i think thundercat needs an episode
Hey maybe next you can do either Fieldy of KoRn or Paul Gray of Slipknot
Once again man you killed it. I believe I already mentioned this in part 1, but I would absolutely love a Chris Squire bass rig rundown. He had quite an awesome collection of basses, amps, and effects throughout his career.
I have two recommendations/suggestions, Toshiya from Dir En Grey would be both the heaviest artist and arguably the most diverse and I've seen him use a whole lot of different basses live and in video so it'd be a great topic for a big video/series. Dean Bernardini from Chevelle is my underrated tone monster with some really cool uses of fuzz and delay I'd also love to see covered.
Dean’s tone on TTOTCDUI was so beefy
Meh
Not a huge fan od Mudvayne but Soften The Glare is really awesome! Thanks for digging this up Alfie :)
A wonderful rundown of Ryan’s recent rigs (try saying that 10 times). I can’t wait to see who you’ll cover next, I’d personally really enjoy Frank Bello, Shavo Odadjian, or John Myung
Thanks a bunch Ryan, so glad you enjoyed the series. Frank and Shavo are top picks! Great suggestions, I'll look into John!
Shavo would be awesome, I'd love to know more about that silver Thunderbird he used to play
Great Job with covering Ryan and his bass gear. You really did your due diligence with your research.
Might I suggest if you are going to continue the “bass rig” series, Steve Digiorgio would be awesome one to do.
Great videos! Had no idea he was a guest on a podcast. Going to check it out now!
I’ve always wanted a Warwick Thumb, I just got back from New York in January, I wish I’d known Warwick was there when I went. Always loved the bass but didn’t know where they were.
Previous video you mentioned suggestions for more bass players to cover, would love to see an Alex Webster of Cannibal Corpse video. 👌 Merry Christmas
What a great video. It really is amazing how simple his setups always are. But I guess a bass with a very distinctive tone like a Thumb and a unique playing style like Ryan's goes a long way when for great and instantly recognizable bass tone.
Wonderful video as always, dude!
It's crackers (and a lil' scary) how far you go into researching, but your end results are always a joy to watch!
Love the content, keep up the great work, mate!
(Also sidenote, but a rig on Oliver Riedel would be bonkers, though a challenge, there's barely anythin' on the guy)
i would love to see a Steve Di Giorgio breakdown!
Great video Alfie!! I’m kinda sad that Ryan is all done on here, but “ the show must go on” maybe I know you don’t like him to
Much but “John Myung”? Or Conner Green from Haken we appreciate all the time you put into these! I know I certainly do appreciate it. Let’s get that season 2 with you and Rodney crankin!! That always made my Thursday nights better! 🤘🤘
Great vid as usual. I was super stoked to finally get to see Mudvayne on their summer tour with Rob Zombie. Ryan sounded amazing as always. For your next video I'll never not suggest Alex Webster because he's my favorite, but Paul Gray is the reason I started playing bass. Either one of those guys would be my next pick.
Can't wait.
Nailed it, Alfie! I would love to see you cover the basses and rigs of Fishbone's Norwood Fisher, also a Warwick endorsee. Also Doug Wimbish, Nick Beggs or Trevor Dunn would be great choices. Thanks!
Cracking bit of research and video as always. I'd love to see Billy Gould and GC Green featured - both fairly minimal players but very influential.. Here's hoping!
As the Saga of Ryan Martine concludes, I can't wait to see what other bass player's saga begins
Absolutely! Any suggestions for who you'd like to see Ellie?
@@WhichBass I would like to see you do an episode on Brian Marshall of Creed/Alter Bridge
@@EllieNotSoSmelly Interesting suggestion, thanks Ellie I'll see what I can do. Thanks also for joining the chat earlier, I appreciate it!
I’d love to see a breakdown of Eddie Jackson from Queensryche ..That would be amazing. 🙏🏻
My suggestions are the same: Billy Gould and Sam Rivers, but I have a question: have you considered cover artists not from Metal/Hard Rock? Cause I got the idea from recently listening to HAIM and Maneskin
+1 for Billy Gould!
Awesome vid
Thanks as always COT! Good to see you in the chat tonight.
I have a one! Marco Hietala of Nightwish fame. Now when he's back and healthy its fitting, i think.
It'd be awesome to see a rig rundown for Rob Fioretti
I would say the vid is almost perfect, but I’m almost 100% positive, that you can see the Warwick rig behind Ryan already on the mudvayne tours in 2009, anyway amazing job!!
That's right! It's mentioned in part 1 😎

Loved learning about Ryan's gear, I'm gonna still stick with my previous suggestions of Roger Waters, Paul McCartney and John Entwistle but I'm also gonna throw in Heath from X Japan. Definitely a cool band and I'd love to see some stuff on him, and maybe Dusty Hill from ZZ Top as well
Brilliant suggestions Andrew, I do fancy breaking out into the classics, good call! I think Entwistle will kill me but the others have a fair shot! 😅
@@WhichBass Makes sense, it'd still be a cool vid nonetheless but I'm still looking forward to whoever you talk about next
I just want to try Ryan's Fedora or any Fedora. I know I can't afford it, but I bet it plays smoooooth...
The #1
Can we have Alex webster on the rig rundown plsss :)))
It is a Darkglass 212 actually ;)
Still waiting on that Jimmy Bain video... Or Jerry Only of Misfits perhaps...👀
Please do a video on Chi Cheng of Deftones 🙏🏽
I just want to say, Warwick should have gave him a signature model 15 years ago. But they didn’t, I love my thumb but there are things that should change (I have an ‘05 thumb 5 string). I don’t blame him switching to Fodera.
I have a request.
Joey DeMaio Of Manowar 🤘🤘🤘🤘
I’d like to see a know your bass player for Robert Deleo
Eugene from Jinjer, please.
know your bass on Al Cisneros PLEASE
Chi Cheng Know Your Bass Player, please Alfie
Doug pannick of Kings x man review this 73 yrs power house bassist
I can see u doing one of me when you're like 55
"Literally all this guy uses is a p bass and an svt"
good average bassist...... not deserving a fodera as a signature for sure.....a 8000$ signature bass for this kind playing ....no
lol
