People are saying the actual root problem is the dryer vent is restricted, and the low airflow causes the air coming into the dryer through that screen to get too hot. So replacing the screen isn't going to fix the problem because it will get just hot again from low airflow and melt more clothes. You have to fix the venting so it has enough airflow (clean out the dryer duct and eliminate corrugated foil flex ducts, use rigid metal duct only). More airflow will reduce the temps so things don't melt.
I had a tech come out and replace my heater with a lower voltage heater and replaced the screen with a carbon steel one. Hoping it makes a difference. It was all covered under warranty.
@@alexthehandyman3494,if i'm replace the cover is it possible will get the same trouble ,because the original cover were melt ,are you have other solution for it's case

You didn’t trust them? Did you replace their damaged clothes?
I believed them but I did not replace any clothing. Just replaced the screen.
U can't just sand that off?
NO. the heat destroys it. And is very sharp.
