@@RetroRalph it is yet another one of Cave's awesome shmups. If you like Guwange I highly recommend that you give the rest of their library a go. I was just playing the arcade versions of Espgaluda, and Dodonpachi on my retropie and then switched over to my PC to play the PS2 ports of Espgaluda and Dodonpachi Dai-Ou-Jou and they were all glorious! I also highly recommend that you play the arcade version of Konami's Salamander 2 that only released in Japan until it was eventually included in both a PS1 Salamander collection as well as a PSP Salamander collection. I'd love to just mount my 21'' monitor that I use for my retropie on an articulating vesa arm mount onto my wall so that I could easily switch between vertical and Horizontal orientations for all the amazing shmups!
Great video. You should really take the plunge and get a real jamma arcade cabinet with a CRT monitor. I love arcade emulation, and with a CRT it looks perfect. Plus you can use it to play your jamma arcade PC boards.
Last game you tried is Guwange, classic Bullet Hell action by cave... If you like Guwange, theres a ton of other Cave games that will be right up your alley, try Donpachi, Dodonpachi, EspRaDe, Espgaluda 1 and 2, ProGear, Deathsmiles, Ibara, Mushihimesama, Mushihimesama Futari, Muchi Muchi Pork, Fever SOS and so on... They are all absolutely awesome... And btw... great and interesting video as usual, keep it up!

I'm pretty sure you didn't need to rotate the monitor. The setup menu is software based, so you should be able to hold or press the test button on startup and in the menus you will see a screen flip mode in there. The newer multi-boards don't have the DIP settings that the older 60 in 1s do.
@@RetroRalph Bummer! Are you sure there are no DIP switches hidden somewhere? On my Game Elf I almost missed them under the plastic next to the Test button.

@@RetroRalph you might also check into a card that has the japanese developer "cave" shoot em up games. They are more recent (late 90s early 2000) and look pretty good.

I wonder when you go back to the 60 in 1. What you do with the monitor orientation? You can adjust that in the 60 in 1 or you have to flip the monitor again? Want to know cause I'll build a vertical with those two boards using a switch.

The game elf has a ton of cool games compared to the 60 in 1, but some say it has input lag, sound lag etc because it's not on a CRT.

Did you have to configure anything with the screen or was it just plug in the Cart and it was ready to go. I have my galaga 1up modded for the 60 in 1. I was just going to use the jamma set up already in place and just swap carts?
Btw, do you anything about odroids? Heard they’re better than raspberry pi’s. Supposedly, they run Dreamcast,ps2,psp,ps1 and Saturn games way better than raspberries. Was hoping you’d know something. Was gonna get and make my first arcade setup by watching your and other channels but I wanna make sure I get the right board for this.
I usually focus on Arcade Hardware, RaspberryPi, PC's and Pandora's box. I also do a lot of these one off boards from China just because they're fun to play with. a pandora box 6 with fba roms is the best way to play shmups on a tate arcade cab

The version of the board I have does not have an option to rotate the screen, I think they have changed this on future air attack board revisions.
