Speaking as someone who will almost definitely never own any of these, I agree with everything said except that I simply am not overly keen on some of Vacheron's designs, specifically the bezels on the overseas. I can at least from pictures appreciate the craftsmanship and luxury and I'm sure in person that I'd appreciate them even more but for some reason I've never quite been enticed by their designs the way I have patek's, so despite the bonkers pricing of patek, if I were ever in a position to buy a watch from one of the big three, I have a hard time imagining it wouldn't be a calatrava. They are already ridiculous money but man if patek doesn't always scream luxury to my eye.
AP saved the luxury industry with the first steel watch marketed as luxury which now accounts for the vast majority of all luxury watches from all brands
Not being an integrated sports watch guy, it comes down to Patrimony vs Calatrava for me. I love them both and manual wind Patrimony's are almost affordable.
Totally agree with everything in this clip! Huge VC fan and have all three brands in my collection, so can make an informed commentary. The overseas is a stunning watch and the 222 I would agree in the best integrated bracelet watch period.
Good video Rudi, thanks. I'll never afford these brands but can appreciate them. VC seems to have the most versatility of the three and is my favourite.
agreed.... VC has the best collection and diversity... truely underrated... from the beautiful dress watches to the 222 and the blue overseas, they have something truely spectacular for everyone...
I disagree my friend. AP Royal oak is what we define what a normal daily wear would be. When you can see the finish work versus the Quartz crisis then you can see why luxury is what bring the emotion.
Well swatch saved the cheap watches yeah but the ap Royal Oak saved the luxury watch industry which is the high end Swiss made stuff as I said! Both saved the different parts of the industry

Swatch saved the Swiss watch industry. The Royal Oak just saved AP.

@WatchConnoisseurClub I see your point. The truth is - they probably both did together.

Vintage calatrava and patrimony are so nice too

Awesome! Mind me asking what 3 you have?

Awesome! And yeah I’ll probably never have any of them either but I can dream lol xD
VC 222 is one of my grails but it’s like 70 grand😭

Fully agree! Can’t say enough how great VC’s collections are!
It feels so good to say that "Audemars Piguet" is trash. Dunno why 😂😂
Lol xD
Eh, the overseas is probably my favorite of everything VC put out compared to the 222.
That blue dial is so good
@@WatchConnoisseurClubif you ever find yourself near me in person (we'll have to coordinate), happy to have you shoot mine in rose blue.
222 > royal oak > nautilus
Completely agree, on point lad
Royal Boak
Vacheron Constantin is daddy
Agreed.
im sorry, but ap didnt save the industry, it saved ap and luxury watches. The true savior of the entire industry is swatch and we all know it!

As an Arab and a student of history … I won’t buy a watch with a crusader cross on it so A.P. gets an east win here. ❤
That’s fair enough! A.P is still an amazing brand, just patek and VC are two of my favourites
