Why do that when they can just let those Mac users go throught the inconvenience of cludging together several software packages and praying that it will work out when they push the button? It cost Vectric no effort or money to keep doing that just as they have for years! Sure, most mac users will never become Vectric customers and as more mac users find other packages they will also never adopt vectric in the future either, but who cares? Vectric saved money today, no matter the loss of potential income tomorrow!
@@ukktor Ha ha no kidding, I truly hate switching between computers (Mac to PC) just to use my CNC. Lightburn is doing it right and I hope they come out with a CNC software soon so I can stick with just using apple products.
@ukktor We do understand that there is a appetite out there for us to make a Mac version of our desktop software, and as a software company we are always working along in the background on lost of things, you never know what the future might hold.
Hi quick question, I have not tried to use this program yet but if I sign up for the program can I import the 3d model to a current project I have on desktop pro?
Hello Ronald... thanks for the question. You can not import 3D content you own into EasyCarve, it is powered by the large catalogue of Design&Make single models. If you have a desktop version of Vectric Software, EasyCarve most likely will not be for you. It still might be nice to try out... as it might still be of value if you have the need to cut high value D&M models into your projects.
Hello... I'm assuming you are asking if EasyCarve can export the G-Code for a Legacy CNC... and if I'm right the answer is yes! Give the trial experience a go and you can test out on your CNC!
So a free trial tier OR a locked-in paid one year (really 13 month) commitment?! Can't bring my own models?! Can't export the EasyCarve models?! No integration into Vcarve?! An easy subscription for me to avoid.
Hello Rodney, thanks for leaving the comment. We do understand that this App is not for everyone, and if you have one of our desktop packages, then it most likely will not be something you will be needing. EasyCarve is powered by Design&Makes large catalogue of 3D content, and we feel that this alone is a huge value to some CNC users that only need to cut the occasional 3D model, or even build a business around adding 3D content to there traditional woodworking projects. As I mentioned this might not be for you, and that is OK.
Awesome stuff! Now if only you would bring VCarve Pro to Apple products so I can run the software on my Macbook

I’ve been using VCarve with Parallels for years now on a Mac, works well

@claytonmitchell03 EasyCarve is not our Mac solution, to be clear, seeing as it runs in a browser, it will run on a Mac.
Lots of great 3D models but I cannot add words/lettering or any message on or around the Model. Is there something I am missing?
At this time Matt you are correct... but please keep your eyes on EasyCarve, we are just getting started... :)

Looks great do you have Legacy software?
