Yay Max is here ! I hope school is going well for you. Come back again over the summer if you can. Schooling is only part of the picture, OJT is the next piece and lastly is experience. 👍
Love yur work guys. Aussie in Thailand here & love this build of Jeremy’s home. You’d never find anything like this here as for one, no “qualified” local professional builders; and secondly, they’ve no imagination to design, plan or build anything like this either. Thirdly, they’ve very limited materials, resources, tools and know how. No house build qualified plumbers, electricians, concretors or block layers and they can’t mix concrete to manufacturers specifications if their lives depended on it. If anyone did build something like this here, sure on the outside it’d look done but peel back the layers you’d be left scratching and shaking your head as to how & why to pick up the pieces falling off after they’ve left the site. Keep up the great work. Love it.
You guys are doing such a nice job.....its so much fun to watch your videos and watch the progress of that wonderful home being built for a family I believe you guys may know personally.
Hey Max, I'm afraid of heights too. But seeing you be brave enough to sit on the edge of the roof and get the job done helps me think that I'll be able to do that too, if needed. Keep it up.
Great job to whole crew, I love the atmosphere you all create and whenever I watch one of your videos (PBB's or Jay's, i love both) I always feel mesmerized. As always the editing is top notch and all the explanations on what you all are doing is clear and easy to understand for everyone, including me that have never built nothing. Good to see Max back. Thank you for building with us 👏
These episodes are just so quick, can we please please have a bonus longer episode........ Thanks for the cool kit, hoodie and cap arrived in time for Christmas in UK. Really nice quality and a bonus of zip tape on the box, nice touch. Keep up the great work.
Have a Kobalt tape measure like that and I love it. Also is magnetized at the end. Just has seemed easier to use. And to control when retracting it. It’s the only one I ever grab for anymore.
I'm the furniture maker and i use this type of tape, I work with small numbers very often and so that I don't have to pull out the tape measure every time 500 times a day, this tape measure is 100% what you need
Love the video, as always guys. Nice to see Max back as well. I love watching your videos, always a treat. I hope you guys can tackle some more big, or bigger projects in the future. You guys are true professionals and that's why I watch. Keep up the awesome work! PS. Probably isn't what I think, and even if it is it wouldn't bother me anyways, but at 16:27 it sure sounds like Jamie says something "unusual" for your crew (at least on camera anyway lol). I can't tell if it is "fun" or something that rhymes with "truck" ??? I must have listened to it 30 times and still can't tell.
What a welcome back for Max. 😂Especially as he doesn't love heights. I really like that block wall. Would love to see more footage about it. It is not something I have seen before.
Perkins, I’m not a builder but I watched the whole builder belt ad just to give a few pennies to the channel. Love the content. Using the guide on a skill saw was the one thing my teacher in shop class missed in 1986. My grandpa was quick to remedy that when we built his well house. Turns out the guide is only as accurate as the quality of the saw. Pawpaw insisted on Milwaukee because the blade was dead on with the guide.
Watching the videos, I always recommend, especially on large projects to either rent or buy and own so much scaffolding you can stage everything off to the point you aren’t worried about things falling. It’s so much nicer and better I think than a boom lift.
I use and love the Lever Lock tapes. For me it is much easier that it automatically locks when I am having to lean at an odd (an possibly not the safest) angle from my ladder because I don't need the other hand to lock the tape.
God, I would've LOVED to work on this project! Looks awesome. My current employer focuses on commercial contracts which pays more but I miss residential ...I love building houses.
I have a tape measure like that, and the lock on the bottom of the tape. If you sat it down, it would always let the tape rewind when I didn’t want it to. I’ve got a Milwaukee that is much more solid. It has a better tip to it. it’s got a magnetic tip and it has a lock that can’t be fully locked or just enough to give some resistance. It also has numbers on both sides of the tape.
I've got two of those types of tape measures. When building my garage I relied on its insta lock design because I was building the garage alone. Made it easier and quicker to slide the tape out, go over to the end, make sure it was in the correct spot, and make sure what I was measuring was accurate. The insta slide back in tapes always were more of a pain to use for me.
I love the really high ceilings and the consistent angles of the roof, however, it seems like the proch roofs are too high for practicall use. Looks grand but you will only have shade for a short portion of the day and there will be so much weather coming in. Looks amazing though.
On the safety harness, you want the d ring in the back to be about even with your shoulder blades. They also make a 1’ helper that clips on and lowers the d ring( well it ands a second one but that’s what you clip to)
On those lever lock tape measures, I prefer them, and I have had several and they are not all the same. The ones with a lever on the bottom are very problematic, as you often use the bottom of the tape measure against something, and even a little pressure on that button makes it slip. So try some with the button on top, that lock well. After buying a Dewalt, Milwakee, Stanley... I oddly enough got a Heart (yes, thats from wal mart) and its my fav. Button is on top, and it locks the tape securely, while some of the big names slip constantly.
@7:55 In the Army, we called it a dummy chord. For anyone caught with the M16 more than an arms length away, or someone who keeps losing ammo pouches, canteens etc, we would use the 550 chord (parachute chord) and tie off the M16 or canteen to the LBE (load bearing equipment - like a toolbelt but for ammo/grenades/canteens etc). But then I realized that I didn't have to pay for anything I lost, so I just dummy chorded everything. Never lost a canteen, ammo pouch EVER. But I've had plenty of times when I found my canteen dangling by the dummy chord (that I would have lost)
Fear of heights is strange. I am terrified of being on a roof over 10 feet near the edge. I also spent 20 years in the USMC as a door gunner on Huey helicopters and thought nothing about hanging halfway out of the helo while performing crew duties at 1000’s of feet. WTF?
I used to run around steep roof to shingle and play with old TV antennas without a care then watched a guy slip off a 3 story roof and plant it (lucky for him he was high and didn't feel a thing as he walked away 😮) after that I became ultra cautious
when we built our Deltec 10 years ago we didn't have a drone. But I thought a picture of the roof framing would be cool so I rode the forks of the Telehandler to 40' and got a couple of great shots.s. Too bad I can't attach them
you don't want a tool retention strap for a circular saw, if it got stuck on and you dropped it, it would possibly come back at you. I'd like you to keep uploading updates, stay safe.

New Perkins Builder Brothers videos have really become one of the highlights of my after-work routine.
Those level-lock tape measures are great, until you drop them. They become never-locks much easier than you would hope!
Good seeing you again Max. After graduation, hope you join the PERKINS BROTHERS Group. Good luck Max. As always, great job Guys, Thank you for all the tips and PRO Tips.
He sure does fit into the crew like an old hand, and with Arlo retired they are still a man down.
Yay Max is here ! I hope school is going well for you. Come back again over the summer if you can. Schooling is only part of the picture, OJT is the next piece and lastly is experience. 👍
OMG. At 10:09 that shot of the mountains from the roof was absolutely gorgeous. Caught me off guard. Loved it!
I wouldn't trade these WNC hills for any other view in the world. The most Beautiful place I've ever been.
That retaining block system is the nicest I ever seen by far
Wow Erik, you really slayed that editing!
underrated comment 🤣
I cant even begin to guestimate how much this house is going to cost in the end... Going to be absolutely gorgeous...
Love yur work guys.

Awesome job. Good to see Max back.
Good to see Max back.. Young, have a passion to learn, and gives fresh energy.. Well done guys
You guys are doing such a nice job.....its so much fun to watch your videos and watch the progress of that wonderful home being built for a family I believe you guys may know personally.
Thanks for harnessing up guys🙏🙏. Project is looking great. Nice to see Max as well.
Hey Max, I'm afraid of heights too. But seeing you be brave enough to sit on the edge of the roof and get the job done helps me think that I'll be able to do that too, if needed. Keep it up.
It's crazy that the first video of this build came out last May, and now it's January. And there's at least another six months of work to be done
thanks for pointing that out! Time flies by when you are watching other people work! HAHA 😂
Great job to whole crew, I love the atmosphere you all create and whenever I watch one of your videos (PBB's or Jay's, i love both) I always feel mesmerized. I'd take a live cam with elevator music at this point :D

It’s awesome to see it completely dried in on the roof! Man that’s a massive house
Max, I feel you on the heights! Just watching this video made my hands and feet tingle.
I started feeling dizzy and nauseous at 13:55. jesus...
😂 I thought I was the only one
good, wasn't just me (shiver)
My heart started jerking I do that if I'm watching a movie when the camera pans out from any height. 😮
Thank you again for the amazing video!
Your team is amazing!
I'm the furniture maker and i use this type of tape, I work with small numbers very often and so that I don't have to pull out the tape measure every time 500 times a day, this tape measure is 100% what you need
Its nice to see Max is back. Would be a great addition to be a full time team member.
Each video - I’m so amazed at this build. Really enjoy following, good to see Max helping y’all.
Great seeing Max on site and in the video! Great young man and solid worker!
Hang in there Max. Thanks for sharing guy's and be safe.

So awesome to have Max back. This build is coming along nicely.
What a welcome back for Max. 😂Especially as he doesn't love heights. I really like that block wall. Would love to see more footage about it. It is not something I have seen before.

Love the Lever Lock tape. Very intuitive and helpful design. Milwaukee makes a similar design with a top lever button.
Whatever Brock wants for that machine you MUST get it for the future jobs.
Max is the man. Very cool retaining block system. Good work on the framing as always.
You guys are totally awesome!!!!!
I use and love the Lever Lock tapes. For me it is much easier that it automatically locks when I am having to lean at an odd (an possibly not the safest) angle from my ladder because I don't need the other hand to lock the tape.
Ray, I'm so same way trying to throw things. I was definitely never a quarterback or pitcher. Haha
Looks great. Welcome back, Max.
Great to see Max on site! Good job Max!
What an amazing house in such a beautiful area.
The old Craftsman lever locks were the best!!! Not to mention you could exchange for a new one for any reason. Lifetime warranty!!
Max et al, I’m woozy just watching you guys “ up” there. Hang on guys- you have my admiration.
Glad max is back with the gang.. didn't know he is still schooling, good for him...
starting to look nice - the decks will help, roof will help
God, I would've LOVED to work on this project! Looks awesome. My current employer focuses on commercial contracts which pays more but I miss residential ...I love building houses.
thanks guys for the great video's the house looks awesome
Max is back!! YAY!! love your videos guys, thank you very much
Klein sells some cheap tool retention straps with a little bit of bungie in them. I rarely use them, but when it's needed, it is really nice to have.
Buy the walkers razor gel pads for the ear muffs. About $18 bucks, super worth the money!!!
It's looking good!
I love this. I get to watch my favorite show. And I am so close to you guys. I'm here in Western North Carolina watching my favorite channel.
Awesome work guys.
Thanks for lettin me watch ya build
Ayo Max is back! Great to see him back learning the trade!!!
Thanks for sharing men and enjoyed it 😁🙏 wonderful job 💯
Happy New Year, greeeeeeetings from Mexico
Ray is a sweet guy, I like his attitude. 👍
I've got a fear of heights too and get hypnic jerks every time you are out over the edge of the roof lol
Same
for me its not the heights, it the edge.
It was hard for me to watch when they were on the roof, but I made it
I have a tape measure like that, and the lock on the bottom of the tape. If you sat it down, it would always let the tape rewind when I didn’t want it to. Glad to see Cleetus back!
Another awesome video ❤
Happy Thursday
Nice to see this mega roof finished...I think.
Truss boom for the end of the lift. It’s really nice for additional 15’ of reach and tilting large truss or beams.
Personally I prefer the self locking tape. It took a minute to get used too but now I love it!
that house is gonna be soooo huge sjeez keep the build going man
Glad to see maxi pad on youtube
Thanks love you guys.
FANTASTIC TEAMWORK AGAIN 👍👍WE HAVE SMALLER HOTELS THAN THIS HOUSE 👍👍REALLY GOOD WATCH 🥳🥳
Stanley fat max auto locks are my go to tape. Just what I learned with lol
Hi Max, welcome back for the break. I’m sure you’re back at school by now but it was good to see how you are doing.
Stanley is simply the top notch tape around, aswell as here in South Africa
hello!! Watching from the Philippines!!
20:00 I like the Lever Lock style especially when I am working by myself.
I would love to have a tool belt, but my mom wouldn’t let me buy it so please keep the sale on until I can get it. Thank you ❤
I think you should please send a tool belt for me please pretty please thank you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Size small or medium not sure if it runs big or small
I have a few and I really like them. Easy one hand use.
I love the really high ceilings and the consistent angles of the roof, however, it seems like the proch roofs are too high for practicall use. Looks grand but you will only have shade for a short portion of the day and there will be so much weather coming in. Looks amazing though.
Awesome views from that roof
On the safety harness, you want the d ring in the back to be about even with your shoulder blades. They also make a 1’ helper that clips on and lowers the d ring( well it ands a second one but that’s what you clip to)
I know how you feel Eric, I have a shoulder injury too. It never healed back the same as before. Great job guys as always.💪💪👍👍. Where’s jay. Thanks
Lookin good, Guys!
love your work belt
I love my Stanley Lever Lock Tape Measure.

But I've had plenty of times when I found my canteen dangling by the dummy chord (that I would have lost)
Falling is not the problem, it has never been the problem. It’s the sudden stop that you should worry about.
This build is coming out to be awesome. Jaimee likes beams and he cannot lie 🕺🏽🕺🏽🕺🏽🕺🏽🕺🏽🕺🏽😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Oh my when you guys are up there walking around I'm terrified be safe!
are you saying Max has not been watching any of the episodes all these times? 😂
It's different in real life. They're also still in short sleeves in the video.
Haven't you heard? Max has a girlfriend...
Snow ❄️ on the way my friends 💯
19:45 Max savage. :D Good to see you back, buddy.
Fear of heights is strange. I am terrified of being on a roof over 10 feet near the edge. I also spent 20 years in the USMC as a door gunner on Huey helicopters and thought nothing about hanging halfway out of the helo while performing crew duties at 1000’s of feet. WTF?
My brother was a Green Beret and made hundreds of jumps. He feels the same way.
I used to run around steep roof to shingle and play with old TV antennas without a care then watched a guy slip off a 3 story roof and plant it (lucky for him he was high and didn't feel a thing as he walked away 😮) after that I became ultra cautious
@ yikes!!!!
Awesome! 👍🤗👍
Eric, Love your Trapper’s Hat! ❤. Looks cool with your beard. P.S. still laughing at your son saying “are you gonna wear that?” And then “kay”. 😂😂😂
when we built our Deltec 10 years ago we didn't have a drone. But I thought a picture of the roof framing would be cool so I rode the forks of the Telehandler to 40' and got a couple of great shots.s. Too bad I can't attach them
I use Squids 3180 tool tethering kit. It's worth the money. I have it on all my tools while working at heights.
you don't want a tool retention strap for a circular saw, if it got stuck on and you dropped it, it would possibly come back at you. I'd like you to keep uploading updates, stay safe.
Hey Max ❤ great to see you back ❤
Everyone loves Ray!
