If you don’t have jackstands, you should invest in some, its not worth going under a car for even a second because no tool is perfect and car jacks do fail.

I suggest that you buy a scan tool to perform any future diagnosis because I bought a Bosch OBD 2220 scan tool From Repco & on sale for $199 in early 2019 which has been great because it actually reads the codes in my VY SS Commodore.
Just don't believe what's written on the box because it says that it scans Australian specific models,I have to manually enter & scan it as a 2002 Model Chevrolet Camaro which is a U.S. built car, there's no listing for a Holden VY V8 Commodore on the scan tool & it will not scan the Australian 3.8 litre models because they're OBD1.5.
In my car I found dead Knock sensors (P0332 & P0327 codes),loose MAF sensor clamps (P0102 code),low fuel pressure due to a bad fuel pressure regulator (P0171 & P0174 codes),the ignition coil connector for the right hand side engine y had half fallen off which caused a misfire code on cylinders 4 & 6 (P0354 & P0356 codes) albeit not all at once,I have scanned that since I bought the car.
I did replace the fuel injectors in 2012 after I had a hard starting issue whiich did fix the problem but this was well before I found a scan tool would read the old SAE J1850 VPW OBD2 PCM,the 6 litre VZ onwards V8 Commodores are fitted with an IS015765 PCM which any generic scan tool will pull codes from since it's a CAN OBD2 PCM.
I noticed that your car has bad a MAFless tune done to it,I would apply petroleum jelly to the fuel injectors O rings, not dishwashing detergent because that may be caustic & eat the O rings !

@@tyeingram4313 mate not really. My mechanic told me that my car is throwing up several (about 15-20) “phantom” codes and he said after he clears them some come back and some don’t. The funny thing is they changed the air filter and lo and behold the motor is running good again - no rough running or stalling. Really weird because the air filter wasn’t even that dirty. Since then I’ve had several pulleys and the belt tensioner replaced, the main seal replaced and the centre bearing in the driveshaft replaced. I’ve also had a new water pump put in as the old one shat itself. It’s like you reach 200,000 K in this car and everything goes wrong at once. Hopefully it will all calm down a bit now.
