If you’re wondering HOW I priced the hotels, I used google maps, entered the set of dates (I thought would be most helpful for you, a weekend in peak) and then typed in each hotel name and grabbed the price it gave out for the Hotel’s website with tax and fees)
Side note: this is one of my fave ways to quickly price out hotels in an area.

I live here in Sarasota and I fell down a rabbit hole of looking at videos like yours about Sarasota. I can say, as someone that is very proud of our community, you did a great job of showing people what Sarasota is all about. This was the most accurate video to show a slice of Sarasota. I'd say the thing people don't really know about the area, which you touched on, is our food options. There is a great amount of restaurants, per capita, with a wide variety of styles.

If you get a chance head slightly north to Anna Maria Island! The beach is equally as beautiful as Siesta but I bit less people you get that small island vibe!!

Siesta Key was always my favorite beach and the reason I moved to Florida. The whole stretch from Anna Maria Island to Siesta Key is wonderful. So much to see and do.

There is something so romantic about a jetty. I love that statue! Never been kayaking in Mangroves - (Utah doesn't have too many of them, LOL) guess that means I need to get out to Florida again to do a big ole Kayaking trip! Orchids are so so pretty, just wish I could keep them alive, lol.
ooohhhhh now every time i'm droning a jetty i'm going to feel a little romantic with my drone! LOVE IT. the mangroves are amazing. they are also MANMADE. its interesting because they contribute to helping to keep the waters clear/fresh and therefore it helps with the mosquito problem. isn't that crazy? and yes, orchids are.. impossible.. to keep alive.

What a great video. I love the scenic views of Sarasota. I have never been there, but will try next time I plan a trip to Florida. I love the beaches. It may be hot there, but the beaches are awesome. I love it also because the water is warm unlike in California! Thanks for sharing your tips.

@@ChristineLozada When I read somewhere that less than 5% were drone pilots I decided to get a drone and certified lol. Come to Sarasota anytime...I would say the winter months are the best. Not too cold, or warm.

How would I get fly from Tucson Arizona to Sarasota? Some one told me Tampa because it's cheaper but I'm still lost. Please help!
sarasota has its own (tiny) airport. the closest major would be tampa

Hello Christine. Im a single 42 yr old who was thinking of relocating here. Is there a 30-40 year old demographic and night life here? Or is it mainly seniors ?
Oooo slow response from me sorry Walter! I thought there was a really great younger scene here. I spend a lot of time in Florida and relative to other places, it's definitely NOT a retirement scene there (but it's also not Miami).
There's a lot of younger people moving here. I've made friends easier than I thought. Also a big difference in the winter

Can i get by without a car in Sarasota?
Hi Mac! I think it depends on what you want to do… If you want to do some of the activities that I did in my video, you must have a car. But if you’re just trying to go to the beach, and stay near the beach, and eat near the beach… You can totally just book a hotel that is on the beach [or an Airbnb]. The downtown area is cool, and lots of things are near each other, but if you want to be getting to the keys and the beach then you’ll either need to get a car or use Uber or Lyft

Aw man does it? I was just there for a week (TONS of videos dropping) and I had theeee best time! I think one of my faves was the cocktail competition held at the stadium. Have you been to Sarasota? I felt there was a solid young professionals crowd. Nothing that compares to when I lived in SF and NYC, but that's an entirely diff place!
@@ChristineLozada ive been to Marco island Miami and up the east coast to st Augustine. Never to sarasota. I’m from Orange County ca which is great but thinking of moving to Florida.
