Cheers for the shoutout Will, it was nice to finally cross paths on the grid! Edit: I agree totally with taking some time out to enjoy yourself. I found myself spending 90% of my time on videos, 10% on actually racing - restoring that balance a bit actually led to being way more inspired and motivated to make videos. It's the ol' fable of spending time sharpening the axe so you can cut faster
Great driving, mate! Awesome video! That’s exactly why I avoid making online racing videos. It’s so frustrating when others don’t take it seriously and end up ruining someone else’s race. But you’ve got a good point, and I hadn’t looked at it that way before. Most people are just there to have fun and probably don’t care that I’m trying to record a video. And honestly, why should they? It’s a good perspective to keep in mind.
He has a great setup however if he's not going to make that many racing videos per month and you crave more check out Project Sim Racing. His set up is insane and you can barely tell when his set up and the video starts. Simracing GG as well
I've had about 6 months off from regular online races. I've raced occasionally when I felt like it but probably only a couple times a month. I've just started racing regularly in the last week or so and feel much better for it. Feels fresh, I feel like I drive better despite the break and I'm having fun again. If you're hobby is becoming a chore, take a break because you need it.
This is awesome, hope to see these a bit more often. It's great to see what an experience a state of the art set up can produce, simply amazing. Thanks Will
Glad you're taking some time for racing as well as working ;). Cheers Will! Gearing up to setup a rig myself. I've been binging your content. Congrats on your success!
WILL, it's great to see you back to hopefully making some more race videos! Not sure if you remember a couple months ago when I told you on fb that I love your pov content. Please keep it going man!🎉
That's the main problem for us content creators: on the one hand you love to spend time for racing and on the other hand you need more time than you wish to make the videos so you can offer the viewers best experiences while watching your videos...
Unfortunately I’ve been “ that guy” recently and I’m not proud of it. When I look back at the incidents I’ve been involved with I could definitely have done a lot better if I just relaxed and been smarter. Great work mate 👍🏻
Imagine if everyone had the thought process of yourself and me for that matter when it comes to clean racing. How much more we’d enjoy online racing knowing you’re not going to get punted!
Will, do you have any videos on how you setup your iracing in game? Like what you use for spotter app, racelabs and such. I see in game your using the Iracing black box but have racelabs on the video overlay. What do you use in game and how do they all work together? Thanks
Not specifically. I’m using Crew Cheif audio spotter. No in game overlays. I run Racelab and capture the overlays on a second PC to use in the videos so you guys get some data but I can’t see any of that when driving.
I've never really noticed it but bottom left of your monitor where your sector times are, how is it that low? I'm looking at your wheel and where the shaft likely is and I can't fathom how your monitor is down that low without your shaft going through the bottom of your monitor lol
@@boostedmedia Oh wow okay, I guess it's just the sheer size of the monitors that allows it. If you had 27's or 32's it probably wouldn't work out the same and you'd need an extended shaft, thanks!
Hey Will great video as usual. Have you been hearing about problems with Logitech RS wheel hubs? I bought one and one of the mounting bolt holes is stripped out when I received it. I contacted Logitech on November 25th about the defective product and still have not been offered a resolution as of December 10th. Idk if this is a common problem with the hubs but custom service has been non-existent at best
@boostedmedia thank you, I'll keep trying to get them to replace my sample then. Not sure what's happened to their customer service this time but it's been horrendous
@boostedmedia hey will just wanted to update you due to just how bad the customer service has been on this. So after giving me a run around for 3 weeks about replacing the defective wheel hub they said they'd replace it. But instead of giving me a shipping label to return the defective product like they said they sent me a qr code that only FedEx can scan and give me a label. The nearest FedEx store to us is 2 hours away. I contacted them and they said I had to contact Logitech. I did and they told me that was the only option they were not going to provide me an email that contains an actual label I can just print off. So after 3 weeks I am just returning the RS wheel hub, G Pro wheelbase, and pedals all for refunds. I informed Logitech that this was the course and got a generic go screw yourself response. I'm just trying o make sure people know Logitech apparently no longer stand behind their products
This is a big part of why I spend 99% of my time in practice, I get excited to race and commit time to it (away from fam and work) and then get taken out early and have to finish out ruined race, realized was often more enjoyable to hang in practice sessions, I find people to have fun with and can step away easier too
Anyone know why my crewchief says nothing besides lap times? i have sweary messages checked and I've never heard him say a thing sweary or anything remotely relevant to whats happening in the race?
Thanks for the support mate. I’ll check and update the list! Something must have gone wrong somewhere. We have a script that pulls the names for us. Thanks for letting me know.
Can’t help but feel you’re past experience would’ve been better if you weren’t doing C class races. Said with plenty of ignorance. Glad you found a resolve
It's just a no fault solution. The game has no way of knowing who caused something, so it blames everyone involved. The only way to have a fault system is to have an actual person as race control to spectate issues and hand out penalties, which isn't feasible in all the normal races.
No one comes close in terms of equipment and informative reviews, but the driving is just uninspiring. You should stream some coaching sessions and take it seriously so we can see a genuine improvement arc.
Cheers for the shoutout Will, it was nice to finally cross paths on the grid!

Been missing these for a while now. There's something about your hyper realistic iracing, almost a meditative experience
Do more of such video Will. Your setup is amazing. And the picture you deliver is one of the best on the net.
I think you really set a standard

Detox is always a good idea mate. It’s also great that you’re self aware enough to know you needed to step back. Welcome back!
Great to see you racing again, as far as racing content, IMSA (can you on C licence?) or Gen 3 Supercars would be wild, they are so much fun.
Correct decision mate, hope this comes to be for you the boon I hope that it is!

Will that was a very awesome video, love all your content!
Amazing driving mate! 🙌🙌
I hear ua about taking a break. I normally do the 12 weeks straight. Then the 13th week I’m off racing altogether. It is refreshing
Unfortunately I’ve been “ that guy” recently and I’m not proud of it. When I look back at the incidents I’ve been involved with I could definitely have done a lot better if I just relaxed and been smarter. Great work mate 👍🏻
Even if its not technically "your fault", tehre's still usually a lesson that can be learned. :)

that bezel kit install perfection tho..
I been out of iracing for a while as well , gotta get back into it again ,
Always great to watch mate 👌
Which camera do you use to record?
welcome back
well said!
Missed ya!!! How do you get the heartbeat and radar on I--racing?
Look in your rear mirror at 4:05🤦♂️😂 also is you heart rate monitor accurate? Love the vids👌
Nice to see you back will nice drive, were did you get that heart rate monitor on screen from ?
It’s an app for Apple Watch called Hype rate
How do you make the screen completely still? I have slight camera shake and kills the feel of “being in the car”
Will whats the dashdisplay your are using looks good on the rig ?
I’m not running a dash. That’s the car’s dash on the monitors.
@@boostedmedia lol wow ok looks like DDU
@@theozziesimracerhe got the big league sim cockpit tat why it look so realistic 😂😂😂
Please do a video on how you get this hyper realistic setup! Was this in VR?
STCC in RaceRoom would definitely get a view and a like from me 😊
This is honestly the most realistic race I have ever witnessed

what would a set up like this cost in USD? Thank you.

The monitors sit behind the wheelbase. Have a look at our rig tour video linked in the description :)

@@hunterh1033 He's got enormous screens lol. They pan from the floor to above his head.
Hello, I’m new on the channel. What wheelbase did you use?
Using a Simucube 2 Ultimate here
@ thank you. Spectacular race👌🏼
Oh no, first race back and you chose the Ferrari challenge at lime rock? 😂
Haha! Chose the car I'm most familiar with. Was surprisingly tame TBH. I was expecting absolute chaos. I guess being in top split helps.
@ when I did it it was pure chaos, looks like you got lucky lol
I hate this map😅
Do those downshifts in Ferrari really sound like that? (I don't own it)
What you're hearing is game audio so yeah. The sound isn't modified at all.

Bcs better😂

If you start playing racing only for the ratings and getting angry when not everything runs well , you need a brake … at the end it’s only a game!
First. Thats the only thing about iracing i dont like. Incident points for an incident you didnt cause.
There will be no solution that fits every scenario , so maybe it’s nots the best solution, but a solution anyone can understand 😅
It's just a no fault solution. The game has no way of knowing who caused something, so it blames everyone involved. The only way to have a fault system is to have an actual person as race control to spectate issues and hand out penalties, which isn't feasible in all the normal races.
