Thank you Garrett for this timely video! You not only made me aware of this update but reminded me how to download it. Windows is not helpful when it places the update shield in the taskbar rather than a pop up on the screen. Your instructions about how to turn the draw curves tool on and off by tapping S while using the line/poly line tool clear up something that is not obvious since it is no longer available on the creat vectors menu. Great teaching as usual Garrett!
donaldbecker4642, You're very welcome! I'm glad you found the video helpful in navigating the recent update. It's always a pleasure to share tips and tricks that make woodworking projects easier for everyone.
samspade2519, That's great to hear! Vectric does a great job at keeping their software user-friendly and responsive to customer feedback. Enjoy the upgrade!
I'm happy that you are happy about the curve tool put back into the program. I'm sure it is a very helpful tool to you and many more users. Great going Vectric, you made Garrett very happy. :)
richardwilliams5520, Thanks for the positive feedback! The curve tool is definitely a valuable feature for CNC woodworking projects. Glad to hear you're happy with it too.
baconsledge, It's great to hear that you've had such a positive experience with Aspire! Vectric really does offer powerful tools for CNC woodworking. Happy woodworking!
AveryBooth-tf5ni, I'm glad you found the video helpful! Don't worry, V12 is still a great upgrade despite not having draw curves. It's important to weigh the pros and cons before deciding to upgrade.
Thank you for this information. I had 12.007 but didn't know about the hitting S to get it to go into the draw curve mode. While I can see some advantage to this, and it does the same thing as 11, I wish they had made the change originally and made it clear what the change was. I can see that it is described in the function, but after using Aspire for many years, I don't tend to read that material now, as I didn't expect a function to change it's actual operation!! Nevertheless, I'm glad it is back, as I use it all the time!!
RelayerBob, You're welcome! It's great to hear that the tip about hitting S to go into draw curve mode was helpful to you. It's always interesting to discover new functionalities in familiar software, and I'm glad you found it useful for your projects. Happy woodworking!
garydube3627, I recommend reaching out to Vectric directly for this one. Here's the link to their contact page →www.vectric.com/support. They should be able to give you a little more guidance than I can here.
dennishuss7356, I appreciate your feedback! Sometimes links can change, so it's always good to double-check the source. Thank you for bringing it to my attention!
As always, thanks for the video and excellent lesson! Because I am new to Vectric and started with V12, I have no experience with the draw curves tool. While researching the issue, I came across this video: ua-cam.com/video/2QIZ9U708WM/v-deo.html I think it's a must watch for anyone wanting to learn bitmap tracing... and it seems like a much better technique than draw curves because it doesn't introduce as many nodes. But again, I don't know what I'm talking about yet so..... LOL
michaelbeckwith977, You're welcome! It's great that you're exploring different techniques for bitmap tracing in Vectric. The video you shared looks like it offers valuable insights into the process. Keep experimenting and you'll find what works best for you as you get more comfortable with the software!
Draw curve is good. The checklist idea is great, but offering it free and then requiring a purchase is simply dishonest. Why would I buy anything from someone who proved themselves dishonest?
I'm sorry. I need to fix the page. It does not require a purchase. There's a button on the page that says no thanks. I'll get that fixed asap. Thanks for this comment so I can get that taken care of
@@IDCWoodcraft Wow. I'm pleasantly surprised! Anywhere you go, almost no one accepts accountability today and fixes anything. Thank you for taking action. You made my day, not for fixing this issue, but for having integrity.

False advertising, it's not free if you have to buy something else to get it. 😡
$22 is not free.

This is very good news. I was scared to up grade to V12 due to it not having draw curves. Great video, very helpful as usual.

Nine minutes on how to update software? Really?
Yes. Really.
EXACTLY!!
💯% AGREE!!
I worked in IT support…I tell you seriously, there are people out there who could screw that up after watching it 20 times. 🤦🏻
