Just to confirm the assumption from the description: this is the museum/retail staging space on the second floor of the 4820 building (which was demolished in mid-2010 and is now where the soccer field between the 4600 -- which replaced it -- and the 4900 buildings currently exists). As others have pointed out, it likely was filmed in 2006 (besides the lack of Wii stuff, I didn't spot any DS Lite stuff either so it's probably Q1/Q2ish). I always preferred this space to its successor in 4600, which was generally inaccessible/under covers unless there was something going on (though I left NOA in 2015 so that may no longer be the case!)
This is absolutely fascinating. Does that mean they always changed the look of this according to the way Nintendo stuff was displayed in a store at the time?
The hunt for B-Roll is clear with all the Zoom-Out focus shots of things that would make for good scenery between interviews of some kind. Props to the cameraman for panning all the info boards near the end 👍
this is fascinating! there are family photos here 😮 thanks so much for sharing ❤ my god are those airplane seats with SNES in them?! whaaaaat! it’s interesting that art on glass has Mario & Bowser, not Mario & Luigi or Mario & Peach! nintendo TV? i’ve never seen that
God i remember buying my Wii here with Twilight Princess. It had a big sticker saying not for resale on it. I was a student at DigiPen at the time and we were in onof NOA's buildings. So we could get a teacher to take us whenever we wanted.
I think I visited this place a few years before this video was shot. When I was 12 I went to a summer class at Digipen, a video game school in Washington. One day while I was there we went over to the Nintendo campus, and I'm pretty sure I remember walking through here.
I mean it was mostly just retail display gear and available to public products. I hope we one day get a glimpse into the depths of Nintendo Japan's archives. imagine all the prototype hardware.
What nostalgia seeing all that stuff especially on shelves and stuff like a store. If it's an employee only museum did they charge people for the souvenirs we see like the shirt and stuff or was that part of the museum too?
I assume B-roll, since a decent amount of these tapes came from GameSpot and the dude's carrying a heavy, shoulder-mount camera. I'm sure it wasn't cheap either, considering it could record at 1080i in 2006
Watching this with RTX Super Resolution turned on is stunning. Looks like modern 4k footage. If only he had been a bit better at pulling focus and not randomly zooming in on tiny things haha.
When I took film classes, usually the process to focus the camera was to zoom in far, focus, and pull back out, since it can be hard to tell if the footage is in focus on the tiny display lol. Without zooming all the way in, it could look fine in-camera and then you later play it back and see it's all out of focus.
@@rolithesecond You can see through most of it though, they zoom in and it gets focused and then he pulls back out. Also when they were in the store area, they did not do that and all of the footage was out of focus lmao.
You've struck gold!! Thanks for digging ♥ - Zion

Nothing tells me more that this is 2006 than the way this guy is recording, my good lord. amazing find anyway!
12:33 on the top right corner you can see and hear the canceled Kirby GameCube game that eventually became Kirby's Return to Dream Land.
Insane quality. Thanks for posting these in full and not putting up paywalls like any other channel would have.
Oh my god I remember seeing these in magazines and on websites. It’s so wild to finally see this in video form. Amazing find!
there something i find oddly beautiful in finding such an old video with this quality

Amazing video quality for 2006. I'm surprised.
Must have been professional equipment
In 2004 there was a consumer or prosumer HDV video format on mini DV tape
Found this channel thanks to a BBC article about the lost tapes. Glad I did. Thanks for uploading
Some amazing zooming going on here
Oh hell yeah, I saw this place in an old holiday tape made for retailers, but always wished for a closer look. I'm so glad you found all those tapes.
This channel will be a lost media gold mine.
this is fascinating! there are family photos here 😮
thanks so much for sharing ❤
my god are those airplane seats with SNES in them?! whaaaaat!
it’s interesting that art on glass has Mario & Bowser, not Mario & Luigi or Mario & Peach!
nintendo TV? i’ve never seen that
Wish the cameraman hadn't used the zoom quite so much - still - an amazing bit of history preserved - thanks!
The quality is better than my 2022 phone
Thank you Danny all these vids are amazing. Now available forever
that "animal crossing ds" standee is super cool. There's some crazy rare stuff in this video.
Motion stabilization has come a long way. This handheld is making me sea sick ;)

Fantastic! Great to see, but my goodness does the person filing love the zoom button 😂
So cool, Danny. Thanks for all your effort to get this stuff out there.
Man these videos are amazing its a time capsule
Really cool footage...funny that they kept zooming in on the Nintendo logos 😅
The zoom-ins are to focus the camera. You usually zoom in really close, focus, and them pull out to make sure the capture is not out of focus.
Wow! What an incredible find! Thanks for sharing!
Wow thats incredible. And it has the same set from the store kiosk demo tapes
Oh shit. They had Shadow the Hedgehog presumably playing on a GameCube. That's soooo perfect considering it's 2006
Oh my god.... So incredible!!! Thank you for sharing this footage! :)
thank you all so much!!!
this looks incredibly good for a 2006 video

This is like a dream that I don’t want to wake up from
You are like a time traveler, perfect video
that nintendo gateway systems tiny hotel room set in the corner lol
Now I want 1000 more items in my collection.
For an HD camera in 2006 that is pretty good quality.
Heaven
Massive killthecameraman vibes. My man needed a tripod and to lay off the zoom.
Back when the Nintendo Wii wasn't in the market until a couple of months later.
This was in 2006?! I wish they still have it!!
Very interesting that there are physical copies of Animal Crossing DS before the name change to Wild World
Amazing find!
Man I remember using the gamecube and n64 hotel versions.
Wow this amazing stuff. Keep digigng guys you rock
Beautiful
Firing gold on all cylinders here.
Great job guys.👏👏👏👏
Soul...
I love the vibe
This is amazing footage! Anyone know where those game award looking trophies are from?
I'm so happy to see Nintendo Latinoamérica! Con esas revistas Club Nintendo
Amazing find. If only the guy knew how to use a camera.
Oh my god, those SNES airplane seats are so freaking rare. I hope Nintendo still have them...
OMG just incredible
Amazing! 😮

It was basically like the Nintendo Store in NYC, but for employees only.
yoooo that Strikers logo at 2:02 tho
Wow!
lmao, it looks like a GameCrazy.
(24:23) Chibi robo hoodie Chibi robo hoodie
This building doesn't exist anymore, btw.
9:42 Mexico merchandise and magazines!!!
Ben Hanson of Minn Max must be shitting his pants watching this stuff!
Wonder if this was for some B-roll footage or just a fan recording ?

@@walllablegood point.
This is really cool!
This is also some of the worst camera work I've ever seen lmao
Like 1K 😊 Yes!
I guess they were documenting the area before refurbishing everything into wii style
Their worst era.
@@garlandstrifehe said wii not switch
@@Zevis48 i see what you did there
1:36 who's recording??
Wow🎉
what does that place smell like??
5:58 wow that Psyduck has seen some sht

I wouldn't be surprised if he was zooming in on stuff all the time because HD was new and cool and he wanted to get extra detail on a bunch of stuff.

@@larryinc64 yeah that can work, but it requires the lens to be parfocal, meaning the focus doesn't shift when zooming, which isn't always the case.
@@walllable that was my impression too

Did you guys uncover any Tomb Raider stuff? Please upload it :(
This museum has serious Backrooms vibes.
Of course there'd be trash board games like Pokemon Monopoly on display but not Pokemon Master Trainer.
