2015 Focus ST here - just finished my install and I couldn't be happier! Power delivery feels sharper and more consistent, with about the same level of noise out of my Cobb intake. Very happy with the quality of the product, and this video got me through the install with ease. Glad to know this component is ready for more boost in the future. Thanks team CJ's!
I have just got one of these, the straight banjo nipple of mine has what looks to be a copper crush washer, since I nipped mine up you can still see the washer don't want to tighten too much
CJ Pony parts, did this car have the stock intake on it still ? I like the slightly louder sound that isn't quite as loud as the 50/50 unit. So was this the factory closed airbox or an aftermarket CAI ? Thanks CJ Pony Parts
At 3:00 you show the flat part of the valve facing up, but after it is installed 3:30, it is facing down. At 3:46 it is facing up. Kind of confused at which way it really goes. Isn't it supposed to face the intake of the turbo? Guess my real question is does it really matter which way the flat part is facing?
I will go with this one, no need to sound like im 16 again haha, Say Bill do you have an install play list for the focus st like the parts playlist? Love your videos.
I just did mine and I’m confused cause there’s definitely a boost leak now but it still blows off when I let off the throttle, I put the bracket over top the Bov any ideas
Other than the sound, is there any difference between a single and the dual functionality wise? Does the factory system require the pressure back into the system?
Hi mate after a bit.of advice I bought the 50/50ts bov and since it's been remaped by dreamscience Imap. Ds ultima. I have bad fluctuations at 1/4 throttle where the turbo should be at 1 bar boost. It will hold 22 psi flat out so don't leak then but ds reckon it's my bov the problem because mettered air for the agrresssive map is going missing . Do you know of any 50/50 problems doing this in the past ? Cheers
@@cjponyparts I had it.50/50 and also have had it as tight as it can go to try to stop it venting . But it feels like it's venting but I can't hear it. So think it's doing the internal vent. Will losing it to.stalling stop it. Don't make much sense.
does anyone know a BOV that vents to atmosphere will void the warranty for these models? Also, when installing an aftermarket BOV, is there some tuning required?
Will you get flutter if the flat part isn’t facing turbo, I installed but didn’t know there was a special orientation for this and I just put the writing facing up... seems like I have flutter even though car still reaches full boost
Hunta1209 That is not a simple answer. It depends on your dealer and compliance with rules. Technically, they have to prove that it altered the engine and caused the failure in the event something goes wrong. However, up front they can get away with saying it altered the amount of air being allowed to recirculate vs. “Blown off”. You would have to take legal action and it would not be worth it. (To me anyway) I installed a boomba bov, cobb intake, cobb accessport, borla exhaust, depo FMIC, and replaced various shifting components with only 7800 miles. The service guy here in south Texas just told me they wouldn’t cover the parts added to the car and to revert to stock tune when I brought it in.

Alot harder doing this when it is on the ground but good video on the install.
Can you make a video for the HKS SSQV blow off valve installation and equipment needed.

You want the flat part facing the turbo like I said in the video.
I put the flat part facing the 11 o'clock position. Mine came with the lettering printed perfect with the orientation.
@@FOX11GUY it was that to start with then it changed?
@@Zerogivengarage 11oclock or 2 oclock?
We ship to Europe, so just buy it here.
I installed mine but that flat side I didn’t put it up towards turbo would that be an issue?

Thanks for the compliment, all of our new Focus install videos are on our sister site Spool Tuning
Bill Tumas Thanks Bill ordered the cobb shift plate and knob Sunday!

Is power lost with the dual port due to 50% being routed to the atmosphere?
Nope no loss at all, the same amount of pressure is released.
Other than the sound, is there any difference between a single and the dual functionality wise? Does the factory system require the pressure back into the system?
Sound is the biggest difference. The dual port still recirculates some of the air while this one recirculates all of it.
Will this void the warranty?
Bang'n install music this time around
I'm hitting 3 psi less than with the stock one in the lower gears.
I was tuned through my accessport with the stock bpv is that why?

Will these fit on my ecoboost ford escape?
I got a quick question , I got the BOV but lost the the bolts that came with it , can I use the factory bolts?
I don't know, never tried.
Yes you can same size. I used mine the old one
Yes

I would try to adjust it. Let the car idle and tighten the BOV, loosen it up until its close to stalling and go one turn tight.

Is it the same to install on an earlier year focus St?
This install is only for the 13-14, the earlier STs were EDM only so I don't know how they install.
where can i buy these in Europe?
