Another detail I noticed is when Cal has one and double blade stances equipped and is using one blade the other half of the light saber is in his belt instead of being connected and just turned off like in the first game
I noticed that too. I saw a clip of someone switching from single to double and the animation looked super clean. I like that change
I’m slightly confused by this, because in some of the cross guard saber gameplay, it showed the saber with both ends of the lightsaber attached and cal was using it with a huge handle, but in the Jedi temple gameplay (when single blade and cross guard were equipped), it only had the top half of the lightsaber

@@magicman_4perhaps the crossguard saber will use the double bladed hilt because of the design? I mean this because the crossguard will have heavier attacks and if the hilt seems heavier it might make more “sense” in design.
@@magicman_4 I heard it was a customization option since some players liked full hilt while others didn’t but take that with a huge grain of salt.
Yo that droid that was talking about the dilemma he was in and Cal responding to that is such a great but small detail to the game. Now I REALLY wanna try to look for the smaller stuff in the game. This is something I’m genuinely excited about and that says a lot too.
It shows that Respawn put a lot of effort into this game
Once again proving that with enough time and dedication, any game can be great.
I think the reason white is a customization option for the lightsaber is because cal healed the kyber crystals from Trilla’s lightsaber that he took after their fight on Bogano and Cere used when they stormed the fortress on Nur.
Sorry to say that’s not true but the reason is simply because it’s a game and they amwant us to have more customisation options

@@ked49 the game is canon, and blue is Cal’s canonical colour. Unless you think there’s a chance a live action Cal could rock up with a mullet and a 70s porn tache in a live adaptation too, because they’re both in the game.
It’s purely extra customisation.

Relating to 25, the spin is actually something that was in Fallen Order, though it appeared under different circumstances. If you were to press the direction on the d-pad of your currently active lightsaber while near an enemy, Cal will perform a spin. I hope they kept that mechanic as it was fun to "taunt" your enemies with it.

They have kept it, I couldn’t tell you specifically where, but I’ve definitely seen Cal spin the double bladed saber in this gameplay footage the same he would in the first game.
Trilla also does the obi-ani spin with her double bladed saber in the various boss fights as to taunt Cal.
There's a sweet transition animation between stances, I noticed when he goes from single to double-bladed, he twirls the hilt in one hand and flips the switch. It's fn dope.

6:19 I’m pretty sure we saw this creature outside of Jabba’s palace in rotj.
It could be a Worrt.
There's a few things I am still wanting to know if they implemented in this one.
1) Robes and hoods. I hope we can unlock more traditional Jedi robes/hoods other than just the Obi-Wan pre order bonus. Also I heard we can change our gears colors, so I'm wondering if we can do a full black Luke outfit.
2) More iconic movie sabers. I hope we can create more iconic movie sabers or sabers from other IP's. Like I want to create the Starkiller saber with the exposed Kyber crystal.
3) In story, will there be more enemies throughout the map this time around or do we have to do the meditate respawn to have enemies to fight.
4) Will we start the game off already powerful with the all Force talents we learned from Fallen Order, or will we have to unlock double jump, wall run, force freeze, BB-1 splice etc all over again.
5) Lastly, how does the blaster stance work? We have yet to see gameplay of Cal using the blaster.

1) I don't see why not. Would honestly be a pretty big waste to have so many new customization options & gear pieces but no stuff for the fans that wanna go more traditional.
2) Pretty sure that's a given, although not so much on the bit concerning Star Wars that ain't canon (unfortunately). I'm sure they'd discuss the possibility but I doubt they'd prioritize non-canon stuff.
3) I really wanna see if they're gonna do another similar system to the bounty hunters one they had for JFO. I loved that I found these completely unexpected encounters as I backtracked during late-game. It would be insane if they also added patrolling high-level enemies of that sort...
4) I think they wanna keep Cal's progression more solid than, say, in games like God of War where you coincidentally lose all the powers from your previous adventure and have to start fresh. That said, new metroidvania-styled unlocks are gonna be featured yet again - like the grappling hook or the animals and other transportational means granting access to new areas! Looks like a few of the purchasable skills from JFO are gonna be innately "unlocked" from the get-go.
5) I believe they are still under NDA when it comes to discussing most of the things pertaining the story and the other 2 stances. Somebody talked about the blaster stance very little nonetheless. Something along the lines of it having an ability that functions similarly to Dead Eye from RDR or also having specialized ammo like frenzy rounds. My estimation on it's core usage would be that melee is still a heavy requirement because it may be the only way to replenish ammo - limited as it may already be, for balancing reasons. Again, personal speculation.
It looks like all the force abilities from the first game are available at the start. Lightsaber moves and special techniques may need to be unlocked again
I heard he’s a bit stronger than when fallen order ended but I’m sure there’s still a ton of cool new skills to unlock
@Mk Otaid They're not under NDA for the blaster stance, they were just never allowed to play it. A developer did play it on a big screen though and that's where the information comes from.
Another detail which I like that I noticed in 0.25 playback speed was that when Cal gets killed by the Rancor, some blood shoots out of him which is great when you realize that the first game was rated T and had just a few swears and one bit of blood while this game is embracing the teen rated side

Huh... I wonder if choosing pretty worn condition for materials like Copper/Bronzium/Orichalc (-Bronze/Brass) etc. it also introduces a nice patina on your lightsaber hilt. I know I'd like mine having some of that sweet greenish corrosion looking like an ancient relic!
6:19 it's a creature called a Wart and I believe the first time we saw one was in Maz's castle but there was also a similar creature in Jabbas palace

The book does make it seem like Cal does enjoy killing stormtroopers which makes me wonder if he will struggle with the dark side in this game.

Ashoka mods are perfect for the game. White lightsabers, duel wield I hope mods get done quickly for the pc version.

When cancelling with LB does cal cancel into a parry/block or is it just a cancel? Like if I press it before an enemy attacks do I have to press it again to parry or can I time the cancel into a parry

That 8gb VRAM minimum for pc is kind of brutal
Yeah high resolution textures are all the rage these days, unfortunate because Nvidia continues to lock higher capacity memory behind very expensive cards. One thing that AMD has a lot better of a product for.
I still don’t quite fully understand it though, I’ve been playing fallen order again the past few weeks in my 6gb 2060 at max settings 1440p still getting a solid 60fps no stutters, so will it really matter that much?
@@smilypenguin well the PS5, and Xbox series X have I believe 16gb of memory that can be shared by a texture pool. For games I've worked on, the texture pool was around 6GB to 7GB, so then that leaves only so much room for other things. Depending on your resolution and the number of render targets that number can balloon super fast.
Not to mention, everytime you double resolution you quadruple memory usage. Well sort of, it depends on compression settings among other things.

Did you notice when you are in beard we dont have it but in hairstyles we have color lock option,is the same as we have for clothing. Do you think we can unlock color to change on hair? as same what we can unlock to have for the clothing…

That saber is bombastic
You could execute the Obi ani spin at any time in Fallen Order you just have to press the Lightsaber deactivation button while you are still in combat. The AI won’t turn the saber of and does a little Obi Ani spin instead.
A little detail I've noticed after going back and playing Fallen Order before Survivor comes out, is that Cal seems do be a lot more buff looking. Like his shoulders are wider and his arms are bigger, and overall he just looks physically stronger than he did in the first game. I just thought it was a pretty interesting detail and shows how Cal has grown in the years between the two games
Yeah I noticed that too! Cal was definitely more scrawny looking in fallen order, which makes sense cause he was younger and more inexperienced
@@slightlygloomy4378 Yeah! I also noticed that he just looks a lot older, which makes sense as Survivor is 5 years after Fallen Order, like his face looks a lot sharper and a bit longer, plus the beard adds to it

8:28 It's hard to tell really but it very well could be a Chiss I just don't see the piercing red eyes they all have. My guess is it is a Pantoran which we did see a few in Jedi Fallen Order on Bracca/The Partisans and The Clone Wars but I don't see any yellow face paint on this one.

Pretty sure that's a Pantoran, not a Chiss. The Chiss aren't really in the main Galaxy, they come from the Unknown Regions. So unless Koboh is IN the Unknown Regions, I doubt that's a Chiss.
It would be really cool if one of Cals head cosmetics was a clone trooper helmet.

I highly doubt chests would work any differently than they did before, don’t fix what ain’t broke. I think the idea of finding your own items to customize with along with store exclusives gives you the best of both worlds in terms of customization and makes obtaining items fresh and exciting

Not a fan of only 2 stances, maybe there will be a upgrade you cam get to use more, though in fallen order we only had 2. 3 including that one duel split attack

One thing I was wondering is can you kill those random NPC's instead of taking their quest? I would probably never do that but it would still be neat.
I bet the bar is a no combat zone, a bunch of hub areas in video games turn off your ability to attack, like the Roundtable Hold in Elden Ring or Sindri's House in God Of War: Ragnarok. Plus, killing innocent people just doesn't seem like something Cal Kestis would do :P
