That was a great review Matt. I know that a buyer won’t care but considering that most of your viewers are mere mortals, it was nice to have that segment about the prices of the extra bits and pieces. I also liked how you showed the parts of the chassis, instead of just mentioning the weight difference in a sentence. I’ve seen from other reviews that McLaren makes a massive exposition of their car parts every time they present a new one. They have the featherweight titanium bolts for you to see and pick up for example. It’s great that you didn’t just show the car, but also part of this whole McLaren presentation. Good for us but also for McLaren that they didn’t put all this up there for naught.
Matt, thanks for the most comprehensive/deep dive review of a McLaren, where you go exploring and poking around in all the cubby holes, etc. Something, I'll never get the chance to do. This video alone has given me a sense what the car is all about. As always, a well-produced, informative and entertaining review!!

I like the innovations that Mclaren has, I just do not like the design they use on the outside, like the headlights. Not to mention a few problems in terms of reliability. Mybe that's why many potential buyers prefer to buy Porsche.
When the 720 first came out I loved it...but then I started to dislike the front light air intakes in black when they clash with the exterior colour like orange or red. BUT IN THE SILVER...game changer. Even that deep blue coupe looked sick too. I'm in love again.
McLaren are my favorite supercars(especially 720S and P1) and I'm not even British! Then there's, of course, Pagani Huayra BC, but that's a completely different level...
If you like cars these reviews are so well done that they're as entertaining as any other regular video on youtube even if you're not interested in buying the car.

Well, McLaren obviously figured out the type of person buying this car isn't exactly hard pressed for money. Actually,the only option that didn't really seem worth it was the paint. 4k for silver? Really?
There is only one problem and when I say one I mean multiple: the looks, the sound, the interior and the fact that Performante Spyder will probably still trash it around most courses.
@@dash3dot looks are subjective, almost every modern Mac sounds like a vaccum cleaner, interior is debatable and the fact that the 720s actually beat the performante around many tracks (heck it even beat the Gt2rs) despite being a GT speaks volumes.

The Ferrari 488 GTB is beautiful, so is the new Ferrari F8 Tributo. The 720s looks amazing but i wouldn't say it's a beautiful car, the McLaren 650s is by far the best looking McLaren.
Loved the last 3 minutes! only 0.1% of us needed the options prices. And only if it's parked on your foot do you need the weights. More car might be better format? appreciate your work all the same!
Man... once upon a time a few years back I would be watching these kind of car reviews and tell myself, maybe one day I could afford a 2nd hand m135i and I'd be happy to get my dream car. It's absolutely mind boggling I actually have the cash now to buy even a Mclaren... but I wouldn't. Once you've known what it feels like to have 0 bank balance before, you'd know better to buy such a massive depreciating asset.
