@VK He beat him because he debuted just when WRC was moving towards 100% active differentials and the Citroen had a very different driving style to what McRae was used to, plus he had lost a lot of motivation after losing the 2001 title. I doubt Loeb would have been able to dominate as he did if he was driving during the 90s. Apart from Gronholm and then Ogier, he had no real competition, so his titles are not worth as much. I'm not trying to take away anything from him, but it's impossible to say who's the best overall just based on statistics.

Loeb is the best driver Ever...but I did like McRae he was crazy...
I think it's more accurate that Mcrae was the better driver, Loeb was Great and consistent, bcoz 4 Mcrae, it's either he wins or crashes
