I did some digging and turns out it's not as serious as everyone makes it out to be to have it setup the way I have it. (I could be wrong but YOLO LOL)

    the IDASEN containers are nice and well built, but not worth the money, especially if the money would be better invested in the IDASEN desk. Miles above the BEKANT, with Linak motors, one of the best in industry, and even in the top height I couldn't make it wobble.

    • @ShaqHossain
      @ShaqHossain  Рік тому +1

      Honestly my 2 main reasons for the IDASEN was the open top that I initially used for my DAC/AMP and headphone storage and the wheels.
      I think at the time the IDASEN didn’t exist/ have a motorized version for the desk (roughly 6-7 years ago) or it was out of budget for me at the time. I got the shorter version of the BEKANT for budget reasons and kinda regret it now because of how constrained I feel if i want to use the sides of the desk vs directly centred

    How are you sharing peripherals across both devices? I'm using a USB switcher right now but it's kinda jank. I do my machine learning development on my work issued 14 inch macbook pro but I do everything else on my desktop PC.

    • @ShaqHossain
      @ShaqHossain  Рік тому

      Dealing with peripherals is always jank IMO and it’s one reason why I don’t share my peripherals across my devices but if I did i’d probably use a USB/KVM switcher like you said you have rn. Also since I use TouchID frequently when working on my MacBook so i just stow the mechanical keyboard and use the Magic Keyboard when needed.
      In terms of mice I have a MX Master 3 that I can swap between devices wirelessly that wasn’t shown in the video because I brought it into the studio while I was shooting some client work and forgot it there.

      It's around $14k-15k Canadian without any of the gear I use to film videos. 😭 TBH I didn't even realize it was anywhere near that since it's been growing over 4-5 years.
      The computers were around $4,500 (MacBook Pro) and $2,250 (PC) so those two make a pretty big chunk of the price tag.

    Hello bro!!, Amazing video really, but I will change some things in your setup or make some sugestions.
    First, the Windows pc y much hardwere for only Valorant, I supose what you also play other games and edit other things in this pc, but is my opinion.
    Second, the Scarlet Solo is good for the MV7, but for the Sundara is better choice go to Hifi equipement, around 200$ or 350$ in a Dac/Amp is more than enougth for this headphones.
    Third, I recomend for you edit with the Sundaras, why the Airpods are conected to your Macbook since BT in AAC (320kbps/s) and the audio are very compress, in the other way with the Sundaras you have since 1500kbp/s or higher.
    Only are observations bro, after this is a amazing setup, congratulations.

    • @ShaqHossain
      @ShaqHossain  Рік тому

      Thanks for watching and your comment!
      For the PC I need it to run at 280hz since I play at 280hz and I tend to sit around 300-400 frames during gameplay. I built this one based off my old PC which had a 5800X and a 2060
      I agree with what you’re saying about powering the Sundara (I actually excluded that part from this video as I felt it was getting a little too detailed and long to talk about) I have a Monolith Liquid Spark and a Topping E30 that I stashed away when I needed to make space on my desk and reduce the amount of cables going to my PC
      And once again I agree with you about the Sundara being better for editing and I’ll usually use them when I start to focus on my sound during the process.
      Every single one of your points were really great and helpful! (Thanks for specifying the audio bitrates it’s great to know the exact digits)

    • @ShaqHossain
      @ShaqHossain  Рік тому

      Haha yeah, you kind of get to a point where there’s nothing really “new” on the market so things start looking similar at the core of it all.
      The newest thing I’ve seen is people adding small 15-18 inch touch screens into their setups which is pretty cool in terms of browsing files IMO or just scrolling through pages.
      Most of the things you listed end up becoming the “norm” because of the versatility it adds. For example one situation in my case: when I use the table to shoot photo or video I can re-adjust the height of the table rather than fiddle with the tripod column or legs.

    very nice setup, so clean.
    the only thing i would like to point out is the orientatione of the aio.
    if you front mount the radiator like that the pocket of air in the cooler will go in the intake-exaust zone of the 240 mm.
    i would reccomend top mounting but since you have an itx case you should definitely flip the radiator upside down or air bubbles could go in the pump affecting noise emissions and performances.
    If you want a more accurate analysis of the topic you should check this two videos (those two guys saved my ek aio rgb 240 mm and my system)
    ua-cam.com/video/BbGomv195sk/v-deo.html

      Glad you enjoyed! And for sure I had a few comments regarding this already but like they said in the video it’s still “okay” as long as the top of the rad is higher than the pump itself but the ideal position would be with the tubing going to the lower portion of the case.
      I might need be doing a case swap in a few weeks so I’ll do it all at the same time!

    • @ztingo
      @ztingo Рік тому +1

      @@ShaqHossain For the kraken the pump is located on the radiator where the tubes connect in, so flipping the radiator would essentially take it from worst case straight to best case scenario. They were right to say its fine if the radiator is higher than the cpu block, but currently your pump is the highest component. Fortunately it looks like there is enough room to flip and fit it in your current case but if you are going to swap anyway then definitely re-arrange it along with that.

      @@ztingo Oh damn thanks for letting me know my dude! I didn’t realize that the pump was in the radiator block at all. Appreciate that you let me know. I’ll definitely be flipping that regardless of a case swap now.

    Can you make a video on your MIC setup with settings. I have the same mic but the audio always comes out low even with high gain. High gain makes the noise more staticky

    • @ShaqHossain
      @ShaqHossain  Рік тому +1

      What interface do you use and how far do you position the mic from you when speaking? Ideally you should get the mic as close as possible.
      The audio in this video was recorded on a Zoom H6 with the Shure MV7 and there’s also post processing on the audio. I boosted the gain in post, added a compressor and a few other filters.
      2 possibilities to what could cause this that comes to mind right now:
      1) There’s an issue with your XLR cable. I just noticed the 12 ft XLR I use at my desk has some static so I need to replace it. (Tested it against a 6ft XLR I had laying around) Also apparently it’s possible that your cable isn’t balanced and there are resistors in line so just make sure to check that as well. I haven’t experienced this myself so I’m not too familiar with this phenomenon
      2) If it’s less of a high pitch static sound and more of a hissing it might be the interface picking up the noise floor as you crank the gain. (for example I notice the noise floor on my Zoom H6 and Rode NTG4+ when using a 25ft cable when i turn the dial past 5-6 ) solution for this is a different interface or adding something like a cloud lifter in-line before you get to your interface.
      Hopefully it’s resolved with just swapping your cables. I’ll definitely make a video covering audio options in the future, adding it to the list now!

      Not too familiar with how the GOXLR mini handles the audio but 1000% set up some filters on OBS. They make a HUGE difference and clean up your audio.
