PLEASE tell me you didn't say use your Phillips screwdriver to remove the windscreen screws! It should be a JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) screwdriver, which has a sharper tip and a narrower space between the blades of the cross.
Usage: They are specifically designed for JIS screws, which are commonly found in Japanese motorcycles, bicycles, and other machinery.
JIS screwdrivers fit JIS screws precisely, reducing the risk of slippage.
They can handle more torque without damaging the screw head.
Identification: JIS screws often have a small dot or mark on the head to distinguish them from Phillips screws.
