the meantime I’ve been switching back a fourth!

Is it easy to keep on staring the upper monitor over a long period? still thinking dual side by side or like your setup.
Well I only use that monitor for like discord, chat when I stream, really never use it for more than 10 min. I think it’s perfect for just being extra space to put stuff thats not on your main display. I mainly did it to save space.
How was your experience getting the Spectrum? I’ve spent so long looking for a good hybrid monitor that doesn’t look like shit but they all seem to have huge strings attached, it’s been really annoying. Did you get it with no problems? Do you have any alternative recommendations?
Honestly I had to buy the spectrum on eBay because at the time it was a 3 month wait! Atm I don’t have any other comparable options that offer the exact same stats.

How did you set up the windows Mac hybrid setup with the same monitors? And how did you do the cable management?
All the links are in there. But the windows computer is connected to the minister via display port. And the Mac is connected via a thunderbolt hub via thunderbolt 4

So my pc doesn’t actually use the speakers at all. I plug the speakers into the thunderbolt hun that I use for for my MacBook. I strictly use a headset for the PC.

How do you get audio to your speaker from your mac and pc?
The audio for my macbook comes by plugging the speaker cable into my thunderbolt hub, the PC i just use headphones, those speakers don't actually work with the PC with how I have it setup
Nice setup! Do you see any image quality difference on your main monitor between mac and windows? Because I'm looking for a hybrid monitor and I currently have a xiaomi 34 ultrawide and the image is great on windows but the sharpness and colors on mac are really bad. I'm using a dp-c cable and it supports a 144hz which is great for mac but I dont even use my mac on monitor because of the image quality. So I'm looking for something close to retina but something that is also great for gaming on windows. Thanks!
I actually see no difference between mac and PC, it looks just as sharp on both. I do use a paid software on my mac called betterdisplay, and it helps me tweak my macbook to look sharper, this is as close to retina as it gets from what I have found. And thats coming from a guy who used a 5k imac for 7 years then a 5k LG monitor for 3 years.
