- Today we are exploring one of the most beautiful and best rated trails in Colorado, Imogene pass. In the San Juan mountains it is the 2nd highest pass in Colorado reaching 13,117 ft at its highest point. We had a blast exploring the abandoned mine towns including the popular town of Tomboy. The 4x4 4wd off roading was great, the 4Runner performed flawlessly and the views were amazing. Thanks for watching!

It was super busy man! Definitely wasn’t expecting the crowd. We got caught up with a group of probably 30 jeeps coming up the opposite way, but it’s all good. Got nothing but time when we’re up there lol

@@bfm_overland You are welcome. BTW, I liked the old music when the Land Cruiser drove by. I've opened it a few times but only had a chance to really use it once. So far we like it. The mattress is too firm though. LOL. It seems a little hard to close.. How about yours?

We love ours, I’ve used the crap out of it with no issues. And the kids love it, super spacious! Yes the closing part took some practice, I leave a couple blankets and pillows in it. Sometimes I sit on the top of it while I Velcro it to get that flush close

I have that rooftop tent and it is so noisy, things rattle when I hit bumps or it gets rough, especially on pass roads like this. Have you experienced this? Any tips?
Yes I was having some noise issues as well! It was making my roof rack shift a little bit (I have a no drill roof rack) so I put rubber in between the roof rack where it was shifting and the roof of my truck, that solved my issue.
What rack are you running?
I have a 100 series with a Bowfin Cruisers rack. The rack is super solid but that’s an interesting idea. I have cross bars under the tent that its not attached to, maybe its bouncing against them.
I was thinking its the ladder bouncing around.
Nice! Yea it could be the issue, it’s such a heavy tent there’s alot of pressure on the rails. 100 series sounds nice!

Imogene is nice but there are more beautiful trails in Colorado and way way less traffic but im not saying where. 😂

I'd swear that is supposed to be one way the way you are going those others are not supposed to be coming up that direction....
It was a tight fit! I had to reverse down one section to let a jeep through. But it’s all good, great time either way 🤙🏼
Imogene Pass is two-way traffic.
