Absolutely beautiful cabinet. I wish I knew how to do a retro pi. When it comes to that stuff I'm dumb. I could do the cabinet work even wire up everything but programming the thing forget it.

Beautiful build! I had both SNES and Genesis as a kid and I loved my Genesis more! Loved RPGs and Genesis had Might and Magic! I also had Streets of Rage which I loved! Great video once again!

Favorite genesis games of all times, fatal labyrinth, Arcus oddesy, golden axe, moonwalker, shinobie, d&d, star control, starflight. I might have to visit the sights for art and markee. That turned out great! Did you have DIYretro print the vinyl for the control panel or did you get all the printing done via GameOnGraphix?
Brian Wahoff great question ... nick did the artwork for every part of the cab you saw in the video. GameOnGraphix did the printing of the graphics. I just bought the bare wood CP from DIY. I hope this helps and thanks for watching.

That thing came out real nice. It's too bad Sega can't make these. Seag can make a killing. They would do something stupid like higher atgames to make it .

I kinda of like the idea of system themed arcade cabs with games to match. When you have a cab with 50,000 games friends who come over and try it seem to get lost with so many options sometimes .
Exactly, its worse with kids they lose interest with that many options quickly. But yes I like themed cabinet ideas like that too. I saw one from another guy that was strictly Super Mario games only.
Kane Dash I couldn’t agree more with builds that have too many games. You literally never make a choice because it’s too overwhelming. This build exclusively has SEGA genesis games, master system, 32x, and SEGA CD. 👍🏻

Wow, I'm very jealous here. Now I want to head to Home Depot and build one. Very sweet cade there sir. Love the Genesis artwork and marquee. On my megapi case, I had to install the cooling fan. Is the pi image a dedicated Genesis only??

The joysticks and buttons you bought, would it be possible to use them on an original one Arcade1UP cabinet? I bought a Galaga Arcade1UP for my dad, but he hates the joystick and buttons that came with that and I was hoping to find something that was a drop in replacement vs having to redrill stuff.

Wow, awesome setup. I really like the Raspberry Pi case. Have you tried Sonic on there? I'm not sure I would like playing Sonic with an arcade style controller. Streets of Rage looks awesome though.
Hey man, first off... thanks for watching! Sonic is actually not bad with the arcade controls. Streets of rage is so much fun to play this way, especially with another person. There are some games that don't translate well just because of the time you need to invest in them. That's when you need to pull up the bar stool. Thanks again for watching!

How much did all this run you? I'm poor so might not be an option for me. I would love just a streets of rage cabinet with 1-3 and streets of rage remake. Also a separate cab that just plays both eternal champions games.
I built something similar although minus all the side art. Mine has custom kick plate graphics, the retro pi set up, custom led buttons custom stick and light up marquee all that plus the cabinet has set me back a little over $500.00.
Assuming he wasn't sponsored his would likely have cost about $600.00 or so. That custom art is sooooo expensive! Cool but expensive. Still worth it though because you still can't build an arcade for that price.
Did the graphics guy send you files with everything already sized for the cab? I want to order some overlays for my SFII arcade1up but I can't figure out what sizes I need. Great job, I'm sending this to my golden axe obsessed buddy haha.
That's what was awesome about it. I gave him the ideas, he came up with the design (gave me proofs along the way) and it was all sized for the Arcade1up. He provided a final .psd file that I was able to simply upload to www.gameongrafix.com and that was it. He gave full instructions on how to upload it and size it per the questions that gameon asks. It was pretty easy. I will say this... I think the designer is a 1 man show so be patient with him. It's worth it as he's fairly affordable and his work is just WAY better than anything else I've seen out there. I hope this helps. Thanks so much for watching ans supporting the channel.

That's simply awesome (Lots of smart talented guys on UA-cam that make all these cool custom Arcade Cabinets..... Very stupid question to ask how easy is it to put together those 1up Machines (I want to get the MK Trilogy 1up Machine but, I've always been horrible as far as putting stuff together
Duckman 1979 Super easy brotha 25 35 mins tops just use a Power Drill and gently cuz the material ain’t that strong on the arcade 1ups

Amazing job man I love it, I wish I could make one just like that myself as well but I was a huge Sega Genesis fan also because I was 14 years old when the Sega Genesis came out and I played the first Nintendo a lot before that but when the Sega Genesis came out with its improved graphics and three buttons compared to two I thought it was the greatest thing ever and that was the Heyday for video games for me really as a kid growing up because after that I did get a Super Nintendo but I never got into it as much as I did the Sega Genesis even though it was an amazing system and I did play the street fighter two games on it a lot and some other games also I never got a whole bunch of games for it like I did the Sega Genesis but amazing job man really WOW!

I wish they had a "builders kit" that would be awesome! It's been mentioned to them before. I'm just not sure they could build a business model around it that works. If wave 2 goes well and the modding community continues to grow, they just might! :-) Thanks again for watching and supporting the channel!

@@battleaxe4099 yeah microcenter's DIY kits are designed to be very similar to gameroomsolutions.com/shop/32-arcade-cabinet-kit/. I think retro ralph did a video with the 32" arcade kit a few weeks ago
Looks sick bro. Do you know if he works on bigger arcade cabs for bezels ? I have a 32 inch Recroommasters sit down unit but they do not do bezels.
He's really small scale. I think Nick is just a one man team, it wouldn't hurt to ask though. He's a super talented guy so shoot him and email and see. I'm actually waiting for him to give me his portal page where you can submit artwork requests. I will broadcast something out to the community once I have it.

What happened to Arcade Design’s website, did he change to a different site?
Unfortunately he stopped doing artwork for the community. A few nasty customers and he called it quits. The internet can be tough and be called it quits. It sucks because he’s extremely talented.
