It's the same for indie games for the gamers, the few great indie games are only made by a single dude in a basement, or a very small team of passionate coders and designers.
A 50th anniversary! Congrats. We reached that milestone a couple years ago and continue to be amazed by how fast those years have passed. We were so young (both 21) with a honeymoon that was totally determined by how much cash we received as wedding presents.
After seeing all those nightmare inspection videos with builder not caring to fix there problems, if i ever build i just hope i can find a builder team as dedicated as the Perkins.
@@johnscott2076 The faux beams are way to small to look and feel like structural over the lenghts of that living-room. In this modern design I would not plan such faux beams in the first place. Big free spans are a modern element in itself. In that small passageway the beams would look powerful enough, but of course not in the middle over the window-openings...
We always employed at least one cleaner on the job. Sometimes two or three. The job went so much smoother when everything is organized. Clean site, clean mind.
I had a partner who wouldn't clean up until the end of the day, or beginning of next. Which was same as me except I cleaned up in the middle of the say as well. He lost my chisel once. Then found it three weeks later behind some drywall. I clean up a lot because I like to be organized, and I hate losing tools.
If you guys added some Perkins logos on some flannels, I’d buy those in a heartbeat. Myself personally and I bet a lot of other viewers work outside in the cold as well, and would love to rep some Perkins flannels while we build 💪😁 keep up the great work guys
I imagine winds can get pretty gnarly up there on the mountain. I wonder if those huge deck roof 'sails' require some metal bracketing in order to keep them attached to the home?
You guys I really Envy what you're doing and you're so fortunate that your dad taught you some basic fundamentals that you needed to learn no matter how hard it was on you, give that man some praise and love cuz he deserves it, thank you again for the great video thank you to the whole team.
I legit Love this channel, y'all a bunch of good ass dudes just building great homes and Brock seems like just the coolest, most humble dude! Love it, hope everyone staying well! Build America Great Again!
Congrats to Jason’s parents. That’s an amazing milestone ❤. My company has a paid cleaner on staff. We rotate him to several sites. Rental bin comes in and he loads it up like a Tetris game. We still chip in and clean as we go but without our guy, it would be another headache especially when the weather is bad.
Awesome. You guys are not building a house but a commercial office building structure. I am amazed the crew you have is able to do such precise work. I can't wait for the next video.
Well Guys, thats what I do...the title is "labour" however I communicate with the trades, unload and store material, operate loaders, dozers, lifts and telehandlers. Complete untendered tasks, put up and take down site fencing, open and close site daily, clean up, document deficiencies and keep the General up to date on progress....it helps a bunch!!!
2:18 in watching Jamie and Ray hammer, I was reminded of one of my first days on the job; I was hammering incorrectly like Jamie and the boss grabbed my hammer and cut off 6" of the handle and said "they put it all there for a reason..." Good times
Such an incredible job. When you arrive at the jobsite are you amazed you've built such an amazing structure out of raw earth? I know I am. Love you guys! Happy Anniversary to Jason's in-laws :)
Lol I'm sure it wouldn't be as wonderfully fulfilling as it seems, but as a 32 year old who is tired of the industry I work in, I would LOVE to be hired on this crew as the "clean up everything as we go and move & deliver materials" guy.
I know a high end reno contractor who also has a full time "cleaner" on site while working in people's home, you can barley tell there is a massive reno in progress!
@Erik or Jamie. Invest in a scaffold pulley. This way the cut-man can put nails or a chalk box, tape, charged battery etc in a bucket to move things up and down. Second, when you’re done go to a commercial laundromat and wash those straps. The sand and dirt will cut into the fibers. Let them air dry or tumble on no heat.
The girder placement was awesome and I was truly worried that you wouldn’t be able to get the right height with the machine! The scaffold problem was bothering me. In my imagination I wondered if you would have to do some trick to get it out…..it made me really appreciate how hard everything can be!😮❤
not a fan of those kind of beards - and esp wish Ray would tidy when see old clips of him.... but Ray sooooooo likeable, give him pass on look not keen on.
I only found two references for hyfendufenator in the internet, but if Ray says he can fix that excavator because it needs a new hyfendufenator, I totally believe him!
Wow, this episode really got me going. I’ve got posts under my deck that aren’t half that length and they twisted terribly as they dried. How in the world is that 20 footer going to stay straight? Enclosed in the column detail like below the deck I assume? But will that stop twisting or bowing over that much of a span?
hi guys always watching and enjoy the content, just with the final flyover, i like the "chimneys" but the green one looks out of place and would have removed it and put on the higher roof next to it or leave it. But probably also a owners decision. Either way great work on this build, love it
The Mega Home is looking prodigiously impressive, you guys have done so good working in a multiple of harsh elements. Thanks for building for us Perkins Crew, you guys rock, I hope 2025 will be the healthiest, happiest, and finest for you and your loved ones. Cheers for the crackerjack of a reel, splendid edit Eric...
Ah, I totally can relate to the 'leaking hydraulic fluid' on a worksite. Once the hydraulic hose on a forklift broke and it squirted the fluid everywhere on everyone who was near (I was the only one who didn't get wet, because I was operating it in the cabin >:D)
I loved seeing you guys at Cataloochee skiing! We were there around the same time, I would have probably geeked out if we ran into you guys 😂. Great video, thanks for rationing them out so we still get a weekly fix even during the holidays.

How many square feet is this going to end up?
Is this a spec or a pre-sold?
@@rexmayn3171 I'm saying pre-sold since the guy with all of the machines has been referred to as the owner - I think his name is Brock.
Sometimes I pause it and just stare in awe that such a small crew has accomplished such an incredible build. So extremely impressive!
It's the same for indie games for the gamers, the few great indie games are only made by a single dude in a basement, or a very small team of passionate coders and designers.
Ray's becoming a helluva cut man. The whole crew had to step up to fill the void left by Arlo (the wizard). Good job gentlemen! 💪💪
Happy Anniversary to Jason's Mom& Dad for their 50th Anniversary. Wish them many more to come. Another great video. Job well done.
That means Jason is a bastard😂
That Machine is Keeping You Safe and is adding Years to Your Builder Lives, Work Smart
Definitely buy the reach lift from Brock when you're done!!

"their". Jesus people.
I say the same thing. It's a nightmare out there !!!
Jason bundled up like Ralph’s little brother on a Christmas story lol
I can't put my arms down....
Hahaha good ole Randy
Looks like a tick ready to pop. Lol
You'll shoot your eye out, kid!
Jamie is my hero out there doing this job with 3 missing fingers and still killing it!!
Four.
4:54 Eric is right. Having "beams" centered over a window opening looks terrible. 😊
Much love and blessings to all 💜
Stay safe and be kind 🙏
Just another crappy design by the “architect” that “designed” this house

Yes clean site is so important.

You're son's reaction during the LMNT ad was fantastic.

Amazing work from such a small crew
Happy newyear to you all!!
Hey thanks Tim
What a house, you guys are pushing the limits man, looks beautiful! 👍👍👍🇨🇱💪🇺🇸
So cute your boy asking if you’re going to wear that!!❤❤❤😂
Visiting a buddy in Bryson and just saw your merch in BCO, good stuff!!
I imagine winds can get pretty gnarly up there on the mountain. I wonder if those huge deck roof 'sails' require some metal bracketing in order to keep them attached to the home?
After you guys finish building this complex build. You are officially Master Carpenters! It's definitely a fun and challenging project!
IMO they already are!😂
You guys I really Envy what you're doing and you're so fortunate that your dad taught you some basic fundamentals that you needed to learn no matter how hard it was on you, give that man some praise and love cuz he deserves it, thank you again for the great video thank you to the whole team.
That hyphen dufenator strikes again, glad you’re there to fix it Ray 😂😂😂😂 9:00

21:33 50 years huh. Damn Jason could be my son! Wife and I celebrated our 48th last month. Tell your parents Happy Anniversary from Lexington, SC! 😊

I bet they'll be glad to get back to building a normal custom house. This one is OTT.
Happy anniversary to Jay's parents! Also love the cat tease at the end there!
It’d be such a blessing to work with bosses like you and Jamie you guys make work fun

Jaime Doubtfire.
Those angled common rafter birds mouth were crazy math. Salute for figuring that out !!!

That seems so fun and technical can't wait to next one
Job well done again love it
Really starting to take shape, guys. Love the video as always
Hi guys love your work, for a little tip on lifting the 20' vertical post screw a couple blocks so the sling can't slip out
It was a nice surprise to see you on Berm Peak!
Ray has got this cut man thing down pat. 👍💪 This house is super cool and absolutely beautiful views ! You all live in a beautiful place. 😁
Love it when you are building guy's. Thanks again for sharing and be safe.

you guys inspire me...and crack me up! thanks for sharing!
Happy New Year, I always enjoy, greetings from Austria.
Great video guys.
The framing on this house is just madness. What the heck is Brock building; a timber castle!!🤣
You guys do some really nice work. Love the videos and learn alot.

Happy new year to the Perkins boys Doesnt it get easier with all the right scaffolding and a machine on site. Well done

In New England, we always strap out the ceilings for sheet rock,
. It’s just part of the way we build houses here in New England
Nice job repping the Big Orange Power T. Go Vols!!
Another impressive video of the MEGA build. Ken
You guys definitely getting your leg work outs, going up and down day after day.
Ray's beard is gaining epic proportions! Great one again PBB crew!
Wow that’s awesome build! I wish now that I became a builder. I’m a railroader instead. Still pretty cool job. Hats off
Real ones don't care were 63 episodes in and still a skeleton. Keep em coming and be safe!
This house is incredible.
That’s going to be a beautiful house!
God bless you guys love watching like usual
Have you guys ever thought of doing a "meet and greet?" Great way for fans to get to know you better. Let us know
Love seeing the progress.
I've finally seen your belt on RR buildings.
Thank for the latest episode. Happy New Year guys, all the best for a fun and safe 2025 🎉
Thanks!
Isn’t it amazing how a lift helps so much!! 🤩
They must have just invented that??
How long have you guys been in construction??
Such a cool house. Yall are killing it!
What a awesome house nice job fellas
Unreal.. you guys are absolutely killing it. That house will stand the test of time. Every builder should take note of the detail. No shortcuts 🤌🏼
Love that TENNESSEE Gear!
Great vlog again. Regards from a sorry Sunny Tenerife Canary Islands ❤
my daughter will be there in February!

Those deck roofs are so high above the deck that I'm thinking that they won't be much help to shelter the deck.
Happy New Year PBBROS! Wishing you all the best for 2025 and always!
