The girls are so lucky to have a great dad who cares so much about them. With all the bad going on in the world, watching your videos puts me back into a far better mood and reminds me there is still good left here in America. God Bless!
My father was killed by a drunk driver before he could teach me how to change a tire or maintain a car. Love the way you're raising your daughters.....Great skills to have, they're fine independent young ladies
This video popped up in my feed and I love it. My Daughter and Son are both adults with their own children now. Ten years ago, scenes like this were a normal, every day thing in my life. Now as adults, they still pick on each other in fun but are much closer. I think the arguments when they were younger actually brought them closer. Thank for sharing.
Awesome that your teaching your girls like this. Everyone needs to know how to deal with a car if they drive. No days it's just call someone on the cell phone and wait for help.
It's great that you're teaching your daughters how to maintain a car. I had no idea all of the different fluids that went into a car, or how often to check or change them when I got my first car. Girls should be encouraged to take an auto shop class in high school so they'll know as much as they can in order to help maintain their cars.
I had to buy my own vehicle, I had to buy my own insurance, I had to learn to change tires, and grease bearings. I also had to learn to check the oil - on every fuel tank fill. My brothers had to learn to fix their own vehicles. I was never 'given' anything from my father, we had to pay for everything. A little gratitude and thankfulness would go a long way.
Enjoy them. Memories. All of our 6 kids use Mommy's car. But They had to have a job, learn the basic, tire changing, oil check, They even had to put gas when they use it and my gopher, pick up milk, etc. We only gave them $500 down for their first car. They had to maintain it, paid for their own insurance. If it's theirs, the took care of it better than mom's car, van, ....
My first car was a 1965 VW bug I believe I paid $500 for it. I learned that an air cooled car has some great advantages when it is 10 below zero outside. It was a great dependable simple car..
All you need to do was change the wheel caps from Audi to Volkswagen. Skoda, Audi ,Volkswagen and Seat have interchangeable parts. Especially easy on your pocket.
You got a great music taste. Sometimes it’s a little ‚different‘, but it always fits. I love ur happy family too! Wish u all great success in the pursuit of happiness.
I have a 2000 jetta TDI and my wife has a 2004 jetta wagon TDI. ALH and BEW. Good luck with the turbo. I sprayed carb cleaner down my turbo EGR connection which really helped a lot. This after I put evaporust on the actuator lever. 150K and going strong.
before I wrote this, I said to myself that you would do that!. On the BEW, the vaccum actuator rusted out so I got a replacement actuator and had to adapt the rod so that it would fit.
Great deal, wish I could find something like that to go back and forth to work. At 12 mpg in my 91 Dodge W150 and 15 mpg in the wife's 05 Dodge 1500 gas goes pretty quick.
Grmlin67 friend of mine bought a state vehicle blazer with all the bells and whistles for $5,000 then he hit a deer and he was crying destroyed the thing but I tell you the think it almost make you an espresso or tell you how hot your butt was in the sea t
And if the body on one of the diesels gets wrecked but the engine is fine you can pair it with a 3 phase motor of the same or less hp of the engine to create a generator. Only thing better then a diesel generator is a wood gas one as fuel for them do grow on trees.
Nice to see girls know how to change tires and work on cars. They are sisters they are always friends juts most times they will hate each other LOL.Nice buy
Great lessons - great deal. You obviously don't live around this part of the country LOL. Sibling battles - aaaarggghh. At least with boys we'd duke it out and then be friends or at least civil; ...until the next eruption of war between us. Wonderful you had her changing the tires - sure your kids have learned to 'work' if they want to 'get'.
Hey man just wanted to say that I love your Channel, what an inspiration I to hope to have some land and live off grid One day soon I hope anyways just saying hi from Sedona Arizona 👍🏼
Chad, Thanks for the support... Spent lots of time in your neck of the woods. When I was 18 I spent 3 months in the bloody basin living off the land. I developed my love of the red rocks and high Arizona desert in the process. Take care!
Wow. I can't believe your girls act like........... teenage sisters! Lol. At least you're keeping it real though. In 7 years I'll have 4 teenage daughters at the same time! Wish me luck!
Start practicing meditation techniques now..as a father of a daughter, who welcomed twin girls just 16 months later..and went through the teenage yrs., I'm scared to tell you what your going to go through later ;) mine were all good as gold, until later teenage yrs., then late teens they put me through heck and back..but they all made it through college, all doing very well, no drugs and no babies (until the one had hers at 28, after she was married 2 yrs.) and surprisingly as much as they fought as teens..they are best friends now..except when they get into minor squabbles.
Oh !!!! Love these girls. I get that sisterly love. (They probably already are best friends, parents just don't know it) I grew up with 6 sisters and one brother. We would have had everyone soaked before it was over. Including POP! LOL.
So, did you ever get the power back? Besides cleaning all the EGR carbon build-up that might be clogging the intake, cleaning the intake snowscreen, etc, you might try crawling under the car and looking up (after taking off the skid plate) at the vacuum hose connected to the turbo actuator diaphragm. I have the exact same ALH TDI VW Beetle (mine is 2001), and mine had a vacuum hose that was too short from the factory. The vacuum hose was stretched tight to get all the way from the vacuum control solenoid down to that turbo actuator, bent at a right angle at the turbo actuator nipple, and eventually rubbed a hole right through the rubber due to being stretched so tight and the engine vibration over the years. Without a good solid vacuum line to that turbo actuator, you won't get the turbo to engage fully or at all if the vacuum leak is severe enough. I bought a nice long, thick walled, replacement rubber hose from McMaster Carr that made a HUGE improvement in my car's turbo boost. Very easy to install, once you know about it. I swear, when I replaced that faulty vacuum line, the turbo boost was better than when my car was brand new (since there were no holes or kinks in the line now)! Good luck to you and your ALH TDI Beetle! VROOM VROOOOM!!
I also have a alh beetle. Legit clean the inside of the engine of carbon build up and maybe replace headers and it will run amazing. Also have a look at your injectors.
Just did the EGR delete. It was plugged up. I'm going to pull the turbo and intake and clean it. I did the Liqui moly diesel purge on the pump and injectors.
Volkswagen Diesel engines are generally bomb proof, unfortunately their turbos leave much to be desired. You know you have a problem when they start to use too much oil. I hadn't read up enough and blew my turbo at 260000km. I had a 2l140bhp motor in my taxi. The fix was cheap but the garage was not too good...at least it was under warranty. I sold it 650000km no problems.
What a great family!!!! The bust some heads comment I don't think they are taking it too seriously! :) I also have two daughters among the boys. so I know when I am wrapped around a finger! well... I guess that is pretty much all the time. sigh! :) I always wanted to get one of these tdi's and put the vegetable oil conversion on it... seems like a fun idea anyhow. :)
Well if it's a 2002 it has the alh tdi in it which only made 91 up at the crank stock, but deleting the egr and Injector nozzles really wake those things up while only losing about 2 or 3 mpg 😁
I'm on Cheyenne's side. Sage's behaviour reminds me of my elder brother... and nope, we never became best friends, very far from that. Some people think they're entitled to everything (even after ruining a car, for instance) and some wounds never heal.
yeah friend of mines daughters., i known them since lil kids. they are 16 -17 now. they are like mcgregor and mayweather on how much smack they talk to each other. omg lol. i said just that. i named 1 mayweather the other mcgregor. then all sudden they was mma champs and wrestling.
I'm surprised you haven't fixed that fender yet. Or are you leaving it as an objective lesson? I had to buy my first car w/ no help from parents.Didn't get it until I was 19. When I finally did, It was a safe bet I took good care of it. Cough up that babysitting money Sage, time to make a down payment to the bank of dad.
They are lucky to have each other. Being the single male of an all female household sucked growing up. Always was outvoted. But when it came time to cars I was always asked to fix their cars.... Something they always forgot years down the road.
Your lucky you don't have my brothers! When they aren't in Jail they are doing drugs and drinking themselves to death. Now that we are older I make a point to not live in the same states they do. I also let the answering machine answer my land line phone, I don't dare give them my cell phone number. It usually takes a few days for them to stop calling me after I talk to them which I do maybe once a year.
K - Hey what’s up sister? I haven’t heard from you in a while, I’ve been calling. Anyway, can I borrow some money? Good to see you again... Love u, Bro

I've owned and maintained my 2001 ALH VW TDI Beetle for 17 years. Best damn car ever. It's never left me stranded, not once. I've done all the oil changes, filters, fuel pump seals, gas struts, head lights, brake pads, glow plugs, glow plug wiring harness, and turbo actuator vacuum hose replacement myself. Only time I've taken it into an expensive shop was when it was due for the timing belt replacement. Considering how many years I've used it and how good it runs, I can't think of a better car to get (MAYBE a Prius, if you can get one cheap). I paid $18,635 for mine brand new. Your teaching your girls an excellent work ethic. Not many parents do that these days. Kudos to you my friend
It's great that you're teaching your daughters how to maintain a car. I had no idea all of the different fluids that went into a car, or how often to check or change them when I got my first car. Love the playing card trick, I've used it on motorcycle rim painting a time or two. Works great!

“I do drivers ed so I KNOW how to drive” god that killed me 😂
Thank God there are fathers like you in this world.
well said mate, i had the hugest of fights with my brothers and now we look back on it all and laugh...
The lack of power is a dirty manifold/egr/that little pipe and don't forget to clean the ports as well then good as new.
You got a great music taste. Sometimes it’s a little ‚different‘, but it always fits. I love ur happy family too! Wish u all great success in the pursuit of happiness.
That's a sweet deal for that! I'd of jumped on it, too! 200k is nothing for a diesel.

Good daddy, teaching his girls how to take care of their autos 🤙🏻
That VW TDI is automotive gold! If the New Beetle sits a little high, just add some mud flaps and A/T tires and call it a "Rally Car".
Nice to see girls know how to change tires and work on cars. They are sisters they are always friends juts most times they will hate each other LOL.Nice buy
Change wheel not tyres:)
Such a fun video. Really enjoyed getting to see you interact with your kids more.
Rescued a green 2002 beetdi, full TB kit, glow plugs and thermo. Ready for stage 2-3 Malone

Red Poppy Ranch I need to do the same I'm just lazy and honestly don't trust myself (am 18 hehe) these cars are awesome haha
In these days when fifty percent of millennials don't know how to change a light bulb it's encouraging to see someone raising kids like yours.
That's a great deal!! Like to find one like that myself!!

Wish that your family had helped you a lot more on your home building over the years...

you should get one new fender for the car
Willy friesen I told her I would put it on after she got it.
Soooo how did the massive dent in the quarter panel get there ?
Smoking deal on the bug. We need to get you an old school air cool vw. 67?
Man! I love this family. You can be my father in law.
Great family
+Red Poppy Ranch - Serious question that sounds judgemental but isn't: How can you stand to be a "Volkswagen guy"? So what did you do with the truck
Robert Allen nothing. I'll never get rid of rusty!
What is the engine code on the Beetle ?
ALH
Red Poppy Ranch Ok whit the fixed turbo Blades,Some other atomizers and a chip 160 hp!
Sage dimples 😍
Just buy old beetle 1303s for both of them!😂😂
*i have 3 girls and it only gets better. My are now in their 40’s and best friends. Note women like to argue. Who know why?
So who got the Beetle?
I'm curious too..what happened to it..we never did hear??
I love VW, too, but what they did with the emissions scandal is unforgivable. I say this because just as diesel cars were (finally) gaining popularity in the US (again), they cheated...big time. Doing so inadvertently killed the public's interest in diesel cars and forced carmakers to abandon them in droves. For this reason, I will never buy from them again.
Between the efficiency, mileage and torque a diesel generates, there's something magical about them. Too bad they'll just be offering gas and electrics the next time I'm looking for a new car.
Great Video as always. Can anyone tell me the name of the song playing??
Still like your truck better.
maybe protective footwear at least?
Ahh sisterly love
Wish I could find a deal like that 🙄🙃
Your girls are funny.

Sweet Jesus that sage should try out her modeling career first before wasting that money on college.😵😵
