Rosa in the front row giving me a low-key panic attack
It can't really be helped. FuSoYa is so weak, he needs to be in the back.
@@edgeninja when I do this, I switch the row structure to have Edge and Cecil in front and three in back.
Put edge in the back. Lol he's made of paper worse than Rose
@@edgeninja Yes it can, if you know how to play the game.
supposedly being in the back row in FF4 doesn't affect damage you receive/take like other FFs, all it does is cut your accuracy in half when not using a long range weapon
You have taught us the value of teamwork, which is why we will attack you one at a time.
Lol, seriously. I was always disappointed by this fight for that exact reason, though it would have been a pain to clear. Still, now that the four fiends are in FF 14, I fully expect there will eventually be an Ultimate battle that is in fact all four of them at once.
That made no sense. At the very least they should have switched every few turns.
I thought you'd face all 4 of them on the same screen, that would have made things interesting,
Rubicante: *heals you*
Other Elemental Lords: Damn it, what are you doing?!
Other Elemental Lords: I can't believe we lost!
Rubicante: It's been an honor.
For an evil fiend, Rubicante is quite noble.
Just because he's a bad guy doesn't mean he's a bad person.
Someone's gotta put the Lawful in Lawful Evil, and damnit, Rubicante is the only guy for that job!
Hyadain did justice to this theme yet again for the XIV trials.
Every time those bosses died and crumbled away when I played the original version, I always imagined them screaming "NOOOOOOO!!!!" as they died.
This really does sound like a theme song for the demons from Dante's Inferno. I kept rats as pets in my youth and always named them after the demons named in the book.
Yooooooo you put Rosa up front with Cecil and Edge?! You brave mad lad you!! Lol
I ended up at too low a level in the Giant of Babel, so this fight was pretty tense. I barely beat the mechanical dragon (ordinary enemy!) and almost got stuck in a death loop on the CPU. It helps a little to have Rosa in the back row (she has a lot of HP, but poor defense.) Rubicante's restoration of your hp/mp in this situation isn't really that much of a game changer as there is a save spot not far off. As always, some items (like Phoenix Downs and Hi-/X-potions) are worth their weight in gold. They really help you out in this battle by giving you Fusoya who is basically a double-Tellah, having the ability to cast two third tier elemental spells per round makes the incredible amount of damage you need to inflict bearable.
I love this version the brass makes it more epic
This actually looks a lot more bearable here. The only version I played is the DS remake and this fight took a whole day of attempts
THE DS REMAKE IS NOTORIOUSLY DIFFICULT.
Honestly it was easy compare to golbez battle.
@@ARandomDarkLink ???? notoriously easy you mean
@@joshk147 No offense here, what reality are you in bro? That game was far from easy. Only beat it because I abused grinding on the moon. I wish I bought the steam version because the DS version only has one difficulty.
My first time playing this was the ds version and I have bad memories of this battle specifically because i got to this battle in my first playthrough, lost a couple times, then I had to restart from the beginning because my save somehow got deleted
Definitely one of the greatest versions of this theme. It’s so hype and one of the best battle themes in any rpg
Motif: "...uhhh okay *ahem* FINALLY a worthy opponent! Have at you, fiend! (just fake it til you make it, Cecil...)"
All 4 should have been out at once to make this a true fight
can totally see the remake of this fight in xiv as next ultimate^^
The four lords ? That'd be cool indeed. Can't wait to know what's in stock for Rubicante
@@Anaklusmos42 Rubicante: Would you like to see what's under my cloak?
Derplander: THERE ARE LALAFELL IN THIS PARTY!
@@bon7029 And then we actually get Rubicante's remix.....
@@historiabyssus and Hyadain be like "GUESS WHAT I'M RELEVANT AGAIN BITCHES!"
@@bon7029 hahaha..... ummm about that
_"Manto no naka, misete yarou ka..."_
Fucking rocking theme
Play this with 1.10 speed, it slaps harder and the beat feels better.
Can confirm, it slaps at that speed
This^^ I hated that they slowed it down from the original versions
Yeah, I can't stand that they slowed it down, I always swap to the original snes version for these fights.
Fun fact, use Curaga on Scarmilone and it does substantial damage!
That's the case for all undead enemies in early FF games.
HELP! WRONG PARTY STRUCTURE! HELP!
What happened to their proper names, Rubicante, Cagnazzo, Barbariccia and Scarmiglione?
Pretty sure this fight was always like that with them sharing a single name.
@@TigerNightmare yeah, I think it always said something like 'four elements' - it's a unique boss in that it changes form when it receives a certain amount of damage. Ironic since they claim to want to 'work together' but still just fight you one at a time.
I mean in the DS version they kinda "fuse" together and become an absolute nightmare...
That was a New Game + exclusive superboss in the DS version, Geryon.
Does this sound slower than the SNES original or is it just me?
It is slightly slower,
It is.
Barbariccia my boo.
Is it just me, or do the character sprite look less detailed than the PSP version?
How is this remake not on the switch?
All six are coming to the Switch next spring, apparently.
@@VideoMask93 You serious!? 😃
@@redmage8719 The official website says "coming soon" for all six, and I read elsewhere they were planning a bundle.
@@VideoMask93 My personal favorite is 5.
@@VideoMask93 digital only for the west but I believe there’s a limited physical release in Asia
This lacks the intensity of the original...
I honestly don’t like the music remakes for the pixel remasters at all. It’s missing the feeling and atmosphere of the originals. Also, can we talk about the worst most generic font ever…
Another video of a classic Final Fantasy game uploaded by someone that has no idea how to play the game.
Yeah, healing the enemy? How hard is it to look up enemy weaknesses?
@@JASpiring I was mainly talking about not knowing how to arrange characters in the front and back rows properly.
This version of the theme fits better for an anime, playing the game i prefer the original snes music
