I recently had 2 neighbors - neither were section8….and they were both disgustingly filthy people…🤯🤬🤢🤮…. Blessedly they were both evicted around August 2023… My adjacent unit + 3 others were affected by their filthy habits… I was constantly fighting roaches 🪳…. Since September-October 2023…I believe I have seen less than 10 live roaches. I live in South Florida in the tropics- roaches are a part of life…. But I shouldn’t have to deal with them in multiples of 10 every single day. I believe some people get so overwhelmed that eventually they can’t keep up…and are either too lazy, too mentally ill, too physically ill, or a huge combination of the above factors + either being too embarrassed to ask for help or have alienated everyone in their lives that no one is willing to help them anymore. Btw: it is NOT just section8/poor people who struggle with filthy habits…this issue crosses all socioeconomic lines. Rich 💰💰 people just have the financial resources to hire other people to maintain and clean their homes for them. That is the only difference. It is a depressing vicious circle for those who struggle with inside the limited US’s underfunded and understaffed AND extremely confusing and intentionally complicated social services system.
I live in a 3 family house. All the tenants that lived above me for the last 20 years has been section 8. They all absolutely left my landlord's unit in shambles. The landlord always worked with me on everything because zi never gave her an issue, and kept her place in great condition.
If they were illegals they would have no problem getting a place to live or a hotel room.
He claims the place is not dirty and bug infested. Dirty people never seem to see what others see. Dudes place sounds like a health hazard and he’s blind to it. He’s obviously always lived like that 🤢
Government handouts will go down as one of the biggest failures of our society. Rent control sounds great until rats are eating at your table. The government is not your friend. They want your vote

It’s a carabiner, not a caliper haha. A carabiner is used as a clip for climbing; a caliper is a tool used to measure widths/dimensions.

There’s something everyone should know: You can pay rent your entire life, or at some point, you have to work hard. You have to work 3 jobs, and put in 80 hours a week, to pay off a very cheap, small house. It doesn’t matter what kind of house. You never have to pay rent again, and your property taxes are 1/12 of rent. No one can ever get ahead, paying rent. If you ever want a break, you have to work hard. You have to do it at some point. You should make the decision, and do it as young as possible, to make the rest of your life easier! Don’t go online. Don’t watch TV. Just work 3 jobs until you get the cheapest house you can get, but, paid off! No rent, or mortgage. Then, you will be able to save money. You could probably buy a really bad house, for what you are paying rent. Bad doesn’t matter. You can’t save for a good house until you end rent! 1 step at a time. Living in luxury is expensive. Gotta do some hard living first! Everyone should make up their mind to do the hard work as soon as possible!
Or you can just be lucky and be born to wealthy parents - to be fair that’s how a lot of people do it, no hard work required

Have you ever thought about the two choices: Would you rather work to live or live to work?
Would you rather work so that you can live and enjoy life how you can from the money you make?
Or would you rather live so that you can work and have little to no other focus than work?
Because you are suggesting that one's life should revolve solely around work for an extended period of time. No time for rest or any enjoyment. Time spent enjoying life is time not spent working.
Work at the expense of all other things is a very outdated concept. That has been shown to be very unhealthy both physically and mentally.

Hey dude blue light bug zappers kill bed bugs and many or more other household pests. They are not costly to buy or run and are great at killing flies mosquitoes and as I previously stated most other pets including spiders.

If Elaina spent as much time working hard (overtime or a second job) as she did trying to get out of paying, she'd be better off. Instead she got behind or rent (and car payments since it was repossessed.). She makes bad decision after bad decision, but then expects the taxpayer to bail her out. She should have had a reliable beater car (bet she didn't) that she could afford, instead she now gets to pay for Uber (good financial decision). She's young, I worked two jobs during my work history several times. If her "family" includes kids, she needs to go after the father (or fathers) NOT the taxpayer. The system is totally messed up.
If I had a couch that was full of bugs, I wouldn't just keep it in my home until I got a new couch lol. You 100% know he still just sits on that couch.
