Kamado is Prof. Rowan's Ancestor and Gen 6 Wiktrom's Ancestor from the elite 4 in Kalos since he wears the same type of armor as Wikstrom....Your character can travel back to the modern day Sinnoh via Celebii and it's Time Travel ability
I tried to get it, however it's not accepting my card info
Never mind. I got it to work.
@@minermole101 awesome! Appreciate the support! 😄
WHYYYYYY WOULD YOU GIVE THAT SPOILER ON THE TITLE???????????????????????????????????????????:(((((((((((((((((((((((((((
On Twitter, I saw an argument over whether Laventon was related to Hop or Leon... Someone was unironically arguing that Hop was Laventon's descendant because researcher, but refused to accept that Leon would also be his descendant... I've been laughing about this for weeks now.
Lmao That's Like If Beni Was Wally's Ancestor.
@@ZimVerse Feel like you missed the joke... Hop and Leon are brothers.
Sometimes I argue with my mom saying people can't be that stupid, than usually something like that happens to prove me wrong
lmaoo did this person even know anything about swsh???
Wow, just......wow
As interesting as the "you're your own ancestor" thing is, there is a snag with that theory: you canonically capture both dialga and palkia in this game. You have the gods of time and space st your command. Even with the space-time rift closed, what's stopping your character from simply telling those two to send you home?
The bonds and friends you made along the way
Isn't it cannon in this game that once a pokemon is caught its power decreases dramatically? Possible that catching them renders them too weak to open a rift
@@BigReviewMan Not really? Nothing ever says a pokemon gets weaker if you catch it. If you're referring to the alpha pokemon, that's them calming down, not getting weaker.
The gender you play (Ray-Male Akari-Female) doesn't exist so if you didn't stay in Hisui, you wouldn't exist
Probably didn’t want to at that point.
I know it’s the easy way out but it’s simple enough to make sense to me right now
Giratina got major character development in this game :D
Today I say a dialogue from Volo, during a quest in the Celestic Ruins, where he refers to Girantina as "the creator's unwanted children" and that made something click.
Arceus created Dialga and Palkia, time and space, and they together created matter. But, with matter being brought into existence, antimatter (Giratina) was created aswell, whos only purpose is to destroy matter. That's why Arceus banished it to the Distorsion World, and why Giratina grew resentful. It was born and its existence was harmful for the Universe, so the creator had to banish Giratina to keep everything intact.
Then the plot of this game happens, and finally, after millenia, Giratina realizes its rage served no purpose, and that it can abandon it in favor of a higher calling, protecting this world. And from then, Giratina watches from the other side, making sure the world is safe.
my guess (and this is also mentioned by other Poketubers) is that Giratina doesn't control antimatter, but GRAVITY instead. I mean, controlling gravity would explain why gravity is all wonky in the Distortion World as opposed to antimatter, since if it was antimatter, not even Giratina himself could exist there since he's made of matter himself, much less Cyrus, Cynthia, us, or any of the aforementioned characters' teams.
@@SzandorQuinn gravity can also warp time and space, if I'm not mistaken, on a black hole's event horizon.
@@clarkside4493 yes, and I personally suspect that this aspect of Giratina's power over gravity might also explain why time seems to stand still within the Distortion World itself, and partially have something to do why the space-time distortions in Legends Arceus are called DISTORTIONS and have the same purple, hazy effect within them that we see within the Distortion World in Platinum.
@@SzandorQuinn it all fits and I like it. This game has certainly given me a newfound respect for Giratina. I never gave him much regard, before, but now I think he's really neat.
@@clarkside4493 i mostly just liked him for his edgy, ghost-dragon-devil aesthetic, but knowing he stayed behind to protect Sinnoh after the events of Legends Arceus (this being why he would interrupt Cyrus and drag him to the distortion world in Platinum, to protect the universe from the total destruction Cyrus wanted) just makes me go "Respect +++" towards him.
Another interesting tidbit with Kamado’s Armor is that it’s the exact same design as the Kalos Regions Elite Four Member Wikstrom’s armor. So because Kamado says it’s traditional Galarian armor, that means that Wikstrom is either from the Galar Region originally, or he has connections to Galar
Well france is next to britain
Don’t forget, that would also put the Sword and Shield games in the mega evolution multiverse.
@Stargazer Studios How do you figure that though?
The armor can very easily exist in both the mega and the non-mega timeline.
@@matthewdavenport9549 I figure because Wikstrom is an Elite Four member in the X and Y games, and those take place in the Mega Evolution multiverse.
@Stargazer Studios yes. And as I said, the armor would exist in both. The existence of the armor in PLA and XY has zero implication on whether or not SwSh takes place in the mega timeline.
I don't think you are your own ancestor, I think it is more of a situation that you work with your ancestor in the Hisui region (Rei/Akari) making the player and Lucas/Dawn distantly related.
yeah it means both the protangonist of diamond & pearl and the assistant of prof rowan are the descendents of the assistant of prof laventon
I was about to say this. They wouldn't have given the player characters different default names if they were intended to be the same kids from Diamond/Pearl.
Technically they never confirmed that Dawn and Lucas are related. It is possible that the Rei/Akari from the past is simply the ancestor of Rowan's assistant in the present. Though I do have a headcanon as Rei/Akari from the present being the child of Dawn and/or Lucas.
Travelled back to time
The plot of time travel into becoming you own ancestor is actually kinda common.
Off the top of my head Inuyasha is the other story I can think of.
They don't say it out right but Kigome's family are descendants of the shrine maiden that protected the tree that was the one Inuyasha was bound to. Before he was bound to it no one cared about the tree. Afterwards she ends up in their time and everyone refers to her as a shrine maiden as she has Holy powers she inherited from her ancestor, her reincarnate, and the last shrine maiden that was forged into the stone that was sealed in her body.
She went on to be with Inuyasha and they lived close to the tree and the well that she fell into that is far from the village due to it being seen as cursed. So their family is the only ones around to protect the tree for some time.
So after about 500 years her descendants genes lined up just right to look exactly like her, and her reincarnate, and this lead to this child to be the one the reincarnate soul bound itself too. Leading to the stone(which is bound to the reincarnate soul) growing within her until she was summoned at the beginning of the series.
The Porygon one is basically the Pokémon version of a bootstrap paradox.
I feel like the MC is from the future of a parallel universe. Then the MC would be crossing space and time, which would make more sense with the themes of the game. Mainly that there can’t be time without space and vice versa
Unless it isn't Lucas/Dawn but rather a character from another region.
In the end, arceus saying it is glad that it chose the player to bring to THIS WORLD adds to this theory
My thoughts exactly
@@revjackal8782 Heard theories on the player being Isekai'd
@@gustavju4686 i mean, that's essentially what happens with anything involving some sort of timey-wimey or spacey-wacey shenanigans. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon? technically an Isekai because you turn from a human on earth into a Pokemon, transported to another world for the sole purpose of saving it. Wizard101? Isekai. you are a human from earth that gets yoinked from it by Merle Ambrose to essentially save existence as we know it. (we are confirmed to be from Earth later in the story by a koala teacher named Zander in a place called the Arcanum in the later parts of the story)
In addition to the Galar thing, there's also the fact that on the front of the Galaxy Team's building, there's a big structure that's very clearly modeled after Galarian Weezing. With all of these hints, it definitely seems like they wanted to make it nearly impossible to miss the Galar connection, and that's not even to mention the curious Alola parallels.
means hisui is the fusion of galar and sinnoh
I just have one issue with the Galar connection: Galar is inspired by Great Britain but the people in Jubilife and the town itself have a lot of traditional Japanese references.
@@DracoSkyGX it makes sense, great Britain had a thing for expansion and colonization. If there were already people on hisui, which we know there were since the diamond and pearl clan exist, they were colonized by galar, but had enough power to stop any further takeover. Which is why Komodo doesn't want to upset the locals and risk being run out of the region.
@@talesfromatiredmind4785 But he’s very clearly from Johto. Like, they even give him a Kansai dialect in the Japanese version of the game, while it’s only Laventon that occasionally speaks in English.
I really don’t think Kamado and Beni are from Galar. First of all, the name “Kamado” sounds Japanese and not English/Western, and Beni is skilled at making mochi and is a freakin’ ninja, for goodness sake! I suspect they’re both most likely from Johto, since Beni mentioned his and Kamado’s village was destroyed by a Pokémon, which might have been the town where the Lake of Rage is, and in the Japanese version of the game, Kamado briefly speaks in a Kansai dialect, which the Johto games imply the people of that region to speak since it’s based on Japan’s Kansai region and all that. If Kamado was from Galar, he’d probably throw in some English words like Laventon does.
While Kamado’s armor is from Galar, he probably just got it from there since European armor was a bit stronger than Japanese armor back then, though really, you know it was actually because the developers already had that design from that Elite Four guy from Kalos and it was probably just easier to use that model instead of creating a brand new design lol.
Also, similar to Britain’s relationship with India, it’s possible that Laventon might originally be from an India-based region and then moved to Galar before coming to Hisui.
That may be true because professor Laventon reference to Copperajah or Cufant and their not native to the galar region .
This seems way more accurate than what a lot of poketubers are saying about Kamado and Beni's origin. It was interesting to see how so many people interpreted Kamado's change in dialect to be British/Galarian. But often in Japanese media, a change in dialect that implies informality, just as you said, is meant to mean that person has a Kansai dialect.
I'm also not really a fan of poketubers saying that Laventon is Hop and Leon's ancestor 100%. They look nothing alike aside from their skin color, and in the official art book, his hair wasn't even the right color. All the ancestors in the game have a way more obvious resemblance to them than Laventon x Hop/Leon. It just irks me bc it's borderline "all brown people are related".
Tanjiro kamado?
@@iceooze220 same with krikatot is from africa
@@justinromero8859 there is not many more options anyway and the hair color can change over generations
I’ve been thinking that the professor’s assistant (Reí or Akari) are both Lucas and Dawn’s ancestors
They’re also probably the ancestor of Red since both names mean “red” and they have a Pikachu.
Well, Lucas and Dawn DO resemble each other so the may indeed be related, and descend both from the NPC Rei/Akari.
Yeah makes more sense that Dawn and Lucas are cousins and possibly paternal cousins seen as we never see player Dad's beside in Hoenn
Very much disagree that the townsfolk (and Kamado) are "heavily implied" to be Galarian. Let's not forget, Galar is based on the UK, while Jubilife has very traditional Japanese influences. As far as I know, the period that the game is based on is around the time when Japan had begun trade with the west, so it's natural that one would see a lot of "Galarian" influences, from some of the architecture, to Kamado's armour.
or, what if they were from Galar but adopted culture of the other "japan-based" regions in the pokemon world? or is that what you meant?
So, basically Legends Arceus is set in a Meiji restoration kind of setting. Distinctly Japanese but becoming modernised.
Kamado is from Johto, when losing his composure in Japanese he changes to Kansai dialect which is the region Johto is based.
I personally don't think Commander Kamado (and Beni) are from Galar at all. In the Japanese versions of the game sometimes he slips in a Kansai dialect, which is usually common in characters from Johto such as Bill. His armor is indeed Galarian but Kamado himself maybe is from Johto, possibly from Lake of Rage or Mahogany Town
Perhaps he’s half Galarian half Johtoan?
Also, the home village of Komado and Beni was destroyed by the rambaging Pokémon that was in the rage, just as modern Pokedex tells about Gyarados and the ancient city, that was destroyed by Gyarados, is associated with Johto region. And in some game was mentioned that on the shores of Lake Rage was once a city that was destroyed, if I remember correctly.
I'd much rather them being from Johto. I try to forget Galar exists.
Edit: Also why didn't the video reference the Galarian Weezing? It would have helped the theory tbh.
@@MagusAgrippa8 maybe, maybe not, but he could have married a Galarian woman there is a portrait of him and a lady in a white dress in his desk
@@danielmalinen6337 Yeah I also thinks his village/town was destroyed by a Gyarados and Beni's ninja attire could be an indication that he is from Mahogany which in the past was a hideout for ninjas
Since Copperajah is not originally from Galar but has migrated from elsewhere, people have speculated wildly that Professor Laventon would be from Copperajah's homeland which may be India or it based on India.
This doesn't make sense though.
It's based on the Raichu dex entry but, the dex entry says the Copperajah of MY homeland. This does not mean that his homeland must also be copperajah's homeland. Just that copperajah exist in his homeland. Which would 100% have already been the case for Galar.
2:14 Is When The Actual Video Starts, Your Welcome.
You are amazing
Philip J Fry?
😂😂😂
It took me too long to figure out Laventon was Hop and Leon’s ancestor. Blew my mind when I made the connection.
He's not though. In the official art book for the game, his hair color is not only a different color, but it also doesn't reference Leon or Hop's hair.
Not all brown people are related lol
@@justinromero8859 no mames
This theory is also strengthened by the Arceus event that was just released in BDSP. Since you need a Legends Arceus completed save (and you get an Azure Flute in PLA), this kinda implies that you inherited the flute from the Legends Arceus protagonist (in terms of game lore anyways).
As much as I love that connection with Hisuian Growlithe, I don't think that was intentional. Its Japanese name of Gardie aside, it more likely got its name from the word "lithe", meaning agile, which makes sense with both it and Arcanine being pretty speedy. It's still a nice little coincidence that "lithe" and "lith" match well enough to make a variant typing joke, at least :3
True but Growlithe is based on lion dog statues. So in a sense the idea did come from stone.
@@KestralKuthule Good point, I was just saying the localizers might not've picked up on the stone statue part of the inspo or suspected it ever becoming more literal (as far as influences for adding a rock-typing are concerned at least) way back in the 90s hehe.
That you are your own ancestor thing is kind of sad actually, especially since its after youve made a team and become Champion. One day all of a sudden you disappear and your pokemon from Diamond and Pearl suddenly have no trainer and dont know where you went. Its like Fry and his dog in Futurama
It also means that your bloodline ends with you looping back around unless your family branched out some more.
Actually I think it's the player from the platinum series since Giratina's actions in platinum matches with Giratina's mission to protect Hisui. Also there was a theory of Necrozma resetting the pokeverse ( leading to let's go Eevee/Pikachu). So the player could literally be the sole survivor.
It's maybe possible that after traveling back in time Lucas/Dawn didn't have kids in hisui or interact with thier actually ancestors that way they won't effect thier family tree or make things wierd.
That seems unlikely. The theory rests mostly on the fact that you can't find your own ancestor in the game. So if the player charakter is stuck there what else are they going to do?
NO THAT'S WRONG !!!
The protagonist of legends is officially named Rei for male and Akari for female
@@shelbybayer200 Yeah but they only exist if you are playing their counterpart.
Mate they are partners with akari or rei. They are friends with their ancestor already, how is that not interacting.
Take a shot every time Hoops says “mindblown”
Man my head spinning
For what we know Kamado could have just got the armor somehow and I don't think it outright confirms that he's "galarian". But who knows? Maybe?
Yeah, totally purposeful decisions in charactet design that are completely irrelevant or meant to 'throw you off'. Yup, that's how design works.
He also has a British accent that he tries to hide
@@DarthMolgy The accent is actually a Kansai one, on Japanese the accent that he uses when losing his cool in the Kansai dialect.
“You’re your own ancestor” brings a whole new meaning to you look just like your grandpa/ma
You’re your own ancestors?
Do Lucas and Dawn lack the Delta brainwave because of this
**Philip J Fry would like to know your location**
It’s also possible that you play as the assistant from DPPt., and the Survey Corps member is the protagonist’s ancestor.
So true. That would be a twist!
However, I still think that the Survey Corps member Is Rowan's assistant's ancestor.
Or you are Rowan's assistants ancestor while the assistant in Arceus is your ancestor.
In turn makein the longest ever lineage from one assistant to the next
Kamado isn't actually confirmed to be from Galar. His armor is. In the Japanese version he takes on a Kansai dialect meaning that he could be from Johto. Actually, given what we know of Johto, he is probably from the town that was destroyed by Gyarados (now the Lake of Rage). Which is funny as that would mean Beni is from Johto, just like the Gen 3 P.C.
Actually I have the feeling that i have a lot of explanations for the "you are your own ancestor thing" as well as the few mysteries that are involved with it and the future. First thing first yes you are one of the ancestors to yourself in a way. I feel that the player character is the one from platinum for whom defeated team galactic and caught the legends and all that. That said U are pulled back in time to stop a volo's plan and by doing so locks you in the past with no way to return. While this is true you actions did have an effect on the future such as befriending choy who thanks to you never has the issues he had which would prob affect his descendant preventing them from getting into team galactic as well as many other changes that affected the world. Now here is something people did not think of is that your ancestor still exist but to whom that is is somewhat ironic. See your ancestor was never yourself but the rival character regardless of who you choose. Akari for the sake of most people chose the male is the ancestor to both dawn and lucas for whom over generations like everyone families split and a lot of people within an area can find common ancestry from a long time ago. There is a chance that you do marry your rival as well which would make it like a futurama like thing but I think that is a little much. For the pokemon you captured well this goes down to the age old question of what happens to pokemon when their trainer dies. U was not going to be like 300+ year ash so it is likely your mons was released at some point even to the point that they was given final wishes by you to help your descendant later hence why the do the things they do in bdsp and the og games. Now one last thing I think is happening and this is why I mentioned you are the one from platinum is that I think you or your rival would be the ancestors not of the ones in Platinum or the og games but of those in bdsp which is a new timeline you created while you in the platinum timeline disappeared. Got to love time travel science and theories.
Actually, this is the best explanation i ever read respect this theme, i wish this were 100% canon
Holy crap this sounds good 👍
Since Pokemon OR/AS G.F. was teasing something like this. Hoopa rings opening portals to other dimensions and times to bring other pokemon.
Pokemon Sun/Moon with the Ultra Space, making you go to other dimensions in time where Ultra beasts went.
In OR/AS more or less implied this happened to Locker (also lost partially his memory)
In Sun/Moon more or less implied that Anabel came from the original Emerald game (also lost partially her memory)
I bet Ultra Sun/Moon also has something about it (I didn't play those)
I'm playing Pokemon Sword right now and I'll keep my eye peeled for some stuff like this (Which I may have found, but not sure yet)
@@dlib89 I feel that the ultra beast are from a dimension where evolution of pokemon went into a different direction and the eternatus its that worlds version of arceus. That said it is not as powerful thus while arceus can transport someone with no ill effects those that are transported by eternatus have the back effect of loosing ones memory.
@@nathanmcclung3564 It seems a plausible theory. Ultrabeasts are still counted as pokemon, so I don't think they are that far off from common pokemon (aside looks)

Laventon isn't from Galar. We know that he's from the same region that Copperajah is originally from but don't forget that Copperajah isn't native to Galar.
It could very well be the case that Copperajah were imported to Galar before the time that Laventon had been part of the region
It's likely Laventon's ancestry goes back to an Indian based region but his family currently resides in Galar. Much like how many Pakistani's now reside in Britain.
Barring official direct confirmation, Laventon is definitely from Galar. He is very obviously related to Hop and Leon, based on their similar appearance, and even clothing, as well as a mountain of circumstantial evidence, such as him speaking with a British dialect, and him being a professor, just like Hop eventually became.
The dex entry involving Copperajah isn’t saying that Laventon is from where Copperajah is originally from. This is actually yet another hint that Laventon is from Galar, because Copperajah debuted in the Galar region, and would have already been in the region when Laventon lived there, hence why he mentions his “homeland” in the dex entry.
Except, what if Copperajah has been sent to Galar long before Legends Arceus ?
Lithe means "possessing effortless grace" which suits it and Arcanine 😊
As for Growlithe I think Hisui's is only Hisui's, because in the yellow pokedex we are told that growlithe have been friends with humans since the stone age, but Hisui's Growlithe have lived without humans for a few years, transforming in the Hisuian version, in fact they are very suspicious according to the official website.
Also the "Lith" in its English name most likely has nothing to do with stone. Rather it is the word "lithe" in reference to its agility.
I would say that you are correct in that. Hisuian Growlithe are just variants of the standard Kantonian version. The Growlithe we see in modern Sinnoh were probably brought to the region and either breed with the local Hisuian Growlithe and the genes of the Kanto version won out or they were simply out competed by the Kanto Growlithe.
It’s also called growlithe because growlithe has inspiration from statues, made of stone. Also dogs have been friends with humans for a while and 100 years before now the breeds had noticeably different traits from the modern versions of the same breed.
3:55 Is it directly confirmed that Kamado came from Galar? I was under the impression that he (and Beni) were of the Celestica people, as their hometown was wiped out, Beni is a ninja (unlikely to be from Galar), and when Kamado apologises to you, he mentions something like "for the Celestica people", which would be unusual if he were just a settler from Galar. I'd thought that the Galarian armour was just something that Laventon might've gifted to Kamado. Though I haven't quite beaten the game yet, so perhaps there's dialogue confirming where Kamado is from later on?
He straight up mentions how he first arrived in Hisui on Prelude beach..
It isn't 100% confirmed he is from Galar but, it would be odd to make such a big deal about him always wearing the Galarian armor every time he battles if he isn't.
Okay that's fair, I'm about to battle him on Prelude Beach so I guess he's about to tell me lol
Someone else (Chuck Morris was his name) hinted that the disaster they ran from is the "Darkest Day" story from Galar.
@モオレロレン unlikely. PLA occurs 200ish years ago. The darkest day was 3000 years ago.
@@matthewdavenport9549 Ooooh, theory debunked 😔
The way I saw it was that Lucas/Dawn get transported into the consciousness of their ancestor, rather than the character not existing, probably getting returned after the space-time rift closes
But that means someone must know who the MCs are during that period. Plus we know they actually fell from the rift.
Then why would they have had their modern clothes, no home or family?
And let's not forget that Kamado wearing that set of Galarian armour also confirms that Wikstrom is from Galar as it's the exact same armour that he wears except black instead of silver.
This feels like that Futurama episode where Fry became his own GrandFather
I've seen this in a lot of videos that Laventon is Leon and Hop's ancestor, but what if he is Chairmen Rose and Peony's ancestor? Also if Laventon is Hop and Leon's ancestor, that means he could also be Iris' as well.
I just thought of something. Didn’t Beni say that he and Kamado witnessed thier home town be destroyed by rampaging Pokémon? And throughout the game Kamado mentions that they came Hisui in order to live a life without war and fear? What if those Pokémon were gigantimaxed and galar we also know that in Kalos there was a war in the ancient past so what if these events are related?
Could have been Eternatus
3:12 I wouldn't call Laventon Galarian as of mentioned from Raichu's pokedex entry states that he's from the region which Copperaja originates(South Asia)
But Copperaja is also found in Galar. Hell, it's the only region we know of, that we've seen it in.
@@motherurck7542 well pancham is based on a panda yet can be found in Kalos? a pokemon debuting in a generation doesnt mean they're native to that region.
@@hasibrahim No shit. But the fact is, the idea that Prof is from a region we don't even know exists, just based on that means nothing.
We know Copperjah is in Galar. That's all we know at this point in time.
My guess is indiasingapore indonasia
For now all we know is that Laventon is from a place where Copperajah are. Add in the fact that he always speaks with some very English slang points him in the direction that he's from Galar as that place is the only one so far that is based on an English speaking place, uses that slang, and has Copperajah there.
1st point makes sense. Galar, based on the UK, conquering land for themselves
But they never conquered Japan, which is what bugs me a lot. So far, the Pokémon series was somewhat accurate to the real world. Even PLA is a fantastic retelling of how Hokkaido was colonized by the Japanese who gave the island a new name.
Therefore, a more accurate lore would have Hisui colonized by people from Kanto.or Johto. Even Hoenn would have been better than Galar. But alas, this is Gen 8 so there must be a Galar connection no matter how little sense It makes, hence why Hisui was founded by Galarians.
@@VeggiePopper well it was at the time when Japan opened to the west and imported quite a lot of british stuff so it does actually make sense. The theory that Hisui was colonized by Galarians also doesn't realy have any evidence behind it, sure Laventon is from Galar (in irl i would say he is specifically from British-India) and Kamado may have a Galarian wife but thats it.
Lithe means supple and graceful. You can't remove the e from lithe in growlithes name just to connect a theory. I'd like to thank DBD for teaching me the word lithe
If it were from that, then the e wouldn't be silent.
@Darth Sanguine you're right on that. I still think it's a stretch of a theory. It would imply gamefreak had this in their minds since growlithes creation in gen 1
Remember Arcanine is seem on the stone wall with all the other Legendaries
I don't think the player character is their own ancestor. Having the space, time, and God pokemon, I think they would be able to go to their own time at any point if they wanted. But I do think the professors assistant is definitely the players ancestor.
As for porygon, their is a possibility that the hisui pokedex could be lost or damaged by the modern day. We have plenty of old books with missing or destroyed pages. So by modern day, porygon and fosls could still be discovered without anyone knowing they had been seen in the past.
I find these lores very interesting, but for the "being your own ancestor" theory, could it be possible that you actually play as the ancestor of Lucas or Dawn that becomes Professor Rowan's assistant depending on the gender you choose in Diamond or Pearl? Cause maybe this idea may give reason as to why either one became Rowan's assitant in the first place, which would be due to ancestral friendly ties.
Otherwise in the words of Futurama you'll be implying that you "did the nasty in the pasty" lol.
You know what thats actually whats on my mind. The player of Legends is the ancestor of the assistant instead of Johanna’s kid. I mean they are trying to make pokedex and studying Pokemon. That sound like what the assistant did.
*Character models based off characters from other games*
Poketubers: THIS IS DEFINITIVE PROOF EVERYONE IS EVERYONE’S ANCESTOR!!!
My co worker has a theory that would suggest that the player character is from kalos, based on the shirt we wear at the start of the game.
And in my opinion I think adaman is the ancestor to acerola in alola.
Except the female trainer wears a shirt from Galar. So the player character is from either Kalos or Galar depending on who you’re playing as.
@@CaylasCapsule interesting, I didn’t know that
Commander Kamado wears sick armor similar to knight elite four member in Gen 6.(I know his name but can't spell it right)
These are some interesting lore for the Pokemon and it's quite a bit of world building. One thing's for certain is that the community of pokemon fans, the ones that do fakemon and fakemon region, will have fun in doing their own version of Pokemon legends explaining the past of their region. Maybe we may get to see a past version of your region of Norcloh in the future with past pokemon forms. Who knows?
Here's a fan theory that could use a little more looking into at the beginning of Legends Arceus. While you are in the time portal, your ancestor is also being brought to the present day. I do believe with the time-travel shenanigans in the game. It could be easily believed that it was a time swap for you and your ancestor.
We need a legend kanto explaining all the old Pokémon with Agatha and oaks relationship, ghost types becoming poison types. Basically everything that was a single type and flying types
Actually, the MC for Arceus is implied to have been transported to the Pokémon world from another one via isekai. So probably not the whole “your own ancestor thing” like in Futurama.
Speaking of people being from galar when you first enter the games take a look at your shirt. There is a logo on your shirt from one of the brands you get in the shops in galar.
I've been thinking about the "Dawn & Lucas being their own ancestors " thing lately, and I've started to think it might be more likely that Lucas and Dawn are reincarnations of Akari and Rei. It would be a simple in-universe way to explain why both the player and assistant characters look identical to their modern counterparts, even though only one of them traveled back through time. Arceus sent one to deal with the Space-Time Rift, they lived out their life in Hisui, then both were reincarnated to deal with Cyrus. Maybe they still are their own ancestors, or maybe they were reborn into a family they had no previous relation to.
There is one big problem: reincarnation isn't really well stablished in game lore ,the most we have is either human to pokémon, or pokémon to pokémon, never human to human, which makes your theory unfinished at best.
@@arthurlevi5403 Not exactly a lot of lore dealing with time loops, either.
@@AceRide We alredy have time travel in legends arceus thanks to Ingo we don't need to pull a legend of Zelda and have reincarnation cicles to overcomplicate things,as hillarious as that would be.
@@arthurlevi5403 Wouldn't really overcomplicate things anymore than they already are, it's a cyclical time loop/paradox with both theories. Human reincarnation hasn't been a thing in the main series prior to Legends Arceus, but neither has time travel. You can't use one to rule out the possibility of the other when both are new concepts to the series. Not to mention that the player character literally has to be reborn in order to go back in time to begin with. The assistant character is the only one my theory would really effect
@@AceRideI forgot to mention the Celebi event in HG/SS and some theories like Guzzlords World being a post apocaliptic Alola. Your theory is still one Lore reveal away from working, making it feel like a stretch.I wasn't being that serious with the previous comment I'm sorry.
I can only assume the most definitive proof you're your own ancestor is that it results in something like Fry in Futurama where your character is genetically brain-damaged enough to have an outsider take control of them to do everything from become a master pokemon trainer to walking into a wall for hours on end.
_"Oh, a lesson in not changing history from Mr. "I'm my own grandpa"."_
When the giant brains attack, Rei/Hikari will be immune.
Thumbnail: So you're saying you did the nasty in the past-y? Do I really want to know about this past-nastification?
This channel consistently has the best Pokemon content on yt, hands down. Great job!!
I guess this also means that the humans of the Pokemon world don't have the same ethnic diversity as in our world, and are all the same. So even if a region is based on a real world country, and the people there dress similar to the real world counterpart, doesn't mean the people there are of that ethnicity.
I love the porygon fact!!
Excellent video as always! I love the way you talk and i have been doing “talk’alone” with your videos to practice my conversational English!
Speaking of MC Origins I think he's actually from our Universe rather than future as he didn't had a Rotom-phone, it was more of a normal phone which we use.
We already saw that everyone had a Rotom phone in Sword & Shield even the player character who wasn't even a trainer
Exactly, Pokemon Legends Arceus
Is Pokemon Isekai the game
So does that mean that Ingo is also the ancestor of himself? Good god lmao-
I didn't realize Professor Laventon Pant's is the same as Leon's champion shirt
You're overthinking the Galar descendant thing. For instance, Beni's a ninja. Kamado is a Japanese word, specifically referring to a type of wood fueled stove(ironic, as Rowan is named after a kind of oak tree.) Kamado's armor may have been given to him by someone from the Galar region. Remember that he still wears a headband while wearing the armor and otherwise looks and behaves in ways which are traditionally Japanese.
Long story short, you can't let one thing you see distract you from the rest of what's shown.
It blows my mind how Porygon didn’t get a Normal/Grass form and an evolution called Porygami. The reference is right there lmao
Lillie: “So if I take the body of Akari would that make me now…?”
Hey Hoops. I know this video is almost two years old already but hear me out. My theory is the ansector of the player character is the one of the opposite gender. Rei is the ancestor of Dawn and Akari is the ancestor of Lucas. The player goes back in time and meets their ancestor instead of becoming them.
so Rei is like Fry from Futurama?
He's his own grandfather minus the incest?
This truly is mind blowing love the game more now
This is bizarre paradox…!
Just because Kamado has Galarian armor doesn't just make him Galarian
I find the idea that you play as your own ancestor in Legends to be deeply disturbing. All the people you become friends with and all the pokemon you look after and care for would be worried sick about where you are and you don't even know they exist.
I think that kamado’s backstory that led him to move to hisui and start jubilife is the darkest day that sword and shield’s story is focused on
Never thought of that. Really good point.
Darkest day is little bit older then this game by a couple of centuries
The Growlithe and Arcanine theory is a little muddy if you go to the Japanese names since they have no references to stone, and Arcanine’s Japanese name takes more from the wind
Also the "lith" in its name is spelled as the word "lithe" and in all likelihood means just that.
Real world lore hisuian Growlithe may be a beta version of kantonian Growlithe before a revise which explains the name staying the same
Fry and I have a lot in common if I'm my own grandpa
"ooh a lesson in not changing history..."
Hey Hoops, did you see the official artwork for Laventon? Some people are speculating that his descendants might be Rose and Peony.
Brittish colonization was so widespread it’s even in Pokémon.
I love that he named his rival Butt in BDSP
I guess the sun never sets on the Galarian Empire, they managed to colonize a part of Japan which the real life British Empire never did
The Growlithe bit is the most interesting to me. Because they designed that Pokémon nearly 2 decades before Legends Arceus was even in development. So I’m not sure if it was named with that purpose in mind and I doubt they had that translation of “lithe” in mind when designing it. At least in the capacity that Growlithe had an ancestor that Fire-rock type,
One thing: Laventon is not from Galar, but the region that Copperajah was from originally. So basically he's from the Pokemon version of India.
Lucas and Dawn exist because of time paradox and that they are their own ancestor. This sounds familiar 🤔.
Remembering Futurama episode that involved time travel and Roswell.
Professor Farnsworth speaking to Fry: Isn't it obvious?
(Fry shaking his head.)
Professor Farnsworth: You are!
(Fry realizes that he is his own grandfather and screams.)
Me: Similar.
Something interesting is the fact that you can't find either Magnemite or Magneton in the wild anywhere in Hisui (only space-time distortions), but you can find Magnezone flying around on the overworld. Maybe Magnezones are actually an alien species and that's their true form and Magnemite is some kind of involution from them?
The Porygon related madness goes even deeper...
For the folks that remember the old Twitter timeline confirming how the first five or six Generations lined up, you might remember that the Johto games were supposedly happening just a bit before the Sinnoh games. At a glance that seemed fine, but there was one problem...
The Dubious Disc.
If we're to assume that Porygon development was happening at a somewhat reasonable pace, it wouldn't actually have made sense for Silph Co. to come up with the Upgrade at their Kanto branch just barely before programmers in Sinnoh manage to iterate on something that wasn't even widely distributed.
But throw the space-time paradoxes into the mix and it fixes the problem in an odd way. Essentially, with the distortions disgorging all sorts of atemporal oddities in Hisui, there's a non-zero chance that a wild population of Porygon2 could've survived into the modern day Sinnoh for the local pokemon research team to properly study and attempt to mash together an Upgrade variant for the few that were shipped to the regional Battle complex(es).
This is some Futurama level idea.
It could be possible that the player and Akari are the ancestors of this games future Dawn/Lucas, as I don't think the playable was pulled from the future setting of that game.
Laverton is most likely the ancestor of both Hop and Leon.
Kamodo is most likely the ancestor of both Professor Rowan and Kalos E4 member Wikstrom.
The rest seems obvious, more or less.
Galar: *founds Sinnoh*
Galar, immediately: And what can we SAAAAAY except you're welcome!
Hoops, dude... Rei/Akari is Dawn and Lucas ancestor. Stand's to reason that canonically, either Arceus or Dialga and Palkia will return you, and everyone else that's not from that world, to their respective worlds.
In regards of we being out own ancestor, I have my own theory. Yes, we are our own ancestor, but not at the same time. I think our character comes from the originals DPPt, but PLA takes place in the BDSP timeline. That way, we can still pull a Phillip J Fry but not cause any paradox.
Lithe means agile, which is part of growlithes name
Thing is, at the start of the game, the character has a unova trainer shirt. Maybe Rai/Akari are from unova, Or we chould say that Luke/Dawn just went on a trip to unova and got send back in time by Arceus
Studying That Family Tree Is Gonnabe Wild.
Even though the space time rift closes at the end of the game, I'm pretty sure your player CAN still get back to the future. They literally own the Gods of space, time, creation, and the God that made the space time rift in the first place.
Don't forget the fact that pokemon and humans married and conceived children in the past as well which in my opinion is mind blowing and explains Mr. Mime could possibly be Ash Ketchums biological Dad
If the “You are your own ancestor” theory is true. Does that mean that Arceus just throws me into a world that I don’t recognize and I clean up all the problems in this region and he doesn’t send me home? C’mon Arceus! I have a family back there!
“Rewriting history” There is no rewriting history here. It just adds more information to the character we know.
Okay - so I wanna bring a few things to the table regarding the "you are your own ancestor" theory, not to debunk it or anything but just to let everyone know of some more information. So first of all, this theory is basically assuming that you from PL:A is the same character as you from DPPt/BDSP - which, fair, they look very similar, but it's never been confirmed they were the same people. Second of all, I think it's actually more likely for your rival Akari/Rei to be your ancestor in the game, and you to be your DPPt rival's ancestor. Hear me out, in the french translation of the games, Dawn's and Lucas's names are Aurore and Louka, and Akari and Rei's names are Lucia and Aurel. Hear the similarities between Aurel and Aurore, Lucia and Louka ? I think they were definitely trying to imply that Akari is Lucas's ancestor, and Rei is Dawn's - which would go against the "you're your own ancestor" theory. Then again, this theory is really cool, and it's really fun to think about, so make yourself your own opinion.
I think the next game might be a back in time version of galar where you are the hero that helps zacian and zamazenta to end the big pokemon war
my guess is they´ll do Unova first, if they do the same as here and make remakes to publish along a Legends game and bw is up next in line for a remake
Basically, everyone from the Pokémon universe is now descended from Galar. How realistic for a region based off Britain
theory:
hisuian and kantonian electrode and voltorb aren't the same. and the kantonians are just name voltorb and electrode cause of they're similarities
