- Welcome to sunny Sarasota Florida, home of the famous St Armands Circle. One of the best and most unique spots in Sarasota for shopping, dining, and strolling. Separated from downtown Sarasota, Florida by two bridges, St. Armands Key is an island that was first settled in 1893.

Here is why visiting St. Armands Key is one of the best things to do in Sarasota Florida: there are over 130 businesses on St Armands Circle which offer visitors and residents plenty to explore and enjoy. The luxury shops have a wide range of boutique clothing and shoes, jewelry, gifts, home decor, and specialty products like Venice-made Tervis tumblers. There are also a variety of art galleries to admire. Some of our favorite shops on St. Armands Circle include The Giving Tree Gallery, The Spice & Tea Exchange, Wyland Galleries, Garden Argosy, and Bennington Tobacconist.
St Armands Circle has over a dozen restaurants and cafes which offer a terrific variety of cuisines and dining options. Our favorite restaurant on St. Armands is Columbia Restaurant which has been serving their award-winning Spanish-Cuban cuisine since 1905. And be sure to sample one of the many ice cream, gelato, and dessert shops on the circle!
St. Armands Key has a beautiful, lush park in the middle of the shopping circle, and the St. Armands Circle Association hosts events throughout the year.
Just a short walk from the circle is Lido Beach, one of the many pristine, relaxing beaches in Sarasota. Try for a stunning sunset walk along the water's edge-- you won't be disappointed!
St. Armands Key may be small, but it packs a lot of activity, flavors, and culture. The next time you're in Sarasota Florida, be sure to add St. Armands Circle to your list of things to do. It’s truly a local gem!

There was a really cool exotic car show on the circle this past weekend! There is also a family fair coming up… beautiful and so much to see/do! We love coming here.
Holy Cow..we’re on our way there in March ‘23..hope it’s still like it was in the early 2000’s..a special place, and a fancy place to take a wife, girlfriend or rich parent..ha..ha..

@@wherenexttravel yes ma'am, we were just there over the weekend with my sister who was visiting. There are also musical street performers, Love it there. If you ever get a chance, go there for the Christmas tree lighting, usually the first week on Dec, it's magical.

The only reason I know of this place is because of a musician named Dovydas who played there alot and they promoted themselves using his pictures on their Facebook page but now for some reason are butt hurt ( I guess they couldn't squeeze money out of him?) and sent him a cease and desist letter stating that he told his followers to harass them but he didn't (you can watch his videos of his performance)he simply said if you would like to see him play look on there website to find out when he was playing I don't understand there problem with the man he's actually a pretty good musician with a large following

After the way they treated Dovydas and sent a cease and desist letter to him i will never come back. They blatantly lied about him and it's just wrong. He made that square really popular, and you'll see, the traffic to that square will slow down a lot. Oh and i can't wait till Dovydas sues them. Your loss...
